This month we are having kids! Two does have delivered already. Three of the 5 lived. Have two more does pregnant. One is injured and will probably have to be put down after she gives birth. Really sad.
Milkshake was the first to deliver… of course in the middle of the night!

Love the card! Could you just add a shadow to the text to make it stand out more? Finally finished my last challenge! Took quite awhile. I knew I was going to use our Doxies, so I wanted a paper to go with them. It took me awhile to do the font as well. Too bad that life (dishes, going to the feed store, feeding out livestock, shoveling snow) has to get in the way of what I want to do! 🙂 Glad I am retired!! The pictures of our “kids” are drawings that my husband has done. You can see his work on Facebook @Cleaveland Indians Online. I may be prejudged, but I think he’s pretty good!
I have enjoyed seeing everyone’s creations! Very fun and there is so much talent out there!

Carole,
Thank you for the extra help. I don’t think I would ever have solved that problem!I’ve had a lot of fun learning how to make my own papers and masks so I can make pages like this one! Course, it helps to have such a great subject! My paper was made from the photo on the right.
Christina Hamlin, I believe it’s the placement of your solid color layer. It needs to be above the photo you’re taking your dots from. Use the little eyeball to make it visible or hidden..
With eye dropper, it does change to the pink. As soon as I click B, it reverts to yesterday’s dark red.
Yes, Carole, I had done that “for real”, but for the screen shot I hadn’t. I just did it again with the same results. The brush has a memory that I don’t want! :-/
I’ve done some screen shots. The first shows that I had my dropper settings right, but for the second one, all I had done is use the b key and you can see the color is not the pick I had selected
Oh, rats, another problem…
When I switch between the dropper and the brush, the brush retains the color last used. Not sure how to change that option. It’s done that for a long time, but I never was switching back and forth so it wasn’t too big of an annoyance.Teri
Challenge 5
I couldn’t find a heart cut out so I used a brush and added color instead. I made my frame. I used pre-designed papers to save time. My original thought was to use two papers, a darker one underneath, but couldn’t figure out how to place the layers to do that with the mask. I rather like the end result even if it isn’t quite what I planned. 🙂YEAH!!That was it!
I appreciate your patience!
Teri
@cassel Carole, I definitely have a problem. I went back to the tutorial. In it you can see the pattern i the swatch box. In my screen shots, the swatch doesn’t show. It appears transparent. I checked the image and made sure it did not have any transparent layers. Something in my settings must not be right or I am missing a step. You can see the image I am using for the pattern swatch.
Guess I need to solve this problem before I can work on any more challenges. 🙁
Thanks for the help.
Suggestions on the size And resolution? I do size my transparent “paper” at 3600×3600 and 300.
Thank you
Teri
@cassel
I see to have a problem with sizing of my patterns. I thought I watched carefully for both the plaid and the kalioscope but I think they are so small they hardly appear at all. I even tried to put a solid background behind the kaleidoscope but it’s still too faint. Aarrgghh!!

Completed my second try of day 2 and it went so much better. I’ve done digital scrapbooking before but through MyMemories.com and I’ve accumulated a bunch of elements and embellishments, most for free!
The second try for day 1’s challenge went so much better!
@Cassel I solved my PICK problem! One the pick toolbar, the MODE was not set to scale. Works perfectly now. Don’t know how I mess these things up. I think I know what I did wrong with my plaid and the second try on that is coming up next.
Managed to complete day 2 of the challenge last night but didn’t upload. I spent a lot of time going back to day 1’s tutorial! I think I’ll redo them both (days 1 & 2) for practice. I also want to redo my plaid paper!!
@cassel, for some reason I couldn’t resize using my pick tool. I did for day one so I was disappointed when I couldn’t. I could move it and distort, but not resize.
I am really enjoying these lessons and challenges. Thanks
No, I wasn’t, but they weren’t showing up on the program menus and even if I tried them, they wouldn’t work (which doesn’t make sense) They are there now and seem to work just fine.
Carole, I checked the menus and the shortcuts I needed weren’t there. (I use X9 now, btw) I reset all of my menus, etc and now they all show up. They should have worked before, but just didn’t. I think it will be a lot easier now. Thanks. Waiting on my new challenge for today!
Registered today and got my 1st “Love” challenge as well. My version of PSP doesn’t seem to have the control D or F so it took a long time to locate those functions, and then remember them each time I needed them! <grin> Finally finished. I enjoyed the challenge of the “lesson”.
Just finished the PSP Mask webinar and thought I’d sign up for the challenge, Looking forward to learning more about using my program. Photos are selected and waiting in a separate folder. Looking forward to tomorrow’s email.
