Those templates are a real time-saver but what if you want something slightly different in your template? How can you edit it? Of course, you can add any photo or other elements as additional layers if you want, without having to change anything to the template itself, but let's say you actually want to create a slightly different template, possibly because you want to reuse it later, or you want to share it with friends.
