Cassel: No, that was the first King Kong film in 1933. (Yes, they had films that long ago! LOL) He sat through the entire film in a darkened auditorium with his hands over his eyes. Poor Bobby never lived it down!
I’m showing you two movie posters from that year: one that’s pretty scary (in French) and the other because they styled it in Art Deco that was all the rage in the 1930s.
X = XC Running — distance running races over natural terrain.
Corrie: Best of luck to you! I’ve only been hiking once or twice, and that when I visited Debbie in California. They have always been big into fitness. For myself now, I have an Under-Desk Elliptical that I’m supposed to use twice a day. (I don’t always make it)
Looking forward to your innovations, Carole! I’m always amazed at how you handle all of this. I’ve decided you must have Good Gremlins helping you and one goes rogue once in a while! 😉
Lynda: Ha ha! It took me a minute but now I’m rolling! 😀
I was inspired by Carole’s tale of worrying about falling down the bathtub drain and I remembered an incident from my school days. I was always very skinny and was teased about it. So my friends wrote a song about me. They sang it to me in private so at least it wasn’t “trending” in my classes! So here’s “Annie, Where Are You Going?”
I started with a white background and added Carole’s musical paper which I Multiplied. I might add, I initially rotated the template 90 degrees because I wanted a horizontal photo which I found using Google Images. The scalloped paper I treated to Blinds texture. The colors were coming from a palette I chose from PSPs collection called “Monet.” For the blue photo mat I used the Effect/Illumination/Lights. The musical décor I already had. The arrow is from Heather T “Love Spoken Here” which I colored using the Monet colors. The font for the journaling and title is Babilonia.
I honestly always thought this incident was quite amusing! 😀
I did this class in 2020 and this is what I came up with for Story Time: Fear. (I’m doing another for this class, too.)
T=Tractor Pulling — a motorsport involving modified tractors that pull a weighted sled along a 10m wide, 100m track.
Day 5-Story Time-Food: Here’s my very own Venison Flambé. I used Carole’s hamburger alphas! 😀 The kit is called Boozy Wine Mini. The flames were in my stash and the deer is from a free .png site.
Susan Ewart: Look under Adjust/Add-Remove Noise and you’ll find it.
STORY TIME-DAY 5 – FOOD – (Rerun) I have to drag this out of storage as it’s one of my favorites from my early days here.
Michele: [Now, don’t laugh!] I’m trying out the Hue Up/Down brush and not convinced this is the effect that you are supposed to get. Somehow, the more I clicked, the colors changed but grew exponentially until I had this rainbow effect! Not what I was after. What is the secret?

Here’s another – all my mats come from PSP Frames and the frames are borders that I buttonize and shadow
Here’s a shot of a Red Lionfish that I treated to a watercolor technique. The photo was taken at the Chicago Aquarium by Jackie during her recent vacation. I dressed it up a bit with a mat and frame.
Monticello Raceway is nearby, just north of us in Sullivan County, NY. All the photos are from a Google search, except for the class photo of Laurey when she was 16 and had finally shed her braces. The title is done with a pair of fonts that you combine the top (USA Nation Stars) and the bottom (USA Nation Line) with patriotic colors.
This story is famous in our family, and I intend to embarrass Laurey with this layout on Sept 14th, which will be her 60th birthday! (This is how to make ME feel old!) 😉
Michele: I’ll have to try that Hue Up/Down brush. Love your colorful designs. I’ve missed seeing your Fabulous Divas!
I don’t think I’ve ever given the full history of our family business, the Warwick Drive-In Theater. Seeing it posted, it looks readable.
Cindy: I like the name Cynthia! Your dad picked a good one. ((hugs))
Story Time Workshop-Day1-Extra: I used the free mini kit offered by Pixelscrappers this week. (marisa-lerin_51798_autumn-art-mini-kit) I decided to use as much of it as possible, so this layout is rather cluttered. Not my usual style! The “story” was actually part of the kit, also.

Susan: With my 3 daughters, I now have a 1960, a 1962 and a 1967. So, if (when!) I adopt you; you would slot right in there with my girls. 😉
Here’s My Story. My dad was a railroad man born in 1892.

QP-7: Rondout Creek, Kingston, NY – The title is an alpha that I colored using the Change to Target brush. The photo is from Unsplash.
E = Eventing — riders compete in three types of races, dressage, cross-country and show jumping, in a single competition.
QP-6 EXTRA-NEWCOMERS IN MY AQUARIUM-ENDLERS GUPPIES. Obviously, I tore this QP apart, keeping only the background and the four-photo array. My aquarium is now a lot livelier!
QP-6: Introducing Luna. My friend Connie got a new kitten.
Cindy: Beautiful photos and nice job with the color changes. Looks like everything worked out well. Good job!
And here is QP5 -Extra: Fandom is Family (World Con 2017) It seems I just missed our 5-year anniversary earlier this month!
Here is one of my QP-Day 5: The girls are in the air as I speak, on their way home, and they sent me 50 more photos! Here’s Lake Michigan.
