DeLoris Musick Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 Thank you Michele! My orthopedic surgeon would not be happy with me if he knew some days I am on my computer most of the day! LOL Big Hugs, DeLoris
Royanne Hewko Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 DeLoris, you are such an inspiration your work is lovely. Please keep sharing I really enjoy getting more ideas. Our granddaughter started playschool. I used Cass Chalk texture for the writing and apple. I used my bestest script clip to it. I make my frames/borders and then pick the paper from the kit and clip the paper to the frame and I am done. I used sticker detail, scrapbook campus, for the sticker effect round "playschool"
DeLoris Musick Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Thank you Royanne. Your page is darling! She will love this when she is an adult. Do you make photobooks? I love doing them and have them printed at Shutterfly. Then I make a slideshow, add music and make movies of them. So we have the books and the movies (to watch on tv). It's FUN! I do a family book every year. Hugs, DeLoris
Michele Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Royanne, I'll bet your granddaughter loves this. She will absolutely cherish it as an adult. DeLoris, your slideshows are a great way to showcase your prolific scrapbooking projects! ~ Michele
Cristina Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Royanne, your layout is great and Ally Lynn is a lovely and sweet young lady. <3 DeLoris, your photobooks/movies are really good and a great way to keep the family memories
DeLoris Musick Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Thank you ladies! I love my slideshows. I play them on TV quite often and expesically at "family times". This is why I'm soo excited about doing a calendar. I've never done one before. Carole may create a calendar monster too!!! Hugs, DeLoris
Cristina Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Lately, I have been very slow in creating a layout... It takes days since I have something that I like... Meanwhile, I am watching many of Cassel's video tutorials. But finally, I was able to finish the page I made to practice the Lab8-M11 tutorials: Greek key pattern, Sprinkles and Tag Shape. From Cassel: Wood Letter Script; Adhesive Tape Script; String Picture Tube; Lined paper and Notebook Page (tutorials) Fonts: KG Arrows, French Script MT and Courtney I think the next pages will be for the Up-to-Date Challenge
AprilDawn Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 Royanne, the page with your granddaughter is just lovely. Cristina you have created a great page using the tutorials from Lab 8-11 and all the other elements... the tag is so cute! best wishes to you both, Dawn.
DeLoris Musick Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 Carole sent out an email asking about our pets. I'm sooo sorry she lost Butterscotch. :( Pets are our children too. I love my Heidi and she is such a blessing to me. I buy her toys, but she prefers the cardboard boxes they come in better. I have started decorating for Christmas (I'm just in the mood NOW! LOL) and when I emptied the lights out of the container they were in, Heidi took it over. I'm going to move it into my office and replace the cardboard box that is in there. It looks better! I think Heidi just likes the paper towels that is in it to snuggle into and nap. I used Karen of Snickerdoodle Designs This Is Me November Collection to make another page for my yearly photo book. Hugs, DeLoris
Cristina Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 Dawn, thank you so much for the words of encouragement! <3 DeLoris, this layout is very nice, and Heidi is so cute!
DeLoris Musick Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 Thank you Cristina! She's my baby! Hugs, DeLoris
Marlene Lingham Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 I have been waiting for the "Overflow" video to be available, now excited to have a go. I have attempted two photos, one like the girl that was the last item in the video and a photo of the Pentecost River in the Kimberley. The frames in that one were a colour taken from the photo and then I added noise of different levels to each one, then adjusted the brightness as well to give a bit of contrast. The other frames were two different gradients. I thought the process was reasonably easy, however I did have problems deciding what I wanted to overflow. I have a couple of other photos I might try with, but will probably look at the video again first. This is a great effect, I can think of lots of ways to use it.
DeLoris Musick Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Carole posted in Facebook to make something we were thankful for in November. Here is what I made. I also redid it to fit my Facebook cover.
DeLoris Musick Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I downloaded some brushes and shared them on Facebook. You can get the links there. While playing with them, I made this and thought I'd share it with you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/xyz8jmisvd7ab5w/DSE-Merry%20Christmas%20Elf.png?dl=0 Hugs, DeLoris
