Anita Wyatt Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Here are August and September calendr pages. The August page has a picture ofour Mr. Mooch. I used the Carolina Script from Creative Fabrica for the letter S and for the rest of the letters I used the Harrington font I have on my computer. Thank you Carole for the tip to add a softened and feathered image to the extra space, I had fun with that on both the July and and August page. For the September page I used a picture of our Cinnamon. Both cats have crossed the Rainbow bridge a few years ago, but they will always be in our heart. I used the Carolina font again for the letter S and finished with the Black Chancery which I have on my computer. The Autumn leaves are from Digital Scrapbook. I have not had time yet to start the cover page, am working on the next few pages. After that I will start on the cover. 1
Anita Wyatt Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Thanks Carole for the advice on the red color. I toned it down a bit to pick up the the color of the flowers better. Here is my updated June Calendar page. Do I need to tone it down some more? 1
matsugirl Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 The end of the challenge, but not the end to updating all my pages. Here is my cover. Thank you Cassel! This challenge was fun and challenging. 1
Guest Guest Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Anita Wyatt: Oh, I love your August Cat... did you painted it yourself
Ann Seeber Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 As Carole suggested here's an overview of my 14 page calendar challenge. 1
Michele Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Amazing work, everybody! I'm way behind; just starting Day 3. I probably knew and forgot that you could double click on a text layer to open up the text tool. I love re-finding Tips & Tricks! Thanks, Carole. 1
Cassel Posted October 25, 2021 Author Posted October 25, 2021 Ann, you should almost send that overview to the producers of the show. Who knows if they would be interested in doing something like that? 1
MoniqueN. Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Carole, great idea! :) Ann, maybe they will use it as merchandise :) 1
MoniqueN. Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 The cover of my Dutch heritage calender. This is a part of Amsterdam, rebuild at the museum grounds. 1
Ann Seeber Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Carole: There are official HBO Downton Abbey calendars available. I had one myself last year. This is totally unofficial with "fan-fiction" included. I got most of my material from the DA fan pages on Facebook. 1
Daphne Bowyer Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Hello all, Sorry a bit slow on uploading my cover as had a busy day yesterday.. Carole, I must say thank you for all your work with the Calendar project as it is great and I hope to do it again next year. Daphne 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I think I have everything now. I did some extras too. Here are my covers. The green cover is a template I found in my stash...but don't know where I got it. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 This is one of my absolute favorite flowers. Plumbago...it is tropical...I found it in Florida. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 I did two pages for February. I decided to use a flower theme but I love the photo of the cardinal...there's a heart on the branch...perfect for February. Cardinal photo taken in Kentucky. Flower photo (I don't know what it is called) taken in Tennessee. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Another Virginia photo. I love all azaleas. My first job was selling azaleas on the side of the road. My parents ran a small Mom and Pop nursery from our backyard. Over the years I made enough $$$ to pay for my high school senior trip and my first year of college. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Photo taken in South Carolina at a friend's wedding. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Yet another Florida photo...tropical plant, Bougainvillea. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Another month with 2 pages. I thought the turkey photo very appropriate for a Virginia Thanksgiving. Photo taken in my back yard. The Blue-eyed Grass is a new one for me. It is a wild flower and was growing in my yard this summer. I dug some of it and have it in pots, hoping it will survive the winter and I can plant it in the spring. We have had a couple of light frosts so I have it protected. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 The Tennessee photos were taken at the Gaylord Opryland hotel (resort and convention center). They decorate inside and out for Christmas. Friends and I traveled to Tennessee just to see the decorations. We were not disappointed. We spent hours walking the lobby (huge) and taking photos and then went outdoors to walk around all the outdoor decorations. The lobby has a river running thru it that contains water from all the famous rivers from all parts of the US, and from some rivers from parts of the world. I would loved to have stayed there but it was $300+ per room. It is open to the public so while we did not stay there, we sure did enjoy the gardens. If you get a chance to see it...do. 1
