  1. I have done another one for this challenge ... it is a bit of a cheat really, but then again maybe not as it is not a photo but a painting by the artist Peter Max.  Lynda alerted me to his artwork and, as she suggested, I perused Google.  He was an interesting fellow and he sure loved to paint with bright colors.  This painting is just called "Vase of Flowers".  I was lucky enough to have a gorgeous scrapkit by Amanda from Digital Scrapbooking Studio titled "Plum Perfect" and it was sure perfect for this project.  The simple but effective layout is one by Marisa Lerin of Pixel Scrappers.  Kabupaten is the font I used for the title.  Thanks for takin a peek!
  2. Hi Lynda, you are most welcome my friend. I did do a Google search on Peter Max and he certainly is an interesting character and a very bright colors inspired artist. I liked his vase of flowers so I have snagged one and will do a page for the random challenge ... "no photo" ... well it is a painting right! A little bit of a cheat but I think I can get away with it ... I don't think Carole will sack me, ;D
  3. Oh my Lynda ... these are truly gorgeous and so colorful, as stained glass should be of course. I love mandalas and have made some background papers using them as overlays once I have seamlessly tiled them. Your choice of colors is fantastic and I especially love the combinations in the whale. You Go Girl!
  4. Thanks Shirlz. The Austiebost Crazy Days and Solange fonts are both freebies on the web. I forgot to mention that for 'My Cat' I used a font called Cinnamon Roll Frosted JF and it is also a freebie on the web. Honestly Shirlz, I have way too many fonts and get totally lost when trying to select one to use, lol! <3
  5. Well I decided to have an attempt at this challenge.  Scrap kit I used is Family Game Night by Marisa Lerin from Pixel Scrappers and the layout was also by Marisa Lerin.  The journaling is mine!  :) ... and I used Alien Skin Xenofex 2 plugin for the burnt edge effect on the journaling paper.  Thanks for takin a peek!
  6. Here is the page I created for Bonnie's delightful cat, Penny.  She sounds like such a fun character Bonnie, that I decided to go with that in mind.  For the layout I used a template by Marisa Lerin (Pixel Scrappers) and I also used a really cute scrap kit by Gina Jones (Pixel Scrappers) called "Bearly Spring".  The font used for Penny's name is Solange and the title font is Austiebost Crazy Days.  I hope I have not overwhelmed the photos with the layout ... I always worry about that ... but I think, overall, it does suit Penny.  Hope it is satisfactory Bonnie!  Thanks for takin a peek!

P.S.  The journaling is out of a children's book that I had for my kids.  I think I read that to them just about every night for many years of their childhood ... a well worn and loved little storybook, :)

  7. Thanks Michele and Cristina. My problem is that I look at my creations and they are very 'samey'. I need to jump out of my comfort zone but I start a project and get lost for inspiration so I end up doing the same style again! I have not been one for busy pages but maybe I really need to give myself a push. I have joined the photo switch challenge with Bonnie so here's hoping I can create a suitable page for her Penny. You put a smile on my dial Michele and I hear what you are saying ... mojo in self-isolation, lol!
  8. I found this great photo on Unsplash and it was taken by Ehud Neuhaus.  It is a photo of dwellings in Prinsengracht which, I am assuming, is a suburb of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.  Layout and papers are my own as are the tubes.  I seem to have lost my mojo and am just not terrifically happy with anything I create lately.  I just don't know where it has gone to but I hope I find it soon!  Maybe I am just stuck in a rut ... ;)  Thanks for takin a peek!
  9. Thanks Shirlz. I admit to going into a bit of a slump since Jasper has gone but I know it will pass. He was such a little character. When we got up of a morning he would jump around and bark a treat as a morning greet ... I miss that. This cold spell has given me an excuse to vegetate on the lounge and lose myself in movies and binge watching tv shows ... rugged up in pjs, dressing gown and uggies ... of course! I confess to being reluctant to 'get dressed for the day' and relish the opportunity to stay in the pjs if I am not going anywhere or expecting visitors, LOL! I hope you are doing well my friend and I am guessing that you would be way more used to cold weather than we are. <3
  10. Hi Bonnie.  Let's try with this one and if it doesn't work I will email it to you.  :)  After posting this I clicked on his name which brought up the picture then I right clicked and selected copy image then I pasted as a new image in PSP.  It should come out as size 4000 x 3000 pixels which can be downsized easily.  Sorry about that ... I must have been having a senior's moment ... I have a lot of those lately, lol!
  11. Hi Bonnie.  This is the photo I will offer for you to scrap.  It is of my dog Jasper and was taken in 2012 when he was 4 yr old.  He passed last week so he never quite made it to 12 yrs.  He was a real character and definitely the problem child!  Dachshund and Jack Russell cross and he proudly exhibited every one of their undesirable traits, ;)   We have 2 other little yappers ... a mini foxy chi cross and a pug.  We are struggling with the change in family dynamics at the moment but, as you and I both know, time heals.  The love however remains and for that I am grateful.  All yours now my friend, thank you.
