  1. Dear Cristina, thank you very much my friend, your commiserations are greatly appreciated. Let 2021 put paid to the miseries of 2020. I say that but on another level I believe that our Spiritual growth comes from difficult times rather than our sweet years. Perhaps on that level we were meant to experience 2020 in the raw. I am not religious Cristina but my Spiritual growth is very important to me and ... I usually recognize a kindred Spirit. ;D
  2. You always come up with something wonderful Carole so I am very happy to roll with that. I shall play along with a couple of Bootcamps to keep PSP sharp and I love the Lab modules, so many ideas for creating elements etcetera. Thank you very much Carole, very much appreciated. :)
  3. Corrie, a sweet Christmas card for Christmas wishes my friend and your gnome is a real cutie. Thank you and a merry Christmas to yourself and your family.

I think it is not the merry Christmas that most of us would have wished for. Here in Queensland we have not been greatly impacted by COVID even though it's tentacles have spread far and wide. Our State Premier has been a Godsend in maintaining rules and regulations to keep it under control.

Unfortunately even if not COVID afflicted there are other tragedies that render a merry Christmas mute.

On Wednesday 16th December a very dear family friend hung himself in one of our public parks and then one week later my niece's partner hung himself in their shed while she was inside feeding their 8 month old baby girl. Strange year and strange occurrences ... 2020 was a very bad year all round and this Tobin family was not meant to celebrate Christmas ... all our plans being quashed ... naturally.

I am not grieving so much as I feel deeply saddened for the lost souls and the heartbreak that is left behind.

May 2021 be a better year for us all dear Corrie. :(

  4. Ann I am so pleased that it worked out for you in the end. It is such a cute Home for Christmas and now you can play around with colour changes etcetera which is loads of fun if at times a little frustrating especially if you change the source colour instead of the target colour ... you will see what I mean, LOL! Remember, keep your eye on the target and, click on it to change the colour. I promise you, you will have loads of fun.

Anytime I can be of help just holler my friend. ;D

  5. Ann, I am not sure why they would not work. But, here is what I do with mine;-

Download the zip file to the scripts restricted folder in PSP.

Then create a folder for AWS scripts if you don't already have one (this is handy if you purchase more AWS scripts).

Move the zip file into the AWS folder and unzip.

Read the instructions (I usually save the instruction file in another folder that I have created for future reference).

Place all the selections into the PSP Selections folder.

Place all the picture tubes into the PSP Picture Tube folder.

If there are patterns or templates do the same thing and place in their respective PSP folders.

Leave all the PSP scripts where they are ... in this case I think there will be 6 of them as listed below.

As I save the zip file into a folder for all PSP related zip file downloads I delete the extraneous (blinkie, etcetera) which have opened when unzipping ... your choice.

Your scripts should now be good to go.

In your drop down list the items will show up individually:- AWS_ChristmasCardFrame1, AWS_ChristmasCardFrame2, AWS_ChristmasSnowman, AWS_ChristmasTree2, AWS_HereComesSanta, and AWS_HomeForChristmas.

A screenshot below will show how I tend to save my PSP and Scripts Restricted files.

I also have a preview folder ... for me it is easier to browse through ... every picture tells a story!

If you have done all of the above then there is no reason (that I can think of) why the scripts should not work.

I hope this helps Ann ... if not then we shall pass it on to Cassel ... I am a PSP knowledge rookie compared to Carole, ;D

  6. Here is another for the snowman theme challenge.  I used Carole's freebies to create the snowman and the ear muffs were made using the garland brush.  The title font is Zilap Alien.  I created a bokeh paper from the merged image to use for the font and then I followed Carole's tut for Block Shape to given it some dimension ... love that tutorial.  I didn't use a drop shadow on the title because it stood out better without, guess that is the way of it sometimes.  Thanks for takin a peek!  ;D
  7. Ann, I don't use Corel scripts simply because they don't suit the projects I work with. I love Carole's scripts which you can purchase from the Creation Cassel website. AWS scripts are Angel Wing Scraps scripts which you can purchase from the Scrap and Tubes Store. I love using scripts and I have a LOT from all over the place. But ... I also love what Cassel teaches us here, to be our own creators. I am learning how to create scripts from the SuzShook script lessons available for purchase from here. I think it will take me a LITTLE while to get the hang of it, ;) Below is one of AWS which I put together about 20 mins ago. Hope this is a little enlightening for you my friend. ;D
  8. As I said on the page ... snowmen make you smile.  Such a happy theme, thanks Cassel.  Snowman and Tree I created using AWS scripts ... luv em!  When I think about it, hats off to all who write scripts for PSP.  I should imagine it would be very time consuming ... and, it lightens our load or ... makes us lazy, lol!  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.
  9. I decided to play around again for another attempt at this challenge.  The two background papers were made using a PPS script (PPS PM Trees) and again I used only the colours for the challenge - one background grey and the other yellow.  The other papers were simply made by using the flood fill tool and a texture.  The xmas deco was made using a PPS script  and the snowman and tree by using AWS scripts.  A snow brush to drift diagonally across and the font used for the title is Base:Christmas.  The bow was made from one of Cassel's scripts and the title was enhanced by following Cassel's cartoon words tutorial without putting the sticker background to it.  Needless to say, I had some fun.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D
  10. Corrie I am very happy that you liked the result. It was a challenge because when you first looked at the colours ... it was like ooooh! Anyways, I think it has helped to mellow our Christmas days. Thank you my friend. ;D

P.S. How is your husband faring? And, with COVID being such a big issue in the Northern Hemisphere currently are you going to be able to celebrate Christmas etcetera? I will be thinking of you my friend. ;(

  11. Hello again Campus Friends.  I thought I would post this xmas deco as it was another I had made using the colour challenge hex codes.  You will probably notice the changes from the original hex codes with only certain areas maintaining the true colour.  Three dimensional is like that yeah!  ;D
  12. Well I have taken up the challenge Cassel, ;)  I noticed that the colours were diminished once a texture was applied so I was very careful in sourcing the textures to use.  The background is a gradient (foreground/background) and the texture applied was Filters Unlimited2-Paper Textures-Canvas Fine ... it has slightly degraded the gradient.  Over the yellow paper I have applied a snow brush and the grey paper I have left alone.  The ribbon is my own as is the arrow and the gnome ... I gave her a red skirt just to lift the page and as it was about Rudi I thought that was ok.  The little bird was a tube by Graph Sabine and I had to colour his cap to fit in with the theme.  The Xmas deco was made from a script I have from Pinks Poetic Scraps.  It is called Xmas deco and apart from the green fir leaves I used only the colours from the challenge so the colour changes are the result of textures, bevels, shadows etcetera.  The reindeer was a beautiful pencil art freebie off the web and the red nose was the round brush with reduced opacity.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D
