May 31, 2019 at 6:24 am #29504This is another I have created for the scavenger hunt challenge. The photos were sourced from Unsplash and from top to bottom credits go to Andrew Brandy, Eric Schirtzinger and, Jamison Mcandie. The alpha I used is called Bright Days Scribble and is by Violet Irisovna from Pixel Scrappers. The flower is a tube I have had for ages. Thanks for takin a peek.
May 31, 2019 at 7:44 am #29505Mireille, Annie, and Dawn thank you so very much for your kind comments on my layout 🙂 … Very much appreciated! <3
Annie another great layout… beautiful photos and I love the choice of colors.
I mentioned before that I love to participate in the challenges because it is a way for me to practice what I learn with Carole, but a great part of the fun comes from everyone that post their work here… I learn and am inspired by all of you!
May 31, 2019 at 11:03 am #29507Annie, the arrangement of the circles makes one think of a constellation. In your page everything is harmonious.
May 31, 2019 at 1:26 pm #29509Hello everyone,
I’m really impressed by all your creative works and the way you realize string and torn effects.
Here some informations concerning my project, of course it took me more than 10 minutes :-)!
Background color gradient sunburst, squirrel-photos taken by me on my balcony, jay found on the net, I got own photos but there are not really sharp. Ellipse tool for the circles, the yellow ones colored gradient-current gradient, the 2 with flowers pattern-nature-flower, 2 green circles with balls +bubbles (effects-artistic effects, gradient-earth2), stitching with cass-stitches 2 filled with pattern-nature-flower, the string is cassel’s script “variegated strings” colored with gradient selection too, for the text “visitors..” I used the fonts preset spring, changed the font color with gradient earth 2, the torn effect on the photo I used the eraser tool (hope it’s OK). I tried for the first time one of the cass-tornedge-samplers but was not happy at all with my result, I need really to exercise).May 31, 2019 at 7:37 pm #29515hello libera… you have created a very nice page and i love your colour theme .
best wishes,
Dawn.
May 31, 2019 at 7:42 pm #29516hello Annie, another great page for this challenge ! … also love your colour combination.
best wishes,
Dawn.
May 31, 2019 at 11:32 pm #29527Thanks, Dear Cristina. I did a Google search for desert color palettes and it came up with the most amazing and beautiful colors. Very glad that you liked them, my friend. <3
May 31, 2019 at 11:41 pm #29528Thanks, Mireille, your comments are very much appreciated. <3
June 1, 2019 at 2:09 am #29531Thanks, Dawn, always appreciated my friend. <3
June 1, 2019 at 6:14 am #29538Thanks a lot Dawn, its always great fun to play with colours and as all of you can see it I love especially gradients. It is most fascinating what you get when you try the possibilities turning the wheel, changing angle, center and focal point and so on. Do some one know how you can apply gradients to shape tools? May be convert in ….
This is a funny and simple link, you can click on the color and you get more results.
https://www.materialpalette.com/colorsNice week-end to all of you!
June 1, 2019 at 6:52 am #29541Thank you Libera. It’s always interesting to have links that make the layout easier for us.
June 1, 2019 at 7:24 am #29544Thanks for the link, Libera. Lovely choices for color palettes. <3
June 1, 2019 at 7:26 am #29545Wow, a lovely colorful result Libera … color my world, it is great. <3
June 1, 2019 at 7:30 am #29547The last one for this challenge … after all … it is now June! The photos I took myself in our backyard with a small digital camera. We were having an infestation of harlequin beetles at that time in 2006. I think they are such beautiful colored beetles. Thanks for takin a peek.
June 1, 2019 at 8:04 am #29549Great Annie, great photos too (even with a little camera you can realize fabulous pics) and I admire your strings, is it a special script?
June 1, 2019 at 8:17 am #29552Really nice job, Cristina. You had a very clever approach toward the circles.
~ Michele
June 1, 2019 at 1:26 pm #29563libera, your layout is very nice and colorful. Nice work! … And thanks for the link!
Dear Annie, you took some very nice photos. I never saw these colored beetles before; nature is always amazing us…It looks like you used the Vector Tube Script with the Twisted String for the title…Whatever technique, it came out great. Nice job, my friend! <3
Michele, thank you! <3… I have to say that I tried other options before, but didn’t like any of them! lol … Sometimes I have different ideas but when I transfer them to the paper (screen), it doesn’t come out as nice as I thought it would. 😀
June 1, 2019 at 6:57 pm #29577Thanks, dear Libera for your lovely comment. The string is a picture tub made from one of Cassel’s tutorials and I actually used the mouse to create the title with it. Because it was a neutral shade I used the manual color correction to color it to suit the project. It did turn out rather well, but … I have been practicing and practicing, LOL!
June 1, 2019 at 7:09 pm #29578Thanks so much, dear Cristina. You know, I never even thought about using the Vector Tube Script. Sometimes I have so much going on in my head that it becomes hard to unjumble, LOL! I actually made the title using a string picture tub which I had created following a tutorial by Cassel, then I used the mouse to hand draw, and then because it was a neutral color, I used the manual color correction to color it to suit the project. I was pleased with the result but (as I said to Libera) … I have been practicing and practicing, LOL! <3
June 2, 2019 at 6:00 am #29604Annie, you had a lot of work to hand draw the title! 🙂 … Years ago I learned here in the Campus through Carole (PSP Stuff section), that there is also a script (Auto tuber script) to speed up the process of creating a twisted string or similar tubes… But the Vector Tube Script is a big help for this kind of project like yours.
June 2, 2019 at 6:54 am #29605Thanks a lot Annie for the precisions about the string. Practicing is really the right word. I try to go on every day a little bit more after work and it is even relaxing.
The sreenshot of Mireille made me curious and look over again my little problem with the shape tool. By this way I discovered the mistake I did with the tool and my so loved gradients :-).
Thanks a lot Cristina for your kind comment and the informations used for your work. It is a real pretty way to welcome spring and put “Ludwigshöhe” in scene with those letters.
All the works here show how creative you are. Your different and successful ways to approach circles, strings, stitching and letters are most inspiring particularly for a newbie in scrapbooking. I never imagined doing this before but I am really happy to have discovered this forum, it is most encouraging to go on learning.
And this makes me speak/write english again, so don’t hesitate to tell me if I do a mistake. Additionally to this I would like to say other ideas, suggestions and tips for my works are always welcome. I say this because when I placed my first work and sandwich under “Feedback request” I was surprised to have no reaction. As Cassel always says “don’t be shy”, lol again!
Nice sunday for all of you. Here where I live in Germany is another hot day today, not spring, already summer feeling, 24° at half of the day!
June 2, 2019 at 8:22 am #29610“Nice sunday for all of you. Here where I live in Germany is another hot day today, not spring, already summer feeling, 24° at half of the day!
Même temps qu’à Marseille, France ; tout aussi chaud.
June 2, 2019 at 10:25 am #29617Oh je parie qu’à Marseille il fait encore plus chaud. Je pensais que tu vivais au Canada. Te voilà toute proche ou presque!
June 2, 2019 at 5:01 pm #29621Oh, dear Cristina, I do have that script and I will make sure to use it next time … it will save the ache in the carpal tunnel affected wrist, LOL! In truth, I had totally forgotten about it … the old brain cells are not firing as they used to.<3
June 3, 2019 at 2:10 pm #29632libera, thank you!
Annie, I also do things the long way most of the time, at least when I am trying a new technique … It’s a way of learning the process — even if I forget it afterwards! — and also value the help of having the scripts. 😉
June 4, 2019 at 12:39 am #29644hello Annie… your title idea was a creative one …. you achieved another nice page for this May challenge.
best wishes,
Dawn.
