I Love This EVENT…. I love Everyones Art
your projects are all so good.
September 11, 2021 at 6:41 am #63997I made this paper using the Plaid Paper 1 tutorial. I plan to use it for a greeting card I am making for a children’s charity.
September 11, 2021 at 6:47 am #63998WOW !! great work
September 11, 2021 at 7:14 am #64000September 11, 2021 at 7:56 am #64010Dee: Very nice! I love plaids, especially if I can match the colors from a photo that I’m showcasing. Good work!
September 11, 2021 at 8:10 am #64015I know the Bootcamp is coming up next week and the very first project has always been one of my favorites. It’s called New Kid on the Block and I’ve done several take-offs on that theme since I sit in on the Bootcamp every time it’s offered since spring of 2020 when I joined. Here are two of my best versions of Bootcamp Project #1. These feature the new Great Dane my daughter rescued last year and finally attracting a Red-Headed Woodpecker to my bird feeder. The trees are mostly Picture Tube images.
September 11, 2021 at 8:22 am #64016I know I have send in my 10 projects for the draw, but I thought well the party isn’t over yet! So I want to show a project that I did in April this year when Carole had her big birthday sale and I bought a lot of goodies. For fun I tried to use almost all those things in this layout. It includes: Lace Edge font, Decorative Stitches, Ribbon Factory, Quick Scallops, Word Slats, Bow and Eyelet! I made a background with the use of the Kaleidoskop, added a title and a quote using different fonts.
Carole I had a wonderful time revisiting all the projects I did and seeing all the great entries from a lot of the people I have come to know here in the Campus! Thank you so much and I hope we can make more memories and meet new people in the years to come!!!
PS: the only negative is I had no time to do some scrapping, LOL
September 11, 2021 at 8:57 am #64018I’m rather certain I have submitted my quota to qualify for the draw. As Corrie commented, the party isn’t over yet. From the creative scrap: lace, clock face, clock hand. Everyone has submitted some splendid examples of what they have learnt in the campus over the years. Bravo!
September 11, 2021 at 8:58 am #64020Creative scrap: Circle text
September 11, 2021 at 9:03 am #64023Another jolly festive season will soon be upon us. Although the leaves are starting to turn, and beginning to look awfully pretty, it is still rather hot here. 27c yesterday. Masterclass: Paintshop Christmas 3 (print out gift tags for Xmas) Here is an example of two which I made, and printed
September 11, 2021 at 9:23 am #64025Carole has asked us to post the first scrapbooking layout we did. So here is my first.
September 11, 2021 at 9:34 am #64027I said I would also post one of my first pages. That is embarrassing! This page was done around 2006!
This is not the very first page. I am still looking for it. It must be hidden somewhere!
September 11, 2021 at 9:37 am #64029For Day 11 I used Cassel’s ID Card from Careers and had a lot of fun with it.
September 11, 2021 at 9:43 am #64031This is a flower I did from the Creative Scrap Tutorial called Paper Flower.
September 11, 2021 at 9:48 am #64035Here’s the finished card I made for the Cards For Hospitalized Kids Charity using the plaid paper I posted earlier today. The image is from Di’s Digi Stamps and the square lace frame is by Jackie Edwards at Craftsuprint.com I hope it will brighten the day for the little kids in the hospital.

September 11, 2021 at 9:49 am #64036When I first joined the campus, I subscribed to the creative scrap. Not being a scrapbooker, I was terribly overwhelmed by the content, and the copious tutorials on different techniques. I believe that I may have mentioned previously that I love the flair button technique. The flair button was the very first element I created. From there I worked my way through the tips and tricks and the creative scrap. Initially, I used PSP for photo editing, along with basic techniques like extractions, simple framing etc. To use in cards and calendars. The Humming bird page is my first scrapbook page.
September 11, 2021 at 9:57 am #64038Everyone is showing me so many ideas!!! I went and started my first String Theory project. And it is all so creative and beautiful.
Carole, your 2006 project is still awesome!
September 11, 2021 at 9:57 am #64040The fun thing of this thread is you see “regulars” of the forum ,but now also new(er) members. 🙂
I’ve seen wonderful projects I also participated in ,but also nice referrers to classes I would like to do in the future 🙂
I think this is the first project I made at the campus:
September 11, 2021 at 10:02 am #64041Carole, I don’t think it is that “bad” at all! 🙂
September 11, 2021 at 10:20 am #64042Oh wow,Sue,your hummingbird lay out is awesome! 🙂
September 11, 2021 at 10:33 am #64044Thank you Monique. Of course, back then I used the word collage to describe my pages. Scrapbooking, wasn’t in my vocabulary. Even if I say so myself, my photography has also improved. 🙂 Here is one of this year’s humming birds. (Juvenile Ruby throated humming bird). Of course, due to resizing so much detail is lost.
September 11, 2021 at 10:38 am #64047here’s pages I made using Advanced Extraction Techniques
I love extract my granddaughter and transform her LOL with one photo > several pages (all not on this recapitulation)
September 11, 2021 at 10:58 am #64050Carole, it’s fun to see the first pages we have doing a long time ago LOL I’ll show where are mine hihi I don’t remember where, but I search !!
here’s pages with the 2 tutos on Shadows, something & lifted . Roses and fsherman are personal photos
on the page of roses : I use gradient made with 2 colors of my photo with overlay on my background, photo with frame with fiter forge for the painting effect, and I extract rose for the bottom of the page
on fisherman page : I use the big photo on background with overlay, border of the page are brushes used only different overlaySeptember 11, 2021 at 11:20 am #64053last year i was re-learning PSP after a decade long absence and was playing around with making a curtain. Not a great curtain but I had fun experimenting.
September 11, 2021 at 11:28 am #64055After watching some of the 10th Anniversary tutorials today I had some fun making these. A Letter Tile / Tied String / Circle Text Paper / Plaid / Photo Cutout – I used the plaid here / Ribbon Circles. I made both the polka dot ribbon and disc tag – the string is made from a Corel stitch tube and the fish a Corel texture.
September 11, 2021 at 11:35 am #64056Diane, I’m curious, which class did you use to learn how to create a curtain? That tutorial has appeared to elude me. Your curtain is very realistic.
September 11, 2021 at 12:19 pm #64060I am so impressed with what I’ve seen posted in the project submissions. I too wish I could comment or at least “thumbs up” the work that’s on here. So much creativity, so much enthusiasm. It’s just so inspiring!
As I mentioned before, I generally use PSP for improving old pix or for cards for family & friends. Here’s a sample of an old photo I tried to improve some time ago. Photo is from about 1900-ish. The changes at least make it printable.
September 11, 2021 at 1:07 pm #64063I have lost so many files there is no way I can locate my very first scrap page but this is an early one from 2007. I do not remember when PSP X10 came out but that was the first version I bought from Corel. Before that I used version 6 of the Jasc program, and earilier a program called Picture Publisher that came I think with a scanner I purchased. Carole did not specify 1st page from this site so hope this is OK. I started with Scrapbooking on My Family website many years ago. I think the name was Simply Scrapbooking created by Lorie Starcher. I actually won first place in a contest on the site for this one which is kind of funny now looking at how the shadows lift my photos off the page.
September 11, 2021 at 2:23 pm #64070My very first Scrapbook page was from the Love Story Challenge, right after I joined the Campus in February 2021. I have learned so much more about PaintShop Pro in the meantime and am very happy that I joined.
September 11, 2021 at 2:48 pm #64073Not sure if I posted this one or not. It was the first page I made in May 2021. I was amazed I made this. I am still at the beginning of the beginner stage with PSP. Not having as much time as I’d like to put into PSP in the last few months isn’t ideal for the practice I’d like to do. I’m in another online course (color related) that runs much like the bootcamp; lessons/homework every 2-3 days. Except this is 12 modules that are one month each (I am on #4). I am working on freeing up time to dedicate to PSP as it is also important to me. The only unimportant thing is my job…how do I get rid of that…and still get paid? hahaha.
Thank you to everybody who posted their Love Challenge pages. I had thought I needed to do a love theme (sometimes my brain is like a dull knife) but I see it’s more about the techniques that I really want to learn than about the name of the challenge. Sandra, I love your paper flower and Sue T, of course not just your mind-blowing photography, I love your style and before I saw your flares I didn’t really see the value in them. I do now. My big take away from the Big 10 is; do not presume I wont ever have a use for learning something I don’t think I’ll use, because the chance to learn many techniques and become more familiar with PSP is a big reward.
