Here is the next Word challenge for you.

In September the word will be HAND(S). You might refer to actual hands of the kids, holding hands, even hands exchanging rings in a wedding ceremony, but you can also use some expressions like "lending a hand" or "hands-on" or "hand-me downs". What "hand" project would you have to share?

Are you up to the challenge? Post your projects in this thread (it can be older projects you did or recent ones; it does not matter) or, if you want, our PSP Scrapbook Showcase pinboard on Pinterest is always there to showcase what is being shared in the Campus (if you need an invite, let me know). Or you can post it in our Facebook group.

Our granddaughter made the best turkey out of her hand prints.   I scanned it as a JPG file and used it on our 2014 Thanksgiving family picture.  I created the mask with a soft brush on the outer areas.  I used a lot of blending to get the effect I wanted.   I used a larger drop shadow to project the floating of the leaves.   I used FFF Tusj font, free from dafont.   I really liked the effect it gave.  I followed Cassel's Master Class Text Tool.   I drew an eclipse around the mask and applied the text to path.  I had some Turkey "foot prints" and placed them on the page.

Scrapping is new to me and I have trouble deciding what kind of embellishments to add. This CC photo was originally shot in black and white and I think it makes a powerful image that way. So I chose very pale background colors and recolored the buttons to black and white. Using the tube, I placed flowers around 3 sides (the 4th side open for printing/binding). I like the soft colors of the flowers and how they enhance the black and white of the photo. I call it done. Can anyone offer an idea as to how to make it better? Ribbons? Scalloped edges? Thank you.

Royanne, your layout is so nice and the turkey made of your granddaughter's hands is just perfect. Lovely layout.

Susan, I agree with Michele, your page is perfect the way it is and doesn't need anything else... For me, too many embellishments take the focus away from the photo, but this is my point of view...everyone has a different style... this is a lovely page.

The photo I had was very small and not the best, but it was the only one that would be suitable for the challenge, so I enlarged it, used some filters and made this layout.

Papers based on Velveteen Texture tutorial and Polkadots... the last one is a mixture of everything I learned with Cassel's tutorials.
