Linda, that is a good opportunity to go back to those photos that are still bringing fun memories.
Ann, that is another creative way to modify a quick-page! With all the tweaks that participants have done to their quick-pages, I think I can gather them into a blog post. I know we will have hummingbirds too, but there are still a few months for us, here.
Pirkko, we are traveling with you and discovering new places.
Paul, where do you find nice mandalas to color?
Trish, sometimes, servers are busy and links are temporarily unavailable. Nothing I can do in those cases, and at least, it was temporary.
Susan, that is funny to associate that photo with yawning!
Corrie, that storm made the news here, tonight! Really bad. Hopefully, you are ok. that snowstorm font is quite interesting!
Anne, maybe one day you will be able to make one page with photos of that tree and print it for your neighbour!
Sharon, did you get the link for Day 5? if not, just use the link for Day 4 and change the digit in the URL.
Lynda, no rush. Those quick-pages are meant to be fast (other than choosing the photo) so it is a good example of what you can do when you have a deadline to finish pages or a full album.
Julie, cats and dogs are not always enemies, right?
Mary, two different coloring for two different photos. Very good matches.
Bonnie, more pickleball pictures and more interesting stories.
Anita, that is such a cute font. Thanks for identifying it for us.
Out of 75 registrants to this workshop, we have seen 22 who have posted. I encourage all the lurkers to also post. If you are having any issues or problems, let us know as we want to help. If you are not a scrapbooker, how about just going with the flow and giving those a try. Com’on!
February 19, 2022 at 3:02 am #71730QP 5 – Spring flowers and colours are beautiful but my favourite time of year is the autumn.

My result for QP5
February 19, 2022 at 6:48 am #71735Most of the time I end up with pictures of our animals or my garden, trips to gardens and museums 🙂
This time two of our pets, not alive anymore, but loved dearly 🙂
February 19, 2022 at 8:47 am #71739QP 6 – I have generations of magpies visit me each day and I love that they bring their young each year to visit and feed. These photos were taken from a phone video. A couple of the older birds feed from my hand then feed their young. The young often come visiting now without their parents supervision.

I couldn’t decide on a text on the QP with the stripes on it, deleted the text. Nothing seems to fit somehow. 🙂
February 19, 2022 at 9:03 am #71743Corrie, no damage on your end? 🙂
Here some trees in the little park/forest behind are house are down, but nothing at our house luckily 🙂
February 19, 2022 at 9:15 am #71747Killing 2 birds with one stone: Here’s Queen with You’re My Best Friend using the QP5-extra as the basis for the layout.

Jean Naumann – oh, so wonderful – your colors fit so well together. Great whole 🙂
February 19, 2022 at 11:10 am #71756QP6- Writtle, Hylands & Dame Nellie Melba.
She made the first ever live Radio performance from a packing shed In Writtle Chelmsford on June 15th 1920.
Chelmford is the home of Radio. The shed is still here but Marconi final shut its doors a few years ago.- This reply was modified 2 years, 10 months ago by trish williams. Reason: wrong image
February 19, 2022 at 11:14 am #71758Carole, Monique that storm was really raging ouside, but other then a lot of old leaves on our patio and windows that you cann’t look through anymore no damage was done. We are just back from a short walk around the neighbourhood and there are a lot of broken branches from the trees on the ground but nothing major in the vicinity. Trains are still not running or only on some sections. Four people died through falling trees; so we were lucky!
February 19, 2022 at 11:30 am #71761I know I’m slow, but am enjoying it. Learned about resizing the photos instead of scaling them back with the pick tool. Interesting. Playing with the size of the stroke. Also interesting. This is a page of one stop on the trip I took with my brother in 2014. We were doing Route 66 (on his bucket list to get to the glass bridge in Arizona). Elk City, Oklahoma I had visited with my son and daughter-in-law in 2008 and was so impressed with this small town.

February 19, 2022 at 3:12 pm #71786QP 6 They may not be loveable but they are small. The tittle font is Chiller, ant the other one is Comic Sans MS.
February 19, 2022 at 3:31 pm #71794QP 3 and Extra
February 19, 2022 at 3:57 pm #71796QP-Day 6: Here are some of my Rainbow Bridge Angels. Leo, Smokey, and Mooch. I used the Samantha Upright Font with Glyphs for the first letter of their name and also used one of their extra swashes on the bottom right (I love that font). Then I added a heart below the text.

February 19, 2022 at 4:13 pm #71802Todays pages. Two of my fur babies, now passed. And one artsy one with the gemini in me showing with opposites. The “angels” are actually Descending not Ascending and the word Ascending is Descending. What can I say, it’s that kind of day.
I really love the pet pages everyone posts. Who am I kidding, I love photography and enjoy looking at all subjects.
February 19, 2022 at 4:14 pm #71806This is my take on the Extra QP 4. My cousin and I took this tour in 2011 – the Chicago architecture is fascinating and I took many pictures. These show some of the variety.
February 19, 2022 at 4:56 pm #71812QP-Extra6. Instead of 4 photos I used one in all the frames, otherwise the photos would be to small for my liking. The photo is taken on a exhibition in the Bellevue Art Museum which I visited when I was in the States. I’m looking back to those photos at the moment, because I have dared to book a ticket for the end of April to visit my daughter, son in law and the grandkids. Fingers crossed that all goes to plan. The fancy font is Star Bright.

February 19, 2022 at 5:17 pm #71817Mary,
I am so glad you took the Architecture Tour on the Chicago River in Chicago. You are correct, Chicago has some of the most beautiful and interesting architecture around. Lovely photos
Lynda
February 19, 2022 at 5:22 pm #71818Monique,
Looks like we had similar ideas for QP4. I used photos of our Lucy for the extra. Happily, she is still with us but she is 13 years old. Other than her arthritic paws, she seems to be doing OK but 13 is pretty old for a Dobi.
Love your babies…both were beautiful and I’m sure gave you much love and pleasure.
Lynda
February 19, 2022 at 6:57 pm #71821QP-Day 6Extra: Had fun looking for pictures for this one. Used the Star Bright font.
February 19, 2022 at 9:55 pm #71832I continue to be amazed by the creativity of this group. Beautiful work, Everyone! How do we get such different results with the same starting point?
Day 6
Photos from my trail camera. I didn’t think I could add text that would enhance this page but Corrie and Anita proved me wrong. Lesson learned. Never assume…try many options first.
February 19, 2022 at 9:56 pm #71834Day 6, part 2
February 20, 2022 at 2:16 am #71849Euka,(#71730) I am looking forward to spring, but now, with your photos, it feels like it is coming sooner. (#71739) Your magpies layout reminds me of a YouTube video I watched of a guy who trained magpies to gather bottlecaps. Watch it HERE.
Pirkko, (#71732) that sounds lovely. Let’s have tea!
Monique, (#71735) those are lovely photos to keep as a memory of those loved fur babies. For the text, you can always add a mat if you want to write some text.
Ann, (#71747) you managed to add the text in a very cohesive way. It is perfect for that layout.
Trish, (#71756) that is a beautiful font you used. What is it?
Mary, (#71761) glad you picked up another trick with PSP.
Lynda, (#717630 I am curious: that page does not look like the QP included in the lesson. Did you find another one? (#71794) You must have worked hard to add that extra photo on the Extra3!
Anne, (#71786) those critters are ok on a layout. I would not be as thrilled if they were in my house. Outside is ok.
Anita, (#71796) is the hat actually on the cat, or was it added on the photo only? (#71821) On your Starry Night layout, did you notice the kerning on the text? You can see, on the double R how they don’t connect. If you increase the kerning a bit, you can make that stroke look continuous.
Susan, (#71802) I have to say that the word Ascending is really not obvious if you had not written it in the text. Have you considered only using it like a crossword and having the letters lined up vertically? it would be easier to read.
Mary, (#71806) I see you used another trick to add another photo to your Extra QP4!
Corrie, (#71812) those photos really stand out well on the dark page.
Bonnie, (#71832) did you clone out the little cluster on that black page?
February 20, 2022 at 5:43 am #71852Very interesting video Carole, thanks for the link. It is amazing what birds can be taught. The magpies, crows, jays and ravens (all part of the corvidae family) are considered among the most intelligent birds in the world.
I cheated a little and only used 2 photos for this QP. The title font is Maratre and the are boxes were made with vizros filter.
February 20, 2022 at 7:00 am #71854I find most mandala at Hiclipart and recently stumbled across a site called ‘donteatthepaste’.
February 20, 2022 at 7:06 am #71856QP Day 6
The eyes I made while on a PSP course. The joke is bad but I didn’t want to go mushy with ‘ I only have eyes for you’.
