Day 3 finally complete. Takes more time trying to figure out which pictures I want to use than it does to complete the pages. But it has been fun.
February 17, 2022 at 12:06 am #71551Paul, beautiful flowers! I long for spring!
Anne, without being an eclipse, I guess you were at the right place at the right time because that moon shot is spectacular.
Ann, we can travel with you! That sunset is fantastic!
Trish, interesting to see how you covered the cluster completely on the bottom left!
Julie, maybe the white border was due to a photo being slightly too small? Some quick-pages do include a white border, while others not.
Corrie, quick pages are made to not take too long (usually, it takes longer to pick the photo than to do the page).
Jean, a fisherman’s story… with the proof! Glad to hear that you enjoy those challenges/workshops! More to come!
Anita, I have a soft spot for most pets, especially cats!
Bonnie, have you considered adjusting the levels a little on your photo? They probably appear darker than they are on a light page.
Sharon, isn’t is fun to be able to “catch up” fast with these pages?
Linda, they really are QUICK pages, right?
February 17, 2022 at 1:36 am #71554Back at the pond, romance was in the air. I call this “Duck Math”. White + Brown = Beige. This white male domestic duck returned to the pond every year as soon as the ladies came to town. The result was very pretty dilute beige ducks. He spent his days at the pond and flew off at the end of the day, I presume to the farm he lives at. These pages are quick for sure. The eraser tool trick is really cool. I did find some of the elements annoyingly in the way and the size of the frames often don’t quite fit some parts of the photo that wish I could have included (I tried sizing all kinds of ways).
February 17, 2022 at 4:18 am #71556Day 3 – I had reptiles but the flowers looked better!
February 17, 2022 at 8:22 am #71563I’m a bit behind with the pages, the reason was a happy one, our first grandchild was born last tuesday 🙂
I wanted to see how the same picture would look like on differnet QP’s. This is the result. 🙂
February 17, 2022 at 9:20 am #71565I am a bit late on getting started on the workshop but have had some time today to catch up.
Here is my first Quick Page. A photo taken a number of years ago in Fowey , Cornwall, UK. Should I call this a ‘Boat-Shed’ or a ‘Shed-Boat’ ?

February 17, 2022 at 10:07 am #71568This is my QP-2 page. I adjusted the photo using a Curves adjustment to brighten up the bottom of the boats hull to show the planks.
February 17, 2022 at 10:18 am #71571And page 3. Nice they can be made so quick! 🙂
February 17, 2022 at 10:20 am #71572Even quickpages with the same starting point all look so different. 🙂 Well done everyone 🙂
February 17, 2022 at 10:23 am #71573Congratulations, MoniqueN!

here are my results for February Quick-Page3
February 17, 2022 at 10:40 am #71578I re-did my QP3-Extra. I changed the color of the top paper, added the birds, added to the signage, changed the title on the ticket and added a beach chair. Everyone’s outstanding work is inspiring me!
February 17, 2022 at 1:46 pm #71589James, if you were serving your guests would you be a “water-waiter”. I like “Shed-boat
Pirkko, I love the swimming pig.
I agree, all the pages are wildly different and so interesting. I like seeing the additions people make, good ideas.
February 17, 2022 at 1:52 pm #71592Oops forgot this
Tensions at the pond. With well over 800 geese, not including the coots, grebes, ducks other waterfowl, space is at a premium. Once the landings are complete, family units jockey for their spots on the pond. This particular year there was a cheeky little grebe who would swim under water and poke the geese. It was like watching a comedy. Back later with my second QP for Day 4. On a funny note with the eraser tool. I thought it wasnt erasing, then I realized I was trying to erase the shadow from the frame on the page. thank you Carole, for the tip about right clicking the eraser to put back what I erased by mistake.
February 17, 2022 at 2:11 pm #71594February 17, 2022 at 2:51 pm #71596Monique, congratulations and emjoy being a grandma!
February 17, 2022 at 3:00 pm #71598Just started working on QP4, but in the meantime, here’s the design I came up with for this QP last year. My granddaughter, Jackie’s, wedding on the shores of Lake Wallenpaupack. I like this one so much I hope I can come up with something else half as good!
February 17, 2022 at 4:34 pm #71602February 17, 2022 at 4:52 pm #71604My extra QP. I let the one photo extend up to the frame above because…the Lemurs demanded it. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it (the Lemurs demanded that too!). Big thing for me to remember; be on the right layer before erasing.

February 17, 2022 at 5:04 pm #71608QP4-THE MENDOCINO HEADLANDS – Where my California family lives. My grandson, Will, took the panoramic photo of the bay. The rest of the photos I found with Google. The headline font is Berlin Kitchen.
February 17, 2022 at 5:18 pm #71610QP.4-Extra is about the hightea(s) we had when I turned 70 with the invitationcard I made and 3 photos instead of 4. The bottom photo is in 2 frames. Today I played with the Cookie script 2 that I won last weekend and I decided to put some of the cookies on this page.
February 17, 2022 at 6:03 pm #71617Lemurs! I adore them. Love the pix!
February 17, 2022 at 6:05 pm #71619Day 4 QP. All images from unsplash. Had to fiddle & tweak a bit to get the 3 smaller pix aligned and within frames.
February 17, 2022 at 6:53 pm #71621It was interesting this time with “erasing” parts of the pics that were intruding in the other areas. However, one thing I noticed was how a picture can show through 3 masks. Hm! Anyway, I am probably going to redo my 1 and 2 pages since I am not as happy as I am with this one which I think went well with the feeling the QP gave me – it has a small paper with city buildings on it. Anyway here is the result. I have slowed down because of things happening here at home.
February 17, 2022 at 7:21 pm #71623Here is my day 4 pic. Memories from back when we were able to go on a cruise.
February 17, 2022 at 7:37 pm #71625Quick Page Workshop 4. For this project I used pictures from my hometown Würzburg: Large picture shows he Fortress on the hill (Marienberg). The smaller pictures, show another view of the fortress, City Hall and the Chapel on the hill across from the fortress. Of course, one of the fur-kids insisted to be be part of it and is enjoying the view from the old river bridge. Font (ghosthey) is from Creative Fabrica.
February 17, 2022 at 8:13 pm #71628DAY four complete! I am not very quick when I do these. I have a tendency to over think things. 🙂 But I am enjoying the results.
February 17, 2022 at 8:15 pm #71629Congratulations, Monique! Wonderful news!
I played around with levels, Carole. It really improved one photo but the other, not so much. I will continue to play with levels and hopefully, learn to use it effectively. Thank you.
