My nephew’s theme for his wedding was “Gangster”. I took the photo of them in front of the church (original image below), then extracted just them, the driver and the car. I got a photo from 1967 Chicago Grand Central Station and added the extracted wedding photo to make it appear more “genuine” in time.

Decided to make a “sign of the times”. Arrow indicating to keep distance, but our fall corn field as a background is kind of tongue-in-cheek since we are already living social distancing 🙂

I wanted to make a “cute” party invitation for Halloween. Took a picture of my cat with her bat wings on (cropped only her out of the picture), added lighted pumpkins to her eyes, used some distortion effects on the background, then followed the gradient tutorial to create a couple gradient overlays for the background. Since I wanted to highlight Bella, I added illumination effects. All  except the picture cropping was done in PSP2020.

Annie: I used the selection tool, copied the selected area, pasted to a new image and cleaned up the borders using the eraser; then used image enhancement to brighten photo. Thanks for the encouragement. As time allows, I will be doing more!

              Thanks all.

Annie: I love your layout (I am not a scrapbooker, so this was a first-step challenge for me). I am hoping to get to the point where I can envision a perfect layout for the subject (as yours is).

Thank you – opening a new blank image – your suggestion (1) – worked like a charm!
I now have all my scripts in my new folder and the ones I’ve tried so far are working great!! Thanks!!!

I installed PSP 2018 — and while I left my PSP X9 installed, upon attempting to open it, it errors. So, I have to use the 2018 instance…no big deal, except I wanted to use some scripts on the new version. (The contents of the folders for scripts, brushes, etc do not copy to the new instance.) So, I copied the cass-puzzle4x6 script and the required Preset Shape to their respective folders in the 2018 My Documents instance.

When running the script, it indicates the Preset Shape is not there – even though it is — and it is name correctly (the only difference being that the script itself does not user the “PspScript” extension.  Is anyone else running into issues with the 2018 version?

                      Thanks

I downloaded the free version, paid $69 to upgrade to v6 and without any knowledge of filters, tried this program out…

I used a photo I’d taken of tulips (which I had previously experimented on with changing the color of one of the tulips).

I opened my photo in PSP X9, applied the Filter Forge effects and came up with some pretty cool results.

The photo attached (l-r clockwise) has my original photo, a grunge filter, an edge-finder filter, and a creative “stamp” filter.

In about 1 hour I was producing like a pro! (which I am not – far from it)

THANK YOU Cassel for making me aware of this. This is a “gold-mine find”.

My very first (ever!!) scrapbooking page.  I am so excited!!!

Obviously the Snow Quick Page worked well for this photo….I am really excited to share it!

Thanks Cassell – this will make me look good!!
