Here is my day 3 and the color of today is pink. I did alter the slats because in this way they went better with my photos but I have kept the balance. I also put a quote on it because I plan to do that on every day to keep a kind of continuity. Probably I will do as Carole suggested an make a printed book with a number of projects I made in this last year and this will certainly in it.
April 22, 2021 at 6:46 pm #57026When I was growing up I didn’t like the desert very much. As an adult, I love it. Even in the most seemingly dead desert, there is life and beauty. When traveling out west, I love seeing the subtle color changes in the mountain depending on the time of day.

April 22, 2021 at 7:35 pm #57029Here is day 4. Still using photos from our trips to the Northern Territory with the grandchildren. These photos are from the sunset cruise on Yellow Water Billabong. I decided to use a photo as the background.
April 22, 2021 at 8:08 pm #57033Whether it is pictures of birds, flowers, swans, cats, lizards, desert, knitting, amusement park your pages are beautiful and it is a pleasure to look at them. Nice job everyone!
Thank you Carole for your nice comment. Very true for printing. Happy birthday Carole, I have one of my sons who was born on the same day

April 22, 2021 at 10:50 pm #57036Laurie,
Where were the desert photos taken..looks familiar!
April 22, 2021 at 11:12 pm #57037Lynda, some were taken at the Grand Canyon, and some were taken in Tuscan, New Mexico, Southetn California, and Palo Duro Canyon in West Texas. The Grand Canyon is one of the most amazing places in America.

April 22, 2021 at 11:13 pm #57038Annie, your Chooks layout is interesting BUT, if you ever decide to use it in an album, the title will be caught in the binding. How about placing it sideways, on the faded photo? Of course, if you never print it OR if you print it as a 24×12 poster, it becomes a non-issue. Yes, for the text, you kind of used to “opposing” approaches: choose one or the other, and you’ll be fine 🙂
Linda, do what you can. Is there anything we can help you with?
Cindy, if you cannot download the template for Day 1, the other days don’t require a download. Maybe skip Day 1?
Sue, that is making me smile to see the photos with the ears perking up. For some people, it would be a detail they would want to remove, but it gives so much character to the photos! I love it!
Barbara, thank you for the wishes, and I hope you have fun with your purchases. It is clever to have a story from that series of photos. Very cute. Those vertical slats on your Anole page are very interesting. I also get some inspiration and ideas from looking at all the projects posted! Maybe a script in the future? To answer your question about saving the scripts, the default folder to put scripts would be the Restricted scripts one. Some specific commands do require the file to be in the Trusted script folder, and maybe Corel only provides “simple” scripts that don’t require that other folder location. I don’t know if I would like to have a hog as a pet, but this person doesn’t seem to mind!
Gerry, great editing!!! It made me smile. And thank you for the wishes.
Laurie, your off-center text on the “In the winter” page will be perfect if you choose to print an album with all those masterpieces! Beautiful photos for your desert page! What did you use for that bottom border? It is very intriguing.
Sandra, beware that you MIGHT have someone cut in half if you ever print your page in an album!! If these are out of your comfort zone, you might need even more practice!? Sometimes, having a lot of photos, you can simply scatter them and layer them to showcase the best ones, while not discarding the others.
Raymond, are those photos all taken in the same year? I would suggest that you reduce the offset of the shadows on the title as it makes it a little hard to read.
Henry, everyone has a different take on these challenges. You are the only one to showcase craft, and furthermore, it is a meaningful craft (not from a craft store), so don’t be shy. We love to see what you do AND what your wife does too!
Ann, you should send them a copy of that page; they might use that as an advertisement as it looks so great!
Corrie, just a reminder, as I have mentioned to others that *IF* you ever want to print this in an album, you will have to move the title and the other elements from the middle. But if you print it as a 24 inches poster, it would be great!
Jean, so many smiles. How could anyone look at that without smiling too?
Jnet, you arranged the page perfect for if you want to print in an album (although it is just an option).
April 22, 2021 at 11:21 pm #57040Carole the bottom border was a close- up picture of a cactus that I took. I turned the picture on it’s side and just used one line of the spines.
April 23, 2021 at 12:20 am #57042Beautiful work everyone, very impressive. I love these challenges … so much to learn and inspiration flowing out from all. Thanks Carole for your comments they are very helpful. As I have said before we are never too old to learn. 😀
This is my Day 4. I have loads of photos of flamingos so decided I would showcase them with this challenge. Thanks for takin a peek my friends. 😀
April 23, 2021 at 12:40 am #57044Carole, thanks for the suggestion. Yes the eggs are from 24 March 2021 and the birds were taken 18 April 2021.
April 23, 2021 at 1:27 am #57046Tawny Frogmouth all fixed … hopefully … ;D
April 23, 2021 at 1:39 am #57048Chooks all fixed … again, hopefully, LOL!
April 23, 2021 at 7:28 am #57066Barbara, Annie, congratulations on your day 4
Thank you Carole, it was my day 3 that I moved to the 2 because model 2 did not lend itself to the photo of the day and… I also placed a photo in the center – I saw your comment of the 1st day after doing it

April 23, 2021 at 7:40 am #57075Sorry, if I repeat myself … I did not manage to insert my 2nd page
April 23, 2021 at 7:42 am #57077again
again
I just understood … I had to add the 3 before submitting, um I’m not awake this morningApril 23, 2021 at 8:03 am #57078Jnet, what a nice layout! I’ve been to LA but never found the stars in the pavement. I wish I could read the wording on your right hand page but unless it’s text my browser can’t translate it since it’s in a graphic. Is that the star for Celine Deon? I can’t quite make it out from here… 😉
April 23, 2021 at 8:28 am #57079Ann, it’s almost a holiday card you send to family and friends! Nice!

April 23, 2021 at 8:38 am #57083A collage of my parents in their early years together. I will revisit this one. It needs a frame, but I need more practice on that skill before I get to what I want.
Carole – I’m a big fan of the scattered photo script.
April 23, 2021 at 8:46 am #57084Jean, Billabong sounds Australian, reminds me of the Flying doctors tv series or Mcleods daughters 🙂 Love the layout 🙂
April 23, 2021 at 9:43 am #57086My day 5 page. It came together rather quickly. I am learning to put a photo that I don’t mind if it gets split if I put it into a book. I have to go find more gradients because I couldn’t find one that I liked so I settled for this color because I wasn’t really sure what color to make the title. Green and blue didn’t work because they just blended in. Thankfully I can always change it when I find one. Any suggestions on what color might look nice?
I love every one’s pages. Every time I see one I learn some thing new. I am glad you are all here with me.

April 23, 2021 at 9:49 am #57091Carole, I thought perhaps since there was a question concerning dates that I may add the dates to each one? I hope this helps to explain myself better.
April 23, 2021 at 4:21 pm #57105Since, as Carole pointed out, I already did a panorama for my Lesson Two, I decided to do the slats and masks that I skipped instead of the current Lesson Five. It’s a showcase for the photography of my friend Ed Frampton from Poughkeepsie.
April 23, 2021 at 6:00 pm #57106Yes MoniqueN. it is Australian. Kakadu National Park is world famous, it’s in the Northern Territory. Yellow Water Billabong is a beautiful place where you can see the true beauty of the wetlands. Each time we have taken the grandchildren there, we have taken the sunset cruise at Yellow Water, you see more wildlife action at sunrise or sunset. The kids have always loved the experience. Nice of you to say you like the layout, I enjoyed revisiting the photos while making it.
April 23, 2021 at 6:14 pm #57110My day 4. This day the color is white because that gave me the opportunity to use a lot of photos In Spring there are overhere many flowers in that color. I was waiting if there would come this chance. I took the background color of one of the photos with Texture effects – Texture + some noise (50%). As with the other days I didn’t give all the names of the individual flowers, that would be way to much text.
I like all the work that’s done, but Annie your birds are so colorfull, love it.
April 23, 2021 at 6:38 pm #57112This is my day 5. Still at Kakadu National Park, this is at Ubirr. This place was featured in the 1st Crocodile Dundee film, for those wondering about Kakadu. The heading gave me trouble, it took me ages to work out how to get the gradient onto every letter, but eventually it worked. The tick had something to do with it. It’s always operator error isn’t it!
April 23, 2021 at 7:11 pm #57114A sad anniversary is coming in a few weeks. It will be one year since Lynda passed away at 12 years. It was difficult to let her go.
She was a mother to the cats, River and Rudy. She was raised by two cats, so it came naturally.
April 23, 2021 at 8:18 pm #57116Delightful work Jnet … definitely a ‘civilised’ adventure, well done. 😀
April 23, 2021 at 8:28 pm #57117Corrie, this is a really beautiful page my friend. White flowers are really gorgeous and you have showcased some beauties here, well done my friend. 🙂
April 23, 2021 at 8:32 pm #57118Jean you have created a lovely page of your grandchildren and Kakadu. My sister lived in the territory for a couple of years but I never got to visit. Sorry now that I didn’t because she reminds me of the beauty of Kakadu often … as sisters do, lol! 😀
