Dawn, very sweet and lovely cards in gorgious colors! It’s so nice seeing your work here again. I have to look into the Grafic Fairy and the Eye Candy plugin now; more to do then, I haven’t time enough for all this wonderful things, especially because I’m also following a lot of the older masterclasses at the moment. The list for things to do when winter comes is growing and growing……
July 20, 2022 at 7:58 pm #79721Corrie … Thank you for your kind comments about my cards. There is so much one can do in PSP so i hope you are enjoying the masterclasses. look forward to viewing more of your work… best wishes to you.

July 20, 2022 at 10:33 pm #79733Lab 9 Mod 8: Outlined text (title); Halftone Brush (made it and several papers with it – background paper is one of them); Fancy wheels (one colored in gold gradient and inner bevelled – upper left; one colored in desert tones gradient – upper right); all the other papers and elements are my own.
I can’t believe I called this the Oregon River – not true – it’s the Columbia River – the boundary between Washington and Oregon. I must have been really tired when I thought I had finished it. And now that I have corrected it, I think I misspelled it! I think I’d better get back to my birthday cards since all my daughters-in-law have their birthdays in August!
So here is (I hope) the corrected copy.- This reply was modified 2 years, 3 months ago by Mary Solaas.

July 21, 2022 at 5:51 am #79742Sometimes templates are the way to go when you’re rushed for time as I usually am for my daily pic. I started with Corel’s collage template 05 and went from there.
July 21, 2022 at 6:01 am #79745One of Cassel’s quick pages inspired my Life of the Party theme. With FB’s new format I tend to work on pages that conform so they are displayed properly. 3000 x 2000 pixels or thereabouts seems to work. If you don’t use that ratio, FB adds borders that don’t necessarily look good as those of you who post on FB already know.
July 21, 2022 at 7:05 am #79748hello Michele… i always enjoy viewing your Fab Diva pages… you do a great job presenting your daily themes and hope you continue to post them here that way i get to see your very creative work… well done on these two pics .. the life of the party put a smile on my face.
best wishes ,
Dawn.
July 21, 2022 at 9:52 am #79753Thanks so much, Dawn.
July 21, 2022 at 10:37 am #79755Michele: I also enjoy turning QPs into templates. I don’t use a script. I noticed the background FB adds so I add a black border to my “desktop” size (900×900). My desktop is black so it works there and FB always picks up on the black and just adds more, according to their algorithm. Here’s an example …
July 21, 2022 at 8:51 pm #79775Our latest PB tourney, Rumble In The Park 3. Template by Christine Aufty in the Commons at Pixel Scrapper. There were places for 14 photos…I added 2 more. Of course, I turned off the placeholders. It is a pretty busy page with just the photos and repeated title.
July 22, 2022 at 5:40 am #79795Oh, Ann, Mr. Chip is so darn cute! I know we have chipmunks in NY, but I don’t remember ever seeing one.
July 22, 2022 at 5:56 am #79798Here’s another of Corel’s templates I used, “card-frame-frame-03.” I ran across the pic of the girls several years ago and absolutely fell in love with it, but couldn’t track down the original in order to give credit. I adjusted the size to fit FB’s format and changed the colors by picking them from the photo. Using the Mosaic Glass effect gave the frame a little more interest without “overpowering” the subjects. The text font is Childwood Normal (free from CF) and the little decorative dingbats are Gumi Font Symbols (free from Dafont).
July 22, 2022 at 6:50 am #79799what a great page Michele, love the way you have made the frames around the picture of the little girls and those dingbats are so cute… best of wishes are sent your way.

July 22, 2022 at 7:55 am #79801Template from Lab 11-07. I selected it because I was looking for a multi-photo template. When I opened it in PSP I discovered it was designed for 1 photo. I decided to go with the design as intended. Now off to look for multi-photo templates.
July 22, 2022 at 8:45 am #79802Mary, beautiful layout for your lab9-mod8. The color choices are perfect
Ann, so lucky to have chipmunks, you are a master at making templates.
Michele, I love your use of templates and how you’ve changed them. Thanks for adding the before and after, it’s quite a change and wouldn’t think to do that.
Bonnie, I love the colors you chose in both your templates. And I like the look of both, especially the single one and how you have the subject perfectly in a frame of it’s own .
And I agree, I hate the border FB adds. Good ideas to change the size of the layout to match or make the black border. On Marketplace they have a big blurred background and a smaller picture of what you are selling and that drives me nuts. What a waste of pixels and space.

July 22, 2022 at 8:56 am #79805Thank you, ladies. <3
July 22, 2022 at 5:40 pm #79826Bonnie mentioned this template, so I decided to have it actually display multiple photos. My granddaughter, Ilana’s bridal shower was Sun July 17.
July 23, 2022 at 6:41 pm #798812022…2021 postponed…National Senior Games. Women’s Basketball Silver medalist.
Template, Pixel Scrapper, Christine Aufty, Qucik and Easy Layout.July 23, 2022 at 6:41 pm #79883Another National Senior Games basketball page. I used a photo of Making the rest of my life the best of my life, then inserted a photo of play.
July 23, 2022 at 6:42 pm #79885This started as a background paper. I removed the middle, placed the photo below and extracted the medal. This sand sculpture was inside the Convention Center where we also play bball and pickleball.
July 24, 2022 at 10:55 am #79941Bonnie I love your all your ball layouts, be it basket- or pickleball and they are all different!!!
July 24, 2022 at 11:06 am #79944These are 2 of the new cards I made using the “envelop”freebie by CF a couple of days ago. It makes a great mask and I needed some new cards for upcoming birthdays etc. I always leave room to enter a special text for the recipient and I can replace the happy birthday with something else. There was a new freebie yesterday so I hope some of you have got that one. On the pink one I used it as is and the lilac one I adapted.

July 25, 2022 at 4:07 am #79982I just wanted to pass along a discovery I made. Carole mentioned the Basic Scrap Course is next on the agenda, and, as usual, I have done those exercises a few times. I took a look and was pleasantly surprised to find two new lessons added that were quite exciting. Ordinarily there were five lessons, but now there are seven! Here’s a link to the new Module 6 of the Basic Scrap Course for everyone to explore. I’ll be back with my own interpretation later.
July 25, 2022 at 4:21 am #79983hello Corrie, very pretty cards and they will surely give joy to those who receive them.. look forward to seeing more when you make them.. best wishes to you,
Dawn.
