Lynda DiGregor
I've been working my way through the labs and I've made it to Lab 10-01. Really enjoyed making clocks so I thought I'd share two of them.

Cassel
Lynda, you are having fun! It is amazing how the same tutorial will yield such different results when the user adds their own personal touch. I see you added some work in turning the digits on the right side for the traditional clock face! Good work.
Lynda DiGregor
Thanks Carole, It took a minute to figure out how to get the numbers right side up but other tutorials helped me figure it out. You are right, I am having fun with these labs.. :-)
trish williams
we need a tutorial on reversing those numbers I worked out what was needed and the only way I could turn them was putting each on a layer, but only half the clock seemed to go right, so a tutorial please. xx
trish williams
NIce Clock Linda well done posting these again as they should be on this page I guess.
Cassel
In order to get the digits in the "right order", you would have to turn them individually by 180 degrees, while keeping them on the same line.
trish williams
TURN ALL OF THEM 180 I turn each one in increments , I think it was fliping them that cause the problem 9-12 and i-3 were ok also the 6 it was the rest I could work out what they were doing the same principle didnt seem to work for them . Cassel
You would ONLY turn the digits from 4 to 8. You don't touch the others. Did you try that?

Lynda DiGregor
If you arrange the 4,5,6 and 7 as illustrated in red ,before you turn it into a square the numbers will be in the correct position.
mireille
ERRATA : There was an error on my previous message. Here, the corrected version. Trish, I found the trick. Once the numbers are done, do it like this: 1 horizontal mirror as Carole recommends 2 select the numbers 4-5-6-7-8 and turn the selection into a layer 3 remove the digits 4-5-6-7-8 on the horizontal mirror layer and then make vertical mirror (this layer is the base) 4 layer the numbers 4-5-6-7-8 and turn the selection into a layer for each digit 5 on each layer make image flip horizontal 6 When finished, merge layers 7 copy this layer on a layer 2400x2400 8 distortion effects polar coordinates That’s it, it’s magic despite a little work upstream!! Cassel
Sometimes, when I choose a tutorial, I wonder if the members are going to find some use for it. I am always surprised! I guess this clock one was quite popular! And the lace!
mireille
Annie, your clock is very realistic and I like it very much, the background too. Moreover, you have surpassed us in terms of the positioning of the numbers relative to ours. The hand clock are very well done.
Annie Tobin
Cassel, I do love these tuts and what I find most fascinating about the antique lace is the rustic, antique appearance of the finished project! Thank you very much.
Annie Tobin
Thank you very much Mireille!
