  1. Day 6. Felix is my youngest great-nephew. The top ribbon is from Marisa Lerin at Digital Scrapbook. The bottom one was created using the Ribbon Factory script from Cassel. The mask was created with the help of the Paint Slash script, also from Cassel. The font is Retro Real Wavy from Creative Fabrica.
  2. Day 5. The mask was made using Summer Punches from Cassel. The waves were made using the Waving script, also from Cassel. The beach background is from Pixabay. I used the Sand Writing tutorial in the Campus to create the title. The "treasure" is my oldest great-nephew, Brelan who will be 16 in a couple of months.
  3. This one depicts random thoughts. If it needed a title, it would be My Mother's Day. Years ago, I started calling my mother on my birthday to thank her for being my mother. I called it My Mother's Day. When I moved back to Alabama to be with her, I would take her to dinner to celebrate (usually at a restaurant that gave a free dessert for my birthday!) This will be the first birthday without her. I may still go to a restaurant. After all, she wouldn't want me to miss out on a free dessert! The mask for my mother was made using a watercolor brush from Rikard Rodin. The raggedy edges and the gold from were made using Picture Frame in PSP.
  4. The car is from CleanPNG. The mask is from Graphics Creation. When I saw that it was Kaleidoscope Day, I set aside a couple of hours to stare mindlessly at the changing shapes and colors.
  5. I spent lots of time experimenting with the plaid, including tinkering with the settings for seamless tiling. Since the photos are "busy," I wanted a pattern that wouldn't compete. The green "plaid" looks closer to a grunge effect. The photos are mine. Although I'm not a good photographer, I keep finding little bits of a picture that look nice enough to showcase. The font is Welcome Spring from Creative Fabrica. The butterflies came from Pixabay. They already had shadows but in the wrong direction. Flipping them solved the problem.
  6. I had the same problem. The link kept redirecting me back to my Dropbox account. Since I had the template from the previous mask workshop, I was able to use it.
  7. Day 1. The script is Shocking Script from Creative Fabrica. The paper is from Pet Papers by Marisa Lerin on Digital Scrapbook.
  8. Day 7. Noah has been doing modeling and commercials. In one, he had to portray a child who was happily playing and suddenly dramatically sick. While the director praised his talent, his mother realized she saw the same behavior when she yelled, "Time to go to school!" Is it talent or practice? The kit is a collaboration called Boy of Mine from Go Digital Scrapbooking. The font is Nonplussed from Creative Market.
  9. Day 6. Technically, the pictures were taken at Gulf Shores. As a veteran Miamian, I understand the difference between a gulf and the ocean. However, Felix, who is six months old, and Amelia, who is three, are not interested in nuance. Besides, nuanced accuracy would have gotten in the way of the fun title I found. The kit is from Throwing Some Scrap Around by Jodi Watson, which I found on Go Digital Scrapbooking. Unfortunately, the website does not seem to be operational. The font is Hey Beach from Creative Fabrica.
  10. Never apologize for purple. "I think god gets mad if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it." (paraphrased from The Color Purple - Alice Walker.)
  11. Day 5. Felix was born this past summer. The pictures are some of "The Firsts" of his first year - winter (in Illinois), Halloween, and Christmas. The papers are from Annie Digital. The fonts are Lato Light and Belgium.
  12. Day 4. Ansley, born in September, is the newest addition to my sister's roster of grandkids. We have one more coming in April and added another one by a recent marriage. The background is from Chantahlia Designs.
  13. Day 4. The picture is from Pixabay. A pond in our neighborhood is a favorite rest stop on the migratory route. A neighbor posted a picture of some late-season travelers waddling around on the ice that has formed during this brutal cold snap.
  14. Day 2 - This is my 3-year-old great-niece Amelia. It looks like she borrowed gloves from her dad. The papers are from a collection by Marisa Lerin called Winter Arabesque. The snow-capped font is Winter Vibes from Creative Fabrica. I've also attached screenshot of a recent problem with wrapping text. Even after clicking the checkmark for ACCEPT, any change, e.g., moving, changing size, or duplicating the layer, removes the constraint of the selection. This is a recent phenomenon. My PSP 2023 version is 25.2.0.58 x64.
  15. Patiently waiting for spring - for now. Impatience should be taking over by the end of the week.
  16. Ann - That is a beautiful story. You and your mom made a good call. Back when Facebook was still fun, distant cousins started to reach out and connect. A common thread was music, from the professional performers and educators, to the church musician, to the guitar picker, to the parent who didn't play an instrument but supported her children who did. Music was an integral part of our family. Attached is a picture of "The Landreth Brothers Quartet" (1938). My dad is the tall one in the tan suit. The other picture is of me at the piano flanked by the "Jim and Gene Quartet" comprised of my uncles Jim and Gene from the original quartet, and Uncle Genes fraternal twin sons, Jim and Gene.
  17. I do a lot of decorating. Since I moved back to Alabama to care for my mom, it grew each year. Even though she had a bad childhood, she still loved Christmas. I did my best to bring as much magic to it as I could to help make up for lost Christmases. She passed away earlier this year. Since it is just me and the cats, I considered keeping it to a minimum if I did anything at all. After pondering a bit, I decided to go ahead, starting with the 9-ft. tree in the living room.
  18. I use Fontbase. There is a free version which is fully functional. The paid version is $39 a year, which is what I use. It has features that let me sync fonts between my two laptops. The viewer does a good job of giving access to the glyphs.
  19. Project 5. The font is Ernestone Script from Creative Fabrica. The picture is my mom with her first grandchild, the mother of Noah and Felix from earlier projects.
  20. In the "Save As" dialog box, there is a slider to adjust the compression.
  21. The papers and elements are from a kit by Jessica Dunn, Into the Wild. The font is Summer Fun from Creative Fabrica. I recently found out that Noah, the older brother, is doing commercials and ads. I just thought he was a cute kid. Little did I know ...
  22. Project 3 I used elements from the Best Mom Ever kit. I swapped out the papers at the last minute and forgot to make of note of the details. These are pictures of my mom and Amelia, who has recently been deposed as the reigning "Baby of the Family." She was always fussy until she was in her great-grandmother's arms. Later, Amelia stayed close to her when they were together, even guiding her walker and eating cake. NOTE: I forgot to credit the quote. It is from that wise sage, Anonymous. Sorry for the oversight.
  23. Thank you. The font for the title was La Bamba LET. I don't remember where I got it, but it's available on DaFont and other sites. The "scrawl" on the side of the photo is Book Signature and came from Creative Fabrica.
  24. My great-nephew Noah requested a baby sister. It took him about a day to adjust when he was told that it would be a brother instead. He takes the responsibility of being a big brother quite seriously.
  25. The picture is the front of our house. I tried Carole's tutorial on creating a spooky look. It's hard to see, but there is a ghost in the window. I experimented with having him on the porch, but that got tooooo spooky. The clipart and font (Butcherman) are from Creative Fabrica.
