Here is the next Word challenge for you.
In June the word will be TIE. This can be a piece of clothing to wear around one’s neck (and maybe related to Father’s Day in June), it could be a verb when you want to attach something, or it can also be the end result of a game when nobody wins. How can you incorporate that word into your next project?
Are you up to the challenge? Post your projects in this thread (it can be older projects you did or recent ones; it does not matter).
June 4, 2022 at 12:34 pm #77535I forgot to post this last night. It was way past my bedtime, and I was rather tired. The photos are from last year. The delightful Silvery Blue Butterfly was taken yesterday. We are privileged to live on such a beautiful, diverse planet, which Mother Nature has perfected over many billions of years. Why waste it “tied to the kitchen sink” 🙂 I used a selection from the butterfly photo to create the background paper. My usual style of word art, and an embroidered edge I created, depicting the circles on the butterfly. The camera element I got from the internet.

My kitchen looks out on such a varied selection of songbirds, even here in the city. Getting out to feed them each day, pushing my Rollator, is a big activity for me! Count your blessings. 🙂
June 5, 2022 at 9:56 am #77556Thank you Ann, that is so sweet of you. I don’t and never have taken anything for granted. I’m thankful that, touch wood, I’m in good health, but not quite as agile as I once was. Nature is all around us no matter where we live, as nature has learnt to co exist with us humans. I’m so pleased you have an abundance of song birds on your doorstep that gives you such pleasure. Which you showcase so beautifully.
June 8, 2022 at 6:50 pm #77743I had to think a bit to come up with an idea for this word challenge TIE. I kept coming to a tie-dye image that came to mind. Luckely I have a photo of a flower that has something of a tye-dye effect. The papers however were a problem; to make some myself did not work out well and on line I couldn’t find much with a realistic effect. Only digitalscrapbook.com had two. Of course I wanted to incorporate the wordframe 5 script I won last sunday! Furthermore I made a word sticker, tag, flairbutton and dictionary paper.
Carole how about a tutorial or a script on tie-dye papers???
