I haven't been posting my progress because I know we have to go back to prior days as we learn more. I'll post them when we're all done. I love what you've all been doing. This is a great group.

Soooo happy for Jackie; a bit jealous, too. ❤️

It's all electronic now. Before then, we had curtained voting booths where we had to turn levers and once we opened the curtain back up, that was it. Voting always makes me feel good. I mailed in my ballot today! I'm getting a little too old and broken down to wait in lines outside in the cold.

I made this for someone in the PSP Maniacs group. She realized she had pictures of both her late father and mother on the porch of their cabin. She supplied all three pictures and the quote. I colorized a paper from DiHillerDesigns and lowered the opacity over a paper from AnnieC. The mask is from Lady22 template 245 and the birds are from ALFL Blog Train Jan 2021. I made the tag using one of Cassel's edge punches; it took a long time and I patted myself on the back when I was done 😂. The text font is Melinda Script and I made the hearts using a dingbat font called Heart.

Maybe I'll get through the entire workshop this year!

These are really beautiful. I noticed the text on the right has Brittany's name spelled wrong. I only noticed it because I was trying to see the problematic glyphs you mentioned.

I made this following a tutorial in the Beginners Workshop which is now defunct. If @Cassel think it's okay for me to share it, I will.

Thanks, @Christina. The font is Castle Combe.

Try making a picture tube out of it. Maybe it will be easier to remember.

It can be something as simple as your signature in a picture tube. I use mine when I post something on a public site (when I remember). I rarely do it here because I can't imagine any of our members would take someone else's work and pass it on as their own.

This is simply fabulous! I love everything about it. I'm impressed with how you were able to add shadows to the transparent balloons. I end up adding a shadow and erasing the part that's under the transparent part. How did you do it?

Wonderful designer and mega-sized downloads for FREE
Michele replied to Julie Magerka's topic in Chit Chat
I stopped spending money a long time ago; there are too many freebies available, especially in the blog trains. I've stopped myself from downloading anything new (well, I've slowed down anyway). I have literally thousands of zip files I have yet to open and organize. To organize my supplies I have different folders in a main folder I call Creations. It includes folders for Backgrounds, Textures and Overlays, Clip Art, Templates, etc. I make sure the names of the files include the source and include a preview pic (if there is one) in the folders. If I find something I want to use, I can do a search in Creations for all the items included in that kit. I don't know if this makes sense to anyone else but it works for me. -

Thanks so much, @Julie Magerka. It is certainly a MEGA bundle. -
Children do what they see. If their parents use their devices, their kids will want to also.

OMG, the colors!

I used to go every year to look at the windows and the tree in Rockefeller Center. Then we would get something to eat. NYC at Christmas time is incredible. Oh, and once you're old and retired, you can be a hermit like me! 😄

I wish I had my pics out of my storage unit. I have a really cute one of my daughter finger-painting when she was about three years old.
-
I don't get there anymore; I'm pretty much a hermit now. But years ago my mom lived in Manhattan and we used to take my young daughter there, especially to the zoo. And when I was a teenager in Brooklyn, I used to sneak into the City with my friends to the Schaefer Music Festival in Central Park. If we didn't have tickets (~$2), we would just hang out and listen.

I do the same thing.

I wanted an autumn feel and few places are as beautiful as Central Park, NY during this season. These are stock photos that I wish I'd taken. Cass's polaroid script came in handy, even if I did edit them a little. The elements and backgrounds are from a bunch of different sources including PS blog trains, CF, and Boo Land Designs. Again, the Change to Target brush was a lifesaver. The font is AutumnEmbrace for both the title and the little leaves.
