Went from Mushrooms to Murmurations – I used a template from the Bootcamp with some revisions and I’m showcasing my European Starlings that are dominating my feeders right now. They inspire awe when they gather by the thousands and perform their “Murmuration.” exhibiting wonderful flying acrobatics that makes Tom Cruise jealous. 😉 The birds start as dull beige fledglings with a tiny bit of dark feathers around the waist and slowly the mature coloration arrives. They were brought to New York by a Shakespeare enthusiast who wanted to stock our country with all the birds in the plays. Only the starlings survived the transplant and have expanded by the millions, becoming a pest species.
My background is a photo of the Murmuration from Unsplash by Walter Baxter. The font is Britannic Bold throughout.Y = Yak Polo — a Mongolian variation of the sport Polo played on yaks instead of on horses. 😉
Man, these are getting confusing!
O = Outrigger Canoeing
Susan: Yes, my granddaughter, Anna, in California, used to attend a “dancercise” class that offered “pole dancing.” I’ve been hunting for the photos she sent me to prove it wasn’t at a strip club! 😉
D = Dodgeball
I was working on this after a “photo-shoot” of my “Lonely S’hroom” in the mulch under my bird feeders yesterday. Then I watched Carole’s Titles 3 webinar and got a little more creative with the title here. The font is Baby Olivia that was massaged and fondled until she cried “Enuf!” 😉 All the photos are mine with my iPhone mostly using Portrait settings except where I got down on my elbows for the side shot. (Ouch!) I assume this is a wild mushroom though I cannot actually ID it for sure. It was gone today after a big rainstorm last night, but two tiny babies popped up to stand guard over the area. I used a template labeled Sketch Template 05 in my collection. I created two patterns: one from the photo background of mulch and birdseed hulls that I used to fill the title font and another from the mushroom alone that I attacked with the kaleidoscope effect and filled the circular areas top right and left. The camera tag lower right is from a collection of Travel Tags we got from Cassel but I transformed it to a negative instead of color. I may use it again when I have my own photos to display.
EDIT: Had to correct the misplaced apostrophe in the title!

Susan Ewart: Very nice layout. The “wood” leaves are interesting and effective. Pray tell, what is a “flat lay project?” Is it when you are looking down at a subject from above so there would be less dimension and/or shadows? I’ve never encountered that before. Ha! Something new every day around here. The one thing I lack is a decent camera. I use my iPhone XS which is more sophisticated than any camera I ever had before!
X = Xare — a racket sport, a form of Basque pelota, where players face each other across a net that is strung across the middle of an indoor court.
Bonnie: That’s very effective. The ball looks cut into the background, rather like the sports cards. The use of sections of the basketball as masks is striking! The NSG should hire you! 🙂
The sport is Roller Skating, and the star is great-granddaughter Magic. (Who else? 😉 )

Jannette: Here in the US we call it Miniature Golf, which still starts with M. 😉
Here you go, Mary: Focus Stacking in Paintshop Pro 2023
I = Ice Hockey
Thanks, Carole! Good to know…
Susan Ewart: I didn’t get an email, but my PSP 2022 /Home/Upgrade gave me the details for 2023 Ultimate. I didn’t see anything about “focus stacking” and I don’t know what that is…
Marie-Claire: What a beautiful layout! I love the color scheme and that title with the gradient works very well. Now I’ll have to try the green/lavender myself! 😉
I received a photo of Magic, vacationing at Grandma Beth’s in Colorado, so I tried out one of the cass-SportsCard templates. Here’s MAGIC / COLORADO.
U = Uniforms
I just wanted to share this previous layout I did for the Mud Bog that we hold on our property. It’s like a Jeep Rallye, I guess, and everyone has a great time! It’s not a competition, just a lot of fun.
M = Mountain climbing
I would like to see a “hands-on” demo of the Warp Brush with its various settings and when to use them.
Also, the Warp Mesh looks very interesting; but I can’t imagine when it would be useful?
Corrie: Thank you! I’m afraid they duck when they see another layout “incoming…” 😉
Janette: I don’t use anything better than normal printer paper. My calendars are discarded after the month is done.
My great-grandson Logan, who is 2-1/2, got his first haircut (that he finally sat still enough to accomplish it!) I heard the magic trick is to keep him busy eating! Granddaughter Ilana (Mom) and (Dad) fiancé Maverick are thrilled he’s clipped and snipped in time for their wedding on Sept. 9th.
I used the template I made for the “Friendship” bootcamp assignment, with some edits. I’m pleased that I made most of the elements myself. The top left cluster is just shapes that I colored and added a brad from Pixelscrapper. The bottom right one is a circle shape, colored and with texture and a frame added. The scissor and lock of hair are from Pngtree. I used cass-curved photo script on the certificate. The papers came from a mega kit called Cambodia from Marisa Lerin. I had fun playing with the colors in this one!

Happy August! Here’s a Big Cat Calendar featuring a Cougar for August 2022 that I created using photos from a calendar my daughter gave me for Christmas that was too small for my wall and a calendar template for 2022 that was provided here in the Campus last fall. Last month I uploaded a full size (8.5″x11″) version in the “Files” area of our Facebook group. I print it out myself for my kitchen. Let me know if you want August and I will put this one up, also. Just click on my name under my photo here and send me a message. Enjoy!
