Hello Helen! I’m glad to meet you. I’m from the U.S. on the east coast as well. I guess we’re in the same time zone. I really am enjoying all the tutorials here! There are so many to choose from. I love the detail of all of the instructions and videos. And the most wonderful thing is being able to learn at my own pace. Sometimes life circumstances get in the way! Luckily they just slow us down a little. I just can’t sing enough praise for the Campus!
I find that I most frequently remove power lines from photos. I usually do that with the clone tool. I’m not very good at extracting people yet. I definitely need lots more practice! I found this photo I made in the backyard overlooking the neighbor’s hay field. The red clover were blooming and I thought they were so pretty. I never used the photo for anything because it had the power lines. Now I can use it!
E = Equinox
Alicia yours is beautiful! I spent all day on and off on mine but it’s rainy here so I couldn’t work outside. I tried to declutter mine but I don’t think I did too well. This has definitely been a challenge! I have learned so much. Now if I can just remember it all after I sleep…..
Never let it be said that we aren’t dainty on the farm! I finally created a doily!
I am so impressed with all these projects! Everyone has a completely different compilation of the various elements. All of you are so inspiring. I even managed to create a scalloped ribbon and I only had to watch the video twice. Here’s my Day 6 progress (minus the doily). I’m going to revisit that tonight. I did incorporate a chicken wire tube that Carole made. I thought it would fit mine better than the doily.
Teri your doily looks fantastic! I didn’t have much luck with the doily test. I could create the pattern but I got lost in the layers and selections. I did manage to create a lacy looking circle. I tried twice but I’m no closer than I was. My mule and rooster said they didn’t mind so it’s not a total loss. Here’s an example of what I did create.
Here’s my Day 4 progress! I really had fun with this. Jnet I love yours! I wanted to do a painted wood but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. I need to watch the tutorial again.
Amidst numerous interruptions, I finally managed to create a wooden circle. I used a .png file from Clipartmax. I stumbled upon it when I was searching for something to put on my wooden circle. I used the soft light selection and it seemed to have blended well with the wood. I’m definitely going to try out different effects later tonight. I am really enjoying this challenge.
Everyone’s designs look fantastic! I am so glad we had this challenge. I’ve definitely picked up lots of useful information. The frame I made looks really rustic but I think it will work great for my country style background. I am so ready for the blooming flowers!
I think I’ve got the hang of it now! I’m looking forward to learning more tomorrow.
Carol, I did reduce the size some. I don’t think it was near enough though. I’m going to watch the tutorial again and have another go at drawing. My eyes aren’t what they used to be and I can see the large ones better LOL! Thank you for the help. I’m learning so much!
This is fun! I’m not very good at drawing with a mouse, but I did manage to create a simple pattern. The photo I had picked out to use doesn’t really go with my background pattern. I’ll have to choose another I guess. Everyone’s looks wonderful!!!
Hello everyone! I finally heard from tech support and they suggested that I should reset my workspace. So I had to go through all the tweaks and adjustments I made again. I needed the practice anyway. I’m still struggling with the materials palette. If I get color on anything it’s a fortunate accident on my part. I did have a go at the string art tutorial. That was an excellent lesson. I had no idea I could do that. I’m definitely going to look at that again. I absolutely love the boat scene that Carol did. That was AMAZING!
I must make a confession. I am a fontaholic too! Can I join the support group too?
Michele, I love your cherry blossoms! I’m ready for Spring too (although I’m not enjoying the pollen that comes with it). The dogwood trees are starting to bloom around here, along with the pear trees and apple trees.
I’ve been struggling with my software also. I finally put in a ticket to tech support. I haven’t heard back from them yet but I’m stumbling upon some workarounds so I’m making a little progress. I’m working my way through the intermediate tutorials. When I get a little better I’m going to try The Lab. I created a plaid texture from one tutorial and I made a somewhat metal textured text. I played around with patterns and the brush tool. I’m kind of getting the hang of it now.
Hello everyone! Happy April to you. My how time does fly (especially when I’m scrapbooking). I’ve finished Module 4 and 5 finally. Sometimes it’s hard to chisel out time for learning new things. I’ve definitely had fun. Now I just need to see where I need to go from here.
Denis I love your nature photos! You did a remarkable job with them!
Dawn your card is wonderful. I know your friend was thrilled when she received it.
Thank you Michele for the compliment on my photo. I can’t take credit for it though. His Grandpa shared it with me and I just loved it. I’m definitely not a photographer. I still have to work on that!
I’ve played around with Module 3 now and I’m progressing slowly. I learn so much by going through these tutorials. I’m getting a little more at ease with the tools and workspace. Anyway, here’s my trial and error for Module 3.
Hello to all! I’m slowly working my way through the Basic Scrapbook course. I have learned so much already! I’m about to get my workspace and file system sorted out. I must confess, I have to watch the videos several times before it sinks in. Here’s my test of Module 2. It’s simplistic I know, but I am progressing!
Wow! Everyone’s projects are amazing! I’m at the tail end of the boot camp I know, but I’m definitely signing up for the next one. I’m slowly learning my way around. I’m a little rusty I fear. I did manage to scrapbook a photo of my grandson Jimi.
