  1. C = Calendar, time to hang a new one on the wall
  2. A = Appelflappen = Apple turnovers a Dutch treat traditionally belonging to this time of the year.
  3. Cindy I did the same as Susan, but on a tablet (Ipad) and like she said being able to follow along really helps. Good luck on the bootcamp, every time you try to do it, your results are better.?
  4. Susan thank you. The book has a good quality and the prints are very sharp indeed. It is on a kind of pearl paper which is very thick and therefor the pages are lying flat when the book is open. But I am sorry it is a Dutch company and I don't think they have an US branch. I make the books (I have more done by them) on line, so I imaging they will send their produce where ever you want, but it will cost you on postage to the US.
  5. Thank you and yes the book is square, 21x21 cm.
  6. I had my alphabet printed and this is what it looks like. It arrived saterday and the company we had for my husban's birthday loved to see it, because in the beginning of last year I talked about this undertaking and asked for ideas.
  7. Here the weather is much the same as at Marie-Claire's place, but we have had more rain over last weekend. For days in a row it was only dry at night, but yesterday and today it is sunny, a good thing for our solar panels! A specific plan if you can call it that way is that after 4 month I finally am allowed to go swimming tomorrow, so happy days.
  8. Susan thank you and I like the futuristic bridge in Dordrecht best. In many of our older cities you can find bridges like the one in Amersfoort. How to do the water and sky was just a try out, but it turned out well.
  9. I too had a difficult time choosing what I wanted to do, changing some aspects etc. But in the end I have something to show; I used all the elements but rearranged them. My topic is bridges; here in the Netherlands we live partly in a delta area and have a lot of rivers and waterways. Which in turn provide us with a lot of bridges and here are just a couple that I managed to take a photo from. The water background I made using a small part of the water in one of my photos, gave it a slight blur and a blend mode. The sky is also a photo that I put on top of the water to create a less sharp edge.
  10. I have no resolutions for this year! I never make them anymore because it turned out useless. But now I'm almost finished with rehab training after my hipreplacement, I plan to visit my daughter and her family a little later in the year. They recently moved from Washington State to California, work related. So a whole new area to see, although at the moment it isn't fantastic there with all the bad weather, luckily their new house is on higher ground. Now I'm able to go for longer walks I hope to take new photos of flowers as if I haven't yet enough And use them in many projects and challenges. I have a whole list of Labs and Elements I want to explore besides Masterclasses to watch. It always seems I do not have time enough, my normal social live must continue and last but not least I want to spend time with my husband. As we are not that young anymore you never know how long that will last. For this week: we celebrate my hubbies birthday on friday and because it is possible again there will be visitors friday and in the weekend; so that means shopping, cleaning, cooking etc.
  11. U = Unite with family and friends
  12. S = Singing
  13. My take on this sketch challenge. As we don't have winter overhere in the Netherlands at the moment, it is way to warm for the time of the year, I started to dream about flowers. I used some papers about vintage gardening which I have for a long time and I don't remember where I got them from. My photo was in portret format so I rotated the sketch
  14. I found the "Year in Review" freebie template in the store while looking for something else. I used it pretty much as is, just a background with some text and some coloring. For each month I choose a project from that month that I did for that month. Because there isn't space for the whole layouts I took a detail from each.
  15. N = New Start
  16. J = January also a bit obvious, but it belongs here
