In August, our monthly theme is Hobbies.

Based on the alphabet, let’s find different hobbies people can have, or some elements of those hobbies. You can obviously think of your own hobbies or some from relatives and friends. With so many possible hobbies, we should not have too much trouble going through the alphabet at least twice, don’t you think?

    Let’s go!

Because I want more people to jump in the game, I will ask to NOT post two consecutive answers (unless there is a 24 hour period without an answer since it could mean we are stuck)

E _ Eating. This should go well with Bonnie & Corrie’s baking and cooking. Someone has to enjoy their dishes.

    U – Ukulele

Fun story: last week was our 27th wedding anniversary, and that is the “music” anniversary. My husband always wanted a ukulele, and that is what he got!

Z — Ziplining I have always wanted to try this, but my Hubby is afraid of heights and would probably have a heart attack just watching me.

Hi, Carole! It’s interesting you listed yo-yo as a hobby…I am, or was, a yo-yo player. I played yo-yo back in the 50’s when it was unusual for a girl to compete in yo-yo contests. I taught my students to yo-yo and we took two trips to Vermont for yo-yo contests. There was a young lady, about their age, in Vermont who was world champion. Her parents organized the contest.
