Cassel Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 So many paths in life, so many opportunities for various professions and careers. Do you have a layout depicting your professional journey, or your kids' first job or maybe their graduation from college? It is usually a time to celebrate and take pictures. Another angle would be retirement from many years in a career. How about a change in profession? That can also deserve a scrapbook page, don't you think? Let's go!
Sheila Hogg Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 This was me in 1983/84. I started Student Nurse Training at the beginning of my 30's. Took 3.5 years to qualify. I went on to become a District Nursing Sister, a job which I loved. Retired at 52 to retrain in Foot Health and ran my own business for 15 happy years, retiring properly this Christmas past. I posted this for a previous challenge in 2017 and thought 'why invent the wheel' when it lends itself so well to this months challenge. TFL.
Ann Seeber Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 I haven't had time to create a new layout but here's my granddaughter from last year. She's a Speech Language Pathologist in a hospital in Palo Alto, California. The details are on the layout. She is still working with Covid-19 patients who lose their ability to swallow and talk after enduring intubation for weeks at a time. She's my Hero! I just did a double-take! This is the same as the current layout we are working on in September's Bootcamp. :-)
Rene Marker Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 These layouts are both 10 years old. One about me and one about my mother (math teacher). I was an accountant and loved spreadsheets... still do! Both layouts used kits I received for free for being on a Creative Team for the designer. The requirement was to do a layout, post it publicly and promote the kits.
Colin Hooson Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 I know I've only just begun scrapbooking by doing the Bootcamp so I thought I'd give this challenge a go
