Dawn, thank you very much, as I'm relativly new to Scrapbook it is so encouraging and I must say this is quit addictive in a good way of course. Besides it is good practise for my English.

After the long heatwave we had the weather has changed to storm and rain. It is already much earlier dark outside and this combines to give the feeling of autumn. So for this challenge, writing on different surfaces, I made something matching my mood. I also used the Perle Noir color, but desided to post it here.

Monique I have the same problem. I started in March and now I just try to collect only the ones I like very much! And if I need something special for a layout I try to search with that in mind. I have still stored them by name, but have the alphabets, templates and overlays separate. And I made special categories for Easter, Christmas/NewYear and Birthdays

Here is my day 7, I used  the mini kit Kiss from Pixelscrappers, with the latest freebie from Carole the paper punched because they fitted to my story.

 

Carole the photo of the lightning is sadly not my one, I found it on the internet. And thank you so much for again an interesting challenge.

I have always been making cards one way or the other. At first with paper etcetera and then with photos, now I try them with scrapbook because it gives you so many options.

When searching for something else I found the photo with Sinterklaas, so I modified that page and put the photo on it. So here it is!

Carole you are right I used your freebie licorice alpha for day 5. It suits the food theme. Oh and for day 7 I do not get the correct link to the template and quick page!

In the end here is my day 5 about food. I had a couple of very busy days and not much time but this is the result. I'm not quit happy with the colors of the layout but it must do for now and I can go on with day 6.

Day 4 went very quick, that must be because I hated sports and wanted to finish this layout in n o time.

As usual I'm a little behind due to the time difference and the fact that I have to use the dictionary a lot for the correct spelling! Nevertheless here is my day 3. I enjoyed all your stories very much. Art do you still speak Dutch after all those years? Now to day 4!

Here are my day 1 and 2 together. Yesterday evening it was running so late (time difference) that I had no time to send my day 1 in. Now it is late again but not yet midnight! I love the work of all of you.

 

The photo in day 1 is of me and my mam in hospital the day after I was born. My dad was a keen photographer, not so usual in those days.  I like a layout best with at least 1 photo. After this challenge is over I will probably change my text to Dutch.

As a quit like making cards I made this one just for fun while waiting for the next challenge to start tomorrow. I used the Vector Spiral Script which I found in the Featured Resources. I placed the text on the spiral and hid the spiral itself. It says congratulations in Dutch. The sunflower photo is mine as always, the frame was a freebie of Carole sometime ago.

 

It is a double card but you cann't see that very well because the background is white, but I use it to print and send to some one by oldfashioned mail!

E = Easter Cards

While waiting for the Story Time Challenge to start I am experimenting a bit and this is a layout I did with  a slat! Something I never used before. The photo is from a walk in a nearby forest and heather area. For those of you who live in USA, Canada, Australia the dimensions of this forest will be nothing like those in your countries! But it is still a nice place to go for a two or three hours walk. I also used the cluster template from Carole. We are having a heatwave at the moment so I'm not doing very much at all besides waiting for it to pass!

Hi Grace, I warm welcome from the Netherlands! I'm around since April with the start of a Bootcamp then and I was so happy I did. During the worst months of this ongoing Covid-crisis I had something totally different to keep me busy and now I'm hooked. Besides it is nice to "meet" people from around the world. Best wishes for your surgery and hope to see you around soon.

What a lovely story and a great layout! I had to use the dictionary to find out what a woodchuck is. Overhere we have similar animals in the woods and grasslands. I live in a more build up area and can only maybe see them on holidays or daytrips.

Hi every one, nice work from all of you and Shirley I would love to tast your cake maybe with a nice glass of bubbles! I won the Ribbon Dragonflies Script last weekend  and have had great fun playing around with it. I made a lot of dragonflies and I like the ones with the lace wings best because the lace simply suits them. Furthermore I made one with a red/white/blue ribbon because those are the colors of our flag and an orange one because orange is our national color. And then some more.
