Module 6 Project 6. I recycled the mask from Alinamaria DCS that I used on Day 1 Project 1 of the Masks Workshop to provide a glimpse of an Autumn Bokeh by Rosemary Causbrook at PSP Maniacs which is underneath the cluster. Ribbons, elements and clipart from CF, Marisa Lerin, and Rachel Martin. Papers from PBS-Escale amoureuse- Talie, cpjess, ps_jessica-dunn, and Cassel. Font for Alphas AR CENA 400 and for journaling and tag AR Essense.

I did a couple or more as ellipses and the rest circles. At first I tried to dare to be different and was going to try to get the effect with triangles LOL but I couldn't get them to draw out the way i envisioned.

Much to Tyson's "horror", we recycle his treats in that we cut them into smaller chunks and pieces LOL. At the prices that "duck jerky" is going for, it makes sense and lets the bag go ALOT further. I guess you could say, less of those plastic bags going out with the trash as well.

When I traveled back to Iowa for my nephews wedding (see Cooper Day 2.jpg in the Workshops/Masks gallery), I had a few hours to kill before the event required my presence so I visited a "museum/home" in the town in which my motel was located. Then I drove all over the county trying to "clock" as many bridges as I could get to before it was time to get ready and drive to the wedding. I'm ready to get slammed on one of the shadows LOL. Not sure in a scrapbook sense if it should have been "enhanced"...maybe just even LARGER than normal offsets with even less opacity and even more blur. Then again, in my head, I got it right for the effect I was going for. Shrug! I tried to keep the layout simple (except using those masks). Pretty much everything on here is from original papers/elements or from internet acquisition and modification. I took the photos. The fonts are Quentin Caps and Durango-western.

Bringing October in with a bang (although the birthday was yesterday; I didn't wrap it up until this morning). Module 5 Project 5. Shadows were challenging but I "think" I got most of them done OK. Several of the papers came from the cpjess-crafty eve mini kit. Background was cass-Random Brush Print-Summer. A couple of things off internet then highly modified by myself. Alpha is original.......base font is Incised 901 Nd BT @400 dpi. The ribbon was generated with the sinebot plugin, then turned into a pattern flooded into a narrow 3600 wide selection. Stitching was the original stitch tube from Corel but I've made 3 or 4 more in different colors.

Going to combine an image from the Random Challenge project with the latest freebie.

As September comes to a close, I've been playing around with making some balloon alphas. I've done two out of 10 colors (and fonts) for the project.

Been pretty steady rain off and on. I live in town so not really seeing much flooding, at least in our area. But yes, pretty waterlogged. The "cricks up" as we say around here.

Module 4 Project 4. Almost all supplies from Cassel's Fire and Ice with a couple of modifications. Used a green paper from Jessica Dunn. The doily was done by me following along one of the tutorials. I pretty much turned the layout 90 degrees since my photo was NOT in landscape format. PS...you have to look close to see Rambo.

Here in Western Kentucky, we are fairly fortunate in that we experience all four seasons. I've lived places where Winters are long and cold with alot of ice and snow and Summers are short and humid. I've also lived in Alaska where nights can get as long as the winter LOL. I have no complaints this year.

@Cassel I'm curious. I saw you mentioned to one of the other participants in the boot camp, something about using a rope and making sure it was on top. In Project 3, I did a cluster that is different from many, in that I had a couple of ropes, a string, and a group of shells. The shells seemed to me to "work" placing them on top over the center knot on one of the ropes which was on top of a rope that was coming apart. I really enjoyed finding that sweet spot with the layering where the string appeared to intertwine amidst the layers. Did I really achieve the effect I was hoping for placing the shells on top?

I got in habit of doing that for some reason. I guess I should be stingier on the use of bevels. I thought for the "post-it"s, it would allow a better visual of "cutting out" shapes from the bottom row and gluing them onto the top row i.e. leaving a "hole" in bottom row and raised portion on top. Looking back, I overdid it by adding the bevel to the final layer of Post-its top and bottom AFTER doing the "detail" work inside each using selections. Should have done only shadowing at the end?

Day 11 Project 5. Papers are combination from PSBT-Songbird, Jessica Dunn, and tutorial practice projects with some blending involved. Frames and flowers and other elements from internet. Fonts are Gill Sans Ultra Bold Condensed @350 px and a script font.

Module 3 Project 3. A couple of papers from cpjess, one modified from Flolinette-PBS and a rope from Marisa Lerin. The photo is two originals taken from aboard ship, blended together with another layer that was a gradient fill. Background, plaid paper and paint splash original. Elements from the internet. I keep forgetting to write down the font names when I have more than one and always "lose" the first one LOL. Needless to say it was as Carole calls them...a thick one and in this case a 3D font. The second is obviously Ariel. PS. I'm going to start renaming the font raster layers with the font name and size. Might keep me straight in the future that way. The OpenAsLayer does a good job with the papers and elements in that way.

I have been working (slowly) through the Basic Scrap Course and posting in the gallery and in the Basic Scrap Course thread. If anybody has critiques or suggestions, I welcome the inputs.

I like what you did with the rope in the 2nd one. Nice job.
