  1. Sue, those are spectacular! My daughter has been using the moon in her art lately so I'm well "mooned." ;-) I see the individual shots, which you said were new, are labeled with the year 2023. The images must really take a long time to travel to Earth! :-D j/k

(One of Deb's linocuts, of a series of 12)

  2. Bonnie: That's a great layout! I didn't know that Xenas was a general term for strong women. I'm familiar with a minor superhero type named Xena Warrior Princess who had a tv show until 2001. Of course, she was shaped like a Playboy Bunny for the masses. It was many years ago and women were not as appreciated then as they are coming to be now. I have always been a strong advocate and dragged my daughters to Women's Rights marches in the 60s.
  3. I had 4 photos that my daughter in California took at Thanksgiving, so I "borrowed" Corel's freebie (with a lot of edits!)

Here are the details copied from the Image Information:

MY FAVORITE GIFTS COLLAGE - COREL FREEBIE

FONT: VALENTINA - EARTH 4 GRADIENT - INNER BEVEL

BACKGROUND: ENLARGED PHOTO - GAUSSIAN BLUR

    PHOTOS BY DEBBIE LENNOX

GIVE THANKS STICKER FROM MY CLIPART LIBRARY

  4. I wanted to try out the new snowflake picture tube, so I took Cassel's snowy window and added a snowy photo behind it. The photo was filled with bright sunshine, so I re-colored the sky with the Paint to Target Brush, taking the color from another photo I found of darkened sky. I lowered the opacity a bit on the photo and on the layer with the snowflakes. Ta-da!
  5. The second of my Dec 2022 calendars is for my Big Cat collection, this one from the Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone, Minnesota. Introducing Shadow, one of my favorite cats, the black leopard. Shadow, is getting along in years but, as typical of black leopards, is still very feisty. The templates were offered last  year and I add a background and texturize the frame and calendar.
  6. Daughter Debbie sent another shot of the Pacific at sundown, so I put it in Cass's Holiday Window Frame. The background paper is ps_janet-kemp_95882_christmas-day-wood-paper. I used a snowflake brush on the border. The gnome and gift are from my large Christmas stash. The font is Banana Pancakes. I fiddled with the shadows that would be coming from the setting sun in the window.
  7. After learning from the Master Class, I created this blended layout from my granddaughter's wedding photos. I think I only used the smart selection brush and the eraser tool. I need more practice with the multiple masks. This was the happy couple and a photo of the flowers on the head table at the reception. I had the word art in a wedding kit.
  8. My California daughter, Debbie Lennox, took this great Golden Chanterelle mushroom photo and handed me material for the Gold Challenge. The layout is a template called cass-SimpleArtsy01, the background paper is ps_marisa-lerin_11183_stars-04-paper-yellow-pink_cu, the second background is an enlargement of the photo with layer effect Luminance and then I reduced the opacity to 51%. The journaling font is Copperplate Gothic, where I'm having a problem with the reproduction of the font when I reduce the size of the layout. Carole/Cassel, can you help?

I now see it looks alright if you enlarge the image here.
