Michele, I love the photos, and the layout came out great. I wonder how long do you take to find the right picture for your gaming group’s daily theme; I guess it takes some time… If you liked the Curved Photo Script, take a look at the Lifted Photo Script… I have both and tend to use them quite often. 🙂
Marlene, I like your card very much. This string technique looks very interesting.
March 8, 2019 at 9:22 pm #26571Delightful card Marlene. Lovely use of coordinating colours. <3
March 8, 2019 at 9:26 pm #26572I understand what you are saying dear Dawn. I love viewing your work so am happy to hear that you are managing to play again. Ill health just seems to creep in on us as we get older … darn bodies! <3
March 9, 2019 at 6:26 am #26578Hi Scrapbook Campers. I had a review of Lab 8 – Module 8 today. This is my result using the freebie template, Cassel’s button alpha, picture freebies from the web, a cluster I made using FayetteDesigns scrap kit – Cherry Tart, and the background paper I created from the lesson in Lab 8 – Module 8 – Outlined Polka Dots. Thanks for takin a peek.
P.S. For the word “Sewing” I used the font “Betty Noir” which was a freebie and the link is in the Notebook for L8-M8.
March 9, 2019 at 7:59 am #26581hello Annie.. thank you for your kind comment above.. I very much enjoy viewing all your wonderful projects also … you are very creative.. Your page above is lovely.. the colours and elements you have chosen along with that freebie from Cassel are delightful… I downloaded that freebie to and am hoping to use them in a card project.
best wishes,
Dawn.
March 9, 2019 at 8:12 am #26582hello Marlene, you made a lovely card and the string effect looks great and I agree PSP can create similar effects like those of the traditional card making styles.
hello Cristina, thank you for your thoughtful message in your last post to me… I am starting to enjoy my craft work once again.
best wishes to you both,
Dawn.
March 9, 2019 at 8:57 am #26583A big thank you to everyone for your lovely comments on my pics. This is a wonderfully supportive and safe place to share.
Cristina, I have the Lifted Photo script, too. It’s amazing what we can do with the use of scripts. It would take me forever just to figure out how to do it. How long it takes me to do my daily pic depends on the theme they choose and my inspiration or lack thereof. Sometimes I’m scrambling until the deadline and other times it all comes together relatively quickly. Unfortunately, it’s usually the former LOL

March 9, 2019 at 11:54 am #26589Marlene – Your string theory pic looks great!
Michele – Well done on your latest gaming group pic!
Annie – Really cute ABCDE Sewing pic complete with examples!
March 9, 2019 at 7:25 pm #26605Thanks so much dear Dawn and I am really looking forward to viewing your project, just love your work. <3
March 9, 2019 at 7:28 pm #26606You are a sweetie shutterpixi, thank you very much. <3
March 9, 2019 at 9:02 pm #26609hello Everyone… here is card 3 of the 12 card templates from 2017 card challenge that I have set myself a challenge to do. I have tweaked the template a little by just making the place holders a bit bigger….Created the paper with the help of eye candy plugin …. flowers are PSP tubes within the programme and the Diamonds are a tube I have in my collection…. Lace done with Cassel’s Lace edge font….. images are from a kit purchased quite a while ago for another software program but the site has since closed down… the pics still come in handy though….. will keep this card in my email card folder till November when maybe will send as a greeting to a relative who likes to get dressed up for special occasions especially Australia’s Melbourne Cup Day.
best wishes to all,
Dawn.
March 9, 2019 at 10:19 pm #26610Dawn – That’s a great card you made! Love the results, and thanks for the info on what you did/used!
March 10, 2019 at 12:24 am #26618shutterpixi Thank you so much for your comments on my card 3 … and the forum is a great place for sharing how we have put our projects together, many of the members are happy to share this way and the inspiration we can receive from viewing everyone projects (i know i do) is wonderful.
here is my card 4 of those 12 card templates…I used Cass Gingham n Argyle script for the gingham paper and Cass Lace tube and Paper Butterfly script…. ribbon was made with a script from Joannes digital design…. i created the butterfly embossed overlay last year from a free image from old design shop and used Cass Emboss script on it.. using different layer modes give some nice effects…. i had a packet of gold skeleton leaves that i purchased a few years ago, so scanned one into computer and made a brush from it… for this card used that brush and played with sculpture texture and colours to help get it to what you see…also used the same effects on the lace.
best wishes to everyone,
Dawn.
March 10, 2019 at 7:57 am #26628Great images in your first card. I think your relative will love it. I love how you carried the butterfly theme throughout the second card. The leaf brush is awesome. It all really looks 3-D.

March 10, 2019 at 8:42 am #26632Dawn, I just love all your cards and I am particularly smitten with “Enjoy Your Day” … beautiful and elegant. You have a wonderful knack for putting them together, well done my friend. <3
March 11, 2019 at 10:11 am #26702Did anyone else get Cass’s Old Book Alpha from her newsletter last month? I’ve been wanting to use it for something and the perfect daily theme popped up in my game last night.

March 11, 2019 at 10:25 am #26703Annie, what a nice layout. I love the colors and the idea of using Sewing ABC for the layout.
Dawn, your cards are very nice. I love the butterfly embossed overlay and the leaves brush. I’ve also registered for the card challenge back then, but because I had traveled and there were other challenges later, I never had the opportunity to work with them… You reminded me of them. 🙂
March 11, 2019 at 10:39 am #26704Michele, simple and beautiful layout. I like the idea of just using a silhouette of a woman reading.
I am so behind… Still working in the Day 7 layout of the Love Story challenge. And there are so many more challenges here in the Campus: theme, word…
March 11, 2019 at 12:50 pm #26709Dawn – Your butterfly-themed card 4 is gorgeous! Very nice work!
Michele – That’s a great use of the Old Book Alpha! It fits perfectly with the rest of your image!
Cristina – You’ll get caught up, just keep having fun and enjoy the ride!
March 11, 2019 at 8:41 pm #26721Michele, Thank you my friend for your comment on my cards.. always appreciated. it took a bit of playing around to get the silver effect on the leaf brush but had a pleasant time doing it and was happy with the result…
Your project is very nice.. it is amazing how doing a monochromatic theme on a projects can be so effective.. i did not get the alpha but it does look great on your page.
all the best,
Dawn.
March 11, 2019 at 9:01 pm #26722Annie, thanks so much for your kind words and am hoping my relative will like it also when she receives it in November.
shutterpixi, thanks so much for your kind comment .. really enjoyed doing the butterfly card.. I like to make cards for sending in my emails to friends and family…hopefully to put a bright spot in their day.
Cristina, Thank you .. always appreciate your kind comments on my cards.. it is so easy to forget about all the templates we have from past challenges or from the lab that I decided to put them all into a special PSP folder to remind me about them when having trouble getting started on a project… they come in very handy.
as always best wishes to you all,
Dawn.
March 12, 2019 at 9:25 am #26734So glad you liked my literary pic, ladies. It’s always a joy to hear your kind words. (I take constructive criticism, too.)
Dawn, you can still get the old book alphas here on the blog. They were from the February theme post.

March 12, 2019 at 9:30 am #26736Today I found what I thought was a great use for Carole’s Custom Game Card Script. There’s a good amount of flexibility with the script. I had a lot of fun using it.

March 12, 2019 at 1:38 pm #26745Michele – You’re right — that was a great use for that script! What a nice result! Love the color combinations – the pics just pop!
March 12, 2019 at 9:09 pm #26766Michele a lovely result, it is a nice script.. the orchid photos and your colour choice.. all blends nicely together.
I downloaded the book alpha Thanks for showing me where it was.
Dawn.
March 13, 2019 at 9:12 am #26777Thanks shutterpixi and Dawn. The flowers dictated the colors. The orchids were so spectacular that I thought they could hold their own if I used the same colors on the cards. I’m glad you agree.

March 13, 2019 at 2:57 pm #26793Orchids – my favorite flowers. I like your combination of colours – pink, yellow and green. Congrats to an artist.
March 13, 2019 at 3:21 pm #26796Michele, very nice layout!
March 13, 2019 at 4:30 pm #26800This is a layout I started some time ago and never finished… I had the photos and some ideas on how I wanted to be, but as I was working with it, I changed everything… not unusual 🙂
Papers are freebies from RkSk (Robin Acker) “Wild Side” – Pixel Scrapper Blog Train Feb 2019.
I used Cassel’s free Polaroid Script for the photos and create the two elements following the tutorial from the Basic Scrap Course-Day 5.
For the title, I created in white and then Effects>Texture Effects>Sculpture>Wood Texture
Fonts: Areno Serif and Amienne.
March 13, 2019 at 9:18 pm #26812hello Cristina… it looks like you both enjoyed your day….. the sculpture wood texture on your title looks great and the Polaroid script on the photos presents them so nicely…. you have created a lovely happy page.
best wishes,
Dawn.
