It is a new month and new projects.
Show off what you are working on in March, be it a scrapbook page, a tutorial, or anything else you want.
We are curious and want to see, learn and get inspired.
These threads are quickly becoming a fantastic source of inspiration, support, and friendship. Keep them coming!
March 3, 2019 at 1:44 am #26437Hello everyone…..back in November 2017 Cassel had a card challenge. I registered but didn’t participate because of circumstances at the time. So I thought I would revisit them and see what I can do with them. here is my result with the card 1 template. I have used Cassel’s edge font on the doiley and the sweat pea is a digital stamp purchased from Beccys Place here in Australia.
Best wishes,
Dawn
March 3, 2019 at 6:27 am #26439As always, I love your project, Dawn. I’m trying to pick out one element that I like best, but I love it all!
I must have missed that challenge. I hope Cassell offers it again as I’m always looking for inspiration to make cards.

March 3, 2019 at 11:36 am #26443Very pretty, Dawn! Nice work!
Michele – I agree with you. Would like to see that challenge!
March 3, 2019 at 11:47 am #26445I think the card challenge was done in 2017, as last year (in 2018), I focussed on making a calendar (Up-to-Date Challenge). But I might definitely bring it back this year 🙂
March 3, 2019 at 12:40 pm #26447I am delving deeper into my Heritage Scrapbook, began during the Love Scrapbook class in February. I have already posted most of my work on those pages, so won’t repeat them here, but will continue my project this month. I look forward to seeing what everyone else is working on, not just for the pure pleasure of enjoying your work, but for inspiration as well. There are lots of creative people on here and it is fun to see how each person interprets a project or challenge.

March 4, 2019 at 5:55 am #26486I was an attendee of Cassel’s String Theory Master Class presentation today and it was very informative, interesting and fun. I had a bit of a practice session afterward and this is the result of my play. Thanks for takin a peek.
March 4, 2019 at 9:30 am #26488That’s awesome, Annie. I missed the class, but I will either watch the in the next day or two, or I will catch it when the edited version is posted in the campus.

March 6, 2019 at 8:41 am #26518The theme for my gaming group today was French Film Festival. The blank film strip was free from kisspng. The original one had white in the frames so I used the magic wand to select and delete them. Using various pick tool modes and the mesh warp tool, I manipulated the individual movie posters into each of the frames, under the film strip. I erased any overlap. Hope you like it.

March 7, 2019 at 4:55 am #26531hello everyone…. this is what I did with Card 2 template from the 2017 12 Days of Christmas challenge. The nice thing about templates is they can be used for any occasion and tweaked however you like…. I have chosen to keep it simple…. on 5 of the placeholder circles on the template I have used portions of a dot embossed overlay…. created the vector circle and added scallop effect with Cassel’s Edge Font and also used Cassel’s Edge Magic script on it…. leafy background circle was created with a brush and mura meister copies plugin and then I added eye candy chrome plugin with gold setting to it… I have again used my hand painted wren bird that I did a few years ago when I was learning to paint birds in oils.
best wishes to everyone,
Dawn.
March 7, 2019 at 6:45 am #26533I love what you did with this Dawn, very creative and very pretty. <3
March 7, 2019 at 11:38 am #26534Dawn – Love your result! And your hand painted wren is beautiful. You’ve done well to showcase it.
March 7, 2019 at 2:13 pm #26537Hi Dawn, glad to see you are back!. 🙂 Your cards are lovely and have so many details and techniques. Your handpainted birds are amazing.
Michele, very nice layout… I am sure it was a lot of work to fit all the posters into the film strip.
Annie, I missed this webinar and it must have been great… your layout is beautiful.
Great work, ladies!
March 7, 2019 at 3:58 pm #26540Thank you so much everybody. I was actually pretty proud of this one. I’ve used straight film strips before, but the curved ones always gave me trouble. I finally figured it out!
Dawn, your card is lovely. What a great idea to use the overlay on the circles. And your knowledge of all the plugins is great. I need your memory. LOL

March 7, 2019 at 4:20 pm #26543I bought Cassell’s Curved Photo script during the Corel sale. I found two pics that I thought were cute and fit my gaming group’s daily theme, so I decided to try it out. I LOVE this script! Great work, Carole.

March 7, 2019 at 6:27 pm #26552Dear Cristina, thank you very much for your lovely comment, always appreciated my friend. <3
March 7, 2019 at 6:32 pm #26553Oh, I do love what you did with this Michele and I especially love the pictures you chose. I just love that type of art, appeals to the part of me that will never grow old! <3
March 7, 2019 at 7:38 pm #26556hello Annie , shutterpixi, Cristina and Michele …… Thank you all for your kind comments on my Card.. thought I should add that even though the painting part is all my effort I can’t draw so I did use a line drawing for the bird design that was provided in a book that I have called Painting Songbirds by Sherry C.Nelson…
Cristina …. I have not been participating the past few months because of health issues and I lost all interest in my card making both traditional and computer work… however over the last couple weeks I am slowly regaining that interest which has put some joy back into my heart.
Michele …. your page looks terrific …put a smile on my face this morning when I saw it … I don’t have much knowledge when it comes to plugins I usually just sit and have a play…. save an effect that I like and sometimes don’t remember what I did to get it…. will have to start writing it down.
best wishes to you all,
Dawn
March 7, 2019 at 11:28 pm #26562I have just watched the webinar and will have to start playing with the techniques. This card is one I did for my sister in 2016. I bought a card-making magazine which had a few examples of doing these kind of cards and I decided to try and copy it. As it turns out I did a lot of the same things Cassel showed us, although I used the brush rather than a tube – I think the tube is much better. It is a bit of a challenge having a sister who makes her own cards using traditional scrapbooking – I keep trying to match the things she does using PSP – so far I haven’t done too badly, shows what a great program it is.
March 8, 2019 at 3:47 pm #26568Dear Dawn, sometimes we need a time out… what is important is that you are here and feeling better. 🙂 <3
