March Scravenger Hunt Challenge

I am offering you a scavenger hunt where you have to find some elements and combine them to create a layout or a project. Are you up to the challenge? Although you don't have to create those elements, you also have that option, so either you use what you have downloaded or you can still make them from scratch. Your end result must include ALL of those elements ;). I added some links to tutorials (only accessible to our DIAMOND members) but you can also use elements created from scripts.

You can choose any theme you want, so what will you create with those elements?

All the objects for the scavanger hunt were created by me, myself and I alone. Yeppers it's all my fault. <giggles>

 

Lined paper - guilty of doing it myself                       Scribbled text- guilty of making that too

 

2 paper flowers - yeppers  I grew them myself         Shaped paper clip - goofed and used one I made then made yours

 

1 round photo of a stranger -  Herma collection         Bottlecap -  followed Cassel's lesson

 

Sticker - a combo of element and planes in an old tube.  Only took me three days of trial and error to finish all of this.

 

Cassel, one question?  How do you save the things you make to use in a kit? I first saved them all as jpg then as png. When I opened  them they all had a white background. I tried a gif but the quality was not good enough. I then used them all from the psp image for this one I am posting.

 

I feel I have learned a lot.  Thanks for this challenge.

nice Work Dorothy, well done, saving anything you make as an element has to be a Png, or if it is multi layered  save as psp, once you save it as a jpeg you would need to extract it  and then save as a png.  Papers  are the only things I save as a jpeg and finished projects.  If you have your picture still as a psp and want to recover/save each element as a png, klk on the item / klk copy / klk paste as new image them save that element as a png.  Hope this helps

As I work my way through scanning and archiving my mother's picture and memento collection, I ran across a Mother's Day card I made around 55 years ago. The note was the "cover letter." The large flower was on the inside across from a meticulously copied poem. The smaller flower was on the back.

 

After saving my allowance, I gave her the statue for another Mother's Day maybe a couple of years later.

 

I picked up the plaque in January. It was a random purchase to let her know she is still special. The Dr. Pepper bottle cap is there because that has always been her favorite drink, although today it is Diet Dr. Pepper.

This challenge reminded me of a school project, so I created a virtual desktop where all this things I had collected could be shown to the teacher.

 

Do you remember Clippy the Microsoft Office Assistant from the 1990's that everyone loved to hate? The round picture is actually a section of a beautiful Haida carving found at the Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver. The sticker page I got from my grandkids.

 

This was a fun project. Thanks for arranging it.

Those projects are great and sooooooooo different from each other. It is amazing that they all start with the same prompts. Everyone makes it unique!

This is my scavenger hunt. The photo is of my friend Jenn and myself ... I was trying to suck my tummy in but it didn't work, LOL! I used papers from a Pixel Scrapper kit and the layout by Elif Sahin ... slightly modified. Thanks for takin a peek!

I've been struggling for some days to come up with a layout for this challenge. Colors, templates, I've tried so many different things, and nothing was pleasing me. Finally, yesterday, I was able to finish it!

Beautiful work dear Cristina! You have kept it simple and thus very effective. Although I can admire complex pages I am consistently drawn to simplicity. I like to showcase the photo/image and often times the more complex pages overwhelm what should be the focus ... just my opinion ... of course, LOL! <3

I tend to create pages with fewer embellishments (maybe because I don't know what to do with them LOL ), and this was a challenge having to add all these elements. That's why I combined the Round Photo with the Bottlecap and the Flower with the Sticker. But that's is why is called Challenge! :)
