The latest update of Windows 10 caused my PaintShop Pro program (and CorelDraw) to no longer open/work. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a patch or fix available?

Hi Priscilla. When you say it does not open, are you getting an error? A message? or nothing at all?

Does it happen with the 32-bit version or the 64-bit one or both? With PSP version? 2021 or a previous version? or all?

What is the W10 update that was just installed? I checked and mine shows 20H2. My PSP2021 opens fine (but I didn’t restart my system).

Anyone else can chime in to say if they have an issue or not with a W10 update?

I had an update.  I get  notifications asking me  to  update. I make sure I close all programs, especially PSP before I click OK. I am given choices, choose a  time or  just click OK.  As it has to shut down and restart.   All is working well, even psp 2021 ultimate.

Hi Priscilla. I had a similar problem with a copy of Corel Painter and PSP a number of years ago although this was with windows XP. The problem turned out to be outdated dirvers for my old Wacom tablet, are you using a Wacom or other make of tablet and can you check that the drivers are up to date ?

Other suggestions would be to uninstall the update and see if the programmes work again.

            Do a full virus scan.

Do a disc cleanup and de-frag.

Hope this is of some help

            James
