Week 47 Hexham Abbey has been hosting an exhibition called ‘Threads through Creation’ by the textile artist Jacqui Parkinson. It consists of twelve very large panels that absolute pulsate with colour and life. Because of their size and the way they were lit it was hard to photograph them in their entirety. This photo is just part of a panel that illustrates the creation of life in the sky and sea. The detail and amount of work in each of them was phenomenal.

I hope so. I took quite a number of photos on the same day just of the clouds and I'll be using them to make papers.

K = Kirkyard (a Scottish term for graveyard)

Week 46 Some silver birch trees still with their autumn leaves against a slightly different sky – it was wonderful to get some blue skies as we’d had many grey days before it.

Q = Quotation (many appear on headstones)

Week 45 Fuchsias in bloom at the start of November! It has been so mild here in England that these flowers have kept on going. I usually lose them with the first frosts in October – last year it was on the 3rd. Amazing to still have the colour in the garden.

O = Officiant, the one who conducts the ceremony if there is one.

K = Keeper as in a cemetery keeper (the person who looks after the graves etc..)
-

-

The script I used is called "Custom Calendar" and can be bought from the Creation Cassel website. I didn't consciously change the frame colour on my November page. I simply used a large photo and placed it inside the mask group. I've just checked my PSP file and the frame seems to be taking the colour and texture of the background layer - I have no idea if that was supposed to happen or not...

And my last two pages – a tree in its autumn colours for November and a Christmas flowering cactus for December
