  1. I was checking out Creative Fabrica's sight today and found this wallpaper   (and others) and the world flat map in today's Daily Gifts.  I liked them so much I though I would create something so I could share this info today. I know the world thing would show up better on a more solid background, but I liked the looks of this.
  2. I started working on this a few days ago and just had time to finish it.  I got this quote off of a calendar page years ago and have always liked it.  I have the original page taped to the side of my P C tower where I know I will see it everyday.
  3. I have handled snakes that belonged to a friend but I don't care much for them.  There are a lot of different kinds of snakes in my area.  I guess I will never think about snakes without remembering something my Grandmother said.  She was deadly afraid of snakes.  She said if she was ever bitten by one, it wouldn't make any difference if it was poisonous or not, she would die of fright either way.

  4. First off I want to say I always look at all the posts and really enjoy them and the comments.  I just don't usually take the time to comment very often.  Every one of the projects this month (as usual) are lovely.  Here goes my once in a blue moon comments.  If I mistyped any names I am sorry.

Bonnie Ballentine The Florida page turned out nice. The bright flowers on the more quiet background was a nice way to show off your state’s beauty.                                                                                                                                     AnnieTobin Your Grab Bags are just darling. I may have to look for that script.                                                              Mary Sollas I like the way you put the pictures on the rope. The rest is well done also.                                                    Lynda DiGregor On your Mother’s day project I like the purple better, but maybe with the other paper so it is not quite all purple. --- I love your button puzzle, my eyes went crossed just thinking about trying to do that Jigsaw Puzzle, Oh my aching head                                                                                                                                                                               Ann Seeber I love your Wood Duck project. That background you created worked perfectly. What an interesting picture of your Granddaughter and future husband. The birds and hearts really set it off.                                                 Corrie Kindel I liked your Walk in the park project. A nice way to show off some of your new purchases. I like the way you used all soft colors your your Mother’s Day page. I can tell it was done with a lot of love.                                       Christina Your “You Rock” project really rocks. I really like it. You better save it for when that little girl becomes a big star.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Minka I liked your going home page. I hope the move goes smoothly this year.                                                                      Sheila Hogg Your rose turned out so pretty. I have been meaning to try that tracing thing, but have not yet. The leaves were a good touch.      Hmmm: I have no idea why things spread out in this way, it is not how I intended them to post. I guess I will have to try something different the next tiem.

  5. I had so much fun just playing around the other day. First I created the splotchy page starting with a bunch of bright oil paint blotches on a blank page then smeared them all together.  Then I used a bunch of different effects to come up with some interesting things.  This one using the spiky halo found under distortion effects jumped and me and said to use it for my Mother's Day card.
  6. After seeing the theme for this month yesterday, I got to playing around.  The original frame is cass-DirtTexture-Frame-01  I did a bunch of playing with it in PSP and came up with this.  It shows some of what can be done with a bit play time and some luck. (in the larger version you can see a lot more detail from some of the changes.)
  7. I have not done a lot of scraping lately but I have created a few thing for my Osprey Nest chat.  Audubon Osprey Nest

Hog Island, Bremen, Maine, USA    The Osprey part was a screenshot from that sight.  I used the free photo frame that was for Mothers Day and changed the colors because it is a male Osprey.  I then added another frame around it just because I thought it looked better that way but that was after I resized it for here.

  8. I have been working on this for a few days.  I know it is not Cassel's birthday until tomorrow, but I though I would post it here today.  I wanted to make her a Birthday page and decided to use the color challenge pallet to make it.
  9. Excel --- Excel at something, whether it is something big that a lot of people know about, or something as simple as       always getting those eggs cooked just right, or having the nicest flowers on the block, or anything else.

It makes you feel good to be able to pat yourself on the back and say "Hurray, I did it right again".
