In March, our monthly theme is SELF-CARE.
Based on the alphabet, can you think of different elements or activities associated with self-care? It could relate to your physical health (like doctor visits or vitamin supplements), your mental health (like a relaxing bubble bath), and more.
Let’s go!
Because I want more people to jump in the game, I will ask to NOT post two consecutive answers (unless there is a 24 hour period without an answer since it could mean we are stuck)
F = FUN
Carole often says “have fun”, so if you play with PSP you have fun, you feel happy and contribute in this way to “mental health”. Do you agree? 🙂
G – gardening It can be so relaxing from the winter months when you are planning next years garden to the planting, watering, harvesting, (fighting the critters) and clean up the rest of the year. Besides it is good exercise taking care of it.
K for Kindness. In this world where you can choose to be anything you want … the two best are kind and honest. They shine on the receiver and reflect back on you in only good ways.
O is for ORGANIZE. Something about organizing assorted things that have accumulated over a period of time (and you really planned to do it that day!) seem to relax and refresh a person. It could be in a closet, a drawer or even on your computer.
P = play…outside, board games, make up games…play. We do not stop playing because we grow old. …we grow old because we stop playing.
T – Tatting- or any craft that brings you peace.
Z Zen is slang for a feeling of peaceful and relaxed. It is actually a type of Buddhism.
