Cassel Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Show off what you are working on in March, be it a scrapbook page, a tutorial, or anything else you want We are curious and want to see, and get inspire 1
AprilDawn Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 have been playing with Cassel's Glitter scripts.... also I used an old glitter pattern that I did in another program quite some time ago for the background paper.... I wanted to make a Thinking of You card to send via email and this is what I came up with. The pansy image was free from the Graphics Fairy.... I used Cassels' corner punch set D..... and the bow and ribbon made with a purchased script from Joannes Digital Design... . I haven't done a lot with glitters so I thought I would give it a try. Dawn. 1
DeLoris Musick Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 I just finished watching Carole's class on snow, frost and ice. She did an amazing job and I learned a LOT! I did manage to do one picture during her class. I did not scrap it out, because I wanted you to see the detail of the picture. That was sooo much fun and I snagged up her Ice Texture Script too! It is a fantastic script! Thank you for an interesting class! Hugs, DeLoris 1
Michele Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 I was inspired by the picture tubes webinar. Grass, dirt, bushes, and tree all from picture tubes. 1
AprilDawn Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Hi Deloris... a very nice effect on your photo.. Hello Michele... a cute layout ... the picture tubes can be used to a very nice effect can't they... I like what you achieved! I am still enjoying making up cards for print or emailing... here is one I have just finished..... I have used a freebie photo that I have used before but each time I do use it I try to have it look a bit different and I added a bubble effect on the photo to hopefully help it look as if it is encased..... I made the daisy flower paper and I used Cassel's Burnt edge script on it. The oval frame for photo was made with the help of Cassel's Edge Font 2 letter n and I then added Blue Spruce texture and a gradient to it to give the effect I wanted.... I also used Cassel's new Bow13 sample freebie of bow and lace.. I changed the colour white to what you see below.... also used Cassel's Custom Kit Ribbon Script and PSP Flower tube -01 for the flowers. Cassel I really like how your new Bow13 sample freebie turned out so I will be buying the script this week. Thanks for the freebie! I was aiming for a Vintage style theme for this card... hopefully I have achieved it. Dawn. 1
Michele Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Dawn, you card is absolutely stunning! I could comment on each element, but we'd be here all night. But I do have to ask how you achieved the bubble effect. It totally looks like it's encased. This is today's pic for my gaming group. I wanted to share how great Cassel's HeartChain tube looks. I used it with the VectorTube script to make the frame. Then just for the heck of it I decided to try it on some text. Woo-hoo, it worked. Sometimes I just have to play around to discover something new. 1
DeLoris Musick Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 I thought I added this, but I must not have done it correctly. My grandson went to COSI. It is a science museum in Columbus, Ohio. This is the 1st page I did of his visit for my 2018 family book. 1
Sheila Hogg Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Lovely work ladies. I am busy making bunting for a wedding so do not have much time to play with PSP and then there are favour boxes to do. Already done over a 100 wedding invitations so think I will go and have a lie down. Sheila x 1
AprilDawn Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Hello Michele, thanks so much for your kind words on my card I do appreciate it..... Your project is beautiful! the effect of that tube on your text is also stunning! I love how it looks... best wishes, Dawn. 1
Michele Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Thanks, Sheila and Dawn for the kind words of encouragement. Sheila, you are a very generous person; I don't think I could do all you are doing for the wedding. I'm sure it will all be beautiful. DeLoris, I hope your grandson didn't fly too close to the sun. :) Just having a little fun with Cassel's bird cage preset shapes. ~ Michele 1
AprilDawn Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Hello Michele, I love your page... it is so cute!... great idea for Cassel's bird cage preset shapes. best of wishes, Dawn. 1
AprilDawn Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 just finished another birthday card... this one is also for emailing. ...both the Lace and the floral heart shape we done with photoshop brushes... one is called Lace by roula33 and the other Suddenly Spring by Gvalkyrie and I downloaded them from a site called My Photoshop Brushes quite some time ago..... the roses were created from a purchased PSD file called watercolour roses from Joannes Digital Design... the rose paper is from a purchased kit and as far as I know is no longer available as the site has closed. I made use of glitter in this card for the lace and borders and heart shape.... Dawn. 1
Michele Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 That's lovely, Dawn. Remind me to tell you when my birthday is. LOL I'll have to check out that site, but I think they're both available on Deviant Art, too. I've started to play around making my own papers. This was the project I made for today's theme for my gaming group. The background is actually two different papers I made using the kaleidoscope effect and seamless tiling. I put a plain white layer beneath them and lowered the opacity of both to get very light pastel colors. I used one of Cassel's corner brushes and did some beveling for the frames after flood filling them with the a merged copy of both of my papers with the white layer. The clipart is from Freepik and I erased the background using Clipping Magic. It does a much better job than I do with intricate designs. One day I hope to refine my methods so I can do them myself. 1
AprilDawn Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Thank you Michele for liking my card.... it was a new style i tried ...... along with your birdcage project your Easter Pastels also is so cute! . .. i like the way your paper turned out. it can be real fun creating our own papers. i haven't done a lot with the kaleidoscope effect, must play with the idea a bit more.... hope you enjoy making more new papers. Dawn. 1
Guest Guest Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 I have been working on one of the basic course and managed to do this. I am enjoying it but I am having problems with this Forum and adding the pictures. I hope this works for me now...
Cassel Posted March 21, 2018 Author Posted March 21, 2018 Hi Anne, it looks like you managed to post the picture (cute one too). If you are still unsure how to post images, here is a tutorial: https://scrapbookcampus.com/Community/topic/how-to-post-a-picture-in-the-forum/ 1
Sheila Hogg Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Its nothing PSP related but I did use it for the insert. Its now safe to post the Wedding invitation I did for my Grandsons wedding this coming May. I embossed the card, diecut the wording, mat rose and bud which I formed and glued. I am now sewing the bunting. TFL. Sheila x
Michele Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Absolutely gorgeous, Sheila. You did a beautiful job. 1
Sheila Hogg Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Thank you Michelle, it was pretty intense work in the end as I had a little production line going on so that they could be sent out. I made over a hundred invites altogether and I am glad to say, they were appreciated and liked very much. I wouldn't embark on such a project again though and will stick to making the odd card or two as and when I need them. Sheila x 1
AprilDawn Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Hello Anne... your page turned out really pretty. look forward to seeing more of your projects. Hello Sheila , so glad all your work was appreciated.... the invitations look beautiful... I love the embossing on the card and the flowers you have made are adorable... they take some time to do don't they ( I make flowers also) but the result is so effective and the smile it can put on the face of the one who receives it.. is worth it ... Well done to you for having made 100 of them for this special occasion. Dawn. 1
Britt Marie Halonen Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 My try at the bird Cage, the tubes are mine from a course many years ago 1
Britt Marie Halonen Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Wanted to hang something on a string, so I tried With this alpha. The eggs are made With Filter Forge. And I made a mistake With the Norwegian spelling, I was lazy - just added an Arrow With a k. Wish you all a peaceful Easter time. 1
Britt Marie Halonen Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I have just tried 2 of Your short tutorials, the postage stamp and the lino pattern. My hands are a bit shaky, so placing the Eraser tool right at the corners was tricky, I sure will try that one again. 1
Sheila Hogg Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Lovely work ladies. The diversity of ideas is great to see. Sheila x 1
Michele Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I used one floral background for all the elements in this. I can't believe how perfectly the kaleidoscope effect worked out with only a few random tries and then some tweaking. Sometimes I just can't find the right one and, like Cassel taught us, you can't go backwards when you're randomizing. For the frame, I cropped the original pic and applied a seamless tiling effect, then flood filled. Lots of beveling going on; I'm getting more courageous the more I learn. Great work, Britt! Love those poor birds stuck in the cage. 1
