Annie I’m so sorry to hear about your troubles. I, like you, ended up having to uninstall 2018 and X7. They simply wouldn’t work anymore. I didn’t have much installed so I got lucky with that. Even though you lost a lot stuff, you have still managed to present with a glorious garden!! You are definitely living up to your Superfan status.
Outstanding work Barb! The colors really do stand out in both of your images.
Lynda, my hats off to you for your feather work! I love all the different colorations.
I found another easy tutorial that might interest you. I had lots of fun with it and it is so easy to do!! It’s called Linoleum and it’s in the Intermediate Tutorials as well. I loved it anyway, maybe it’s the Hippie coming out in me LOL!
Lynda, I love your arrows! That reminds me, I had filed that one away to retry at a later date. My internet keeps going out on me so I didn’t get to say where I found the tutorial at. They must be working on the lines around here somewhere. Every time the wind blows it brings a limb down on the lines somewhere LOL!
Trish I love all your experiments! They are such a variety of different effects. I agree with you. I wish I could achieve a more realistic looking glass. I’ve played with it some but I didn’t get the results I wanted. Maybe the next Webinar can be about glass!!
Lynda your Fancy Wheels are amazing! I’m like you, I was delighted to learn about the History Palette. I just love going through the basic tutorials. I learn something new with every one that I do. You can add my thank you to Carole as well!
Annie and Sue, you both are off to a great start!! Very impressive indeed.
I am a little confused though. I registered for this challenge but I didn’t get any email indicating the start like I did with the Publish It Challenge. I wonder if I should register again? I wasn’t at the Campus when ya’ll created last years Double Take so I’m clueless how to start.
I have finally learned enough to finally be able to start attempting the Jewelry Making tutorial. The gemstone kit is absolutely delightful. Carole outdid herself on them. Ya’ll have to take a look at them. They are a must have item for scrapbooking!
Awesome adventure Annie! I love what you’ve done with the tutorials. I just have one question, what did you find at the “X” spot? Was it a priceless treasure?
I finally got around to grabbing the Flower Brushes/Punches that Carole made. They are just as fantastic as the other ones I had previously purchased. I did the larger one as a brush and the smaller one with the eraser tool. They are just amazing!
I also took it upon myself to give myself an award LOL! Actually, I found the amazing Award Ribbon script and I just had to have it. I stink at ribbons and bows right but I still want to use them. I’ll still keep trying to create them though. Thank you Carole for making it easy for us that are ribbon challenged!
Carole, we’re not going to get in trouble for feeding all this ice cream to Gabriel are we? I figure he’s probably bouncing off the walls by now LOL!
Bonnie this is your best one yet!! I love the puzzle photo. Maybe you could make Gabriel broccoli flavored ice cream!
Annie you’re a delight! I love what you did with the tutorial. Wasn’t it fun to just be whimsical for a while? I’ve got to go back and make more feathers!
Michelle it’s great to see you back! Well wishes to you from me. I love your cards you have created for celebrating all those birthdays. Each one is so unique! I’ve definitely got to pick up those new punches soon.
I went through the Feather tutorial the other day and I just had to share my results here. I learned several new tricks from it. Ya’ll got to check it out!
Bonnie and Libera, you guys are so amazing! This little guy definitely knows how to have a good time.
I’ve been busy lately making lollipops, candies, cookies and cakes! Then wrapping them in plastic. I learned so much from all those tutorials and the best part is I didn’t gain a pound!
Lynda I love your hand drawn alphas! I tried my hand at them, but I ended up filing those away for more practice at a later date. I also love the look on the little boys face in your back to school page. That’s not a good way to start a new year of school. Maybe the girl will tutor him LOL!
Trish you’ve created some fantastic backgrounds! The frosty one is fantastic. I really like the out of bounds effect in the Free Spirit image.
I’m looking forward to this challenge! I always learn so many new things when I participate in them. Now I just have to figure out what I want to feature in my pages. I need to take some photos, lots of them it sounds like!
Libera the tutorials for the Brush Variance tool is definitely on the blog. There are 2 tutorials there. I keep forgetting about all those tutorials. Carole explains the various settings you can use in great detail. It really helped me a lot. I recommend them highly!
Technically I started a project in July but I didn’t finish it until August. I created the Shadow Box in the intermediate tutorials. Of course it took me a while to create the various treasures that were to be displayed. I used the Glass Marble, Bottlecap and License Plate tutorials as well. I’m slowly learning how to create elements!!
Bonnie! Thank you for explaining Pickleball. I had never heard of it. Did they originally play this game with pickles? I was just wondering how it got it’s name. I’m going to see if I can train my dog to play Pickleball with me. It looks like lots of fun!
You guys always come up with such creative ideas! I love all of them! I just adore the look on Gabriel’s face. He looks like he is really enjoying that ice cream. I really enjoyed this challenge. It gave me a chance to utilize the lessons that Carole has shared with us. Thank you Carole!!
Dawn, thank you so much for your encouraging comment! I had completely forgotten about the Sheilsoft Script bundle that I picked up a while back. All the filters I used was in that bundle. I have to shout out a big Thank You to Carole again. She has them listed in the Resources section. If it hadn’t been for Carole I wouldn’t even know they existed.
Annie, overall I’m happy with the 2020 version of PSP. There are some differences with the Text tool but I’m about to get that sorted out. The brushes seem to be working better and slightly faster than before. I do get a bad slow down in the software when I first choose a tool that uses the brushes I have loaded. Perhaps I have too many brushes loaded LOL! I wish we had a brush management program like the fonts have. There are some really nice new brushes that I haven’t explored to any depth but I really like them. Also there are new gradients and patterns as well. Lots of stuff to play with! The GRFX Studio is awesome and I’ve definitely got to play with it some more. The background paper for the lighthouse was created with it. I’m not a photographer so I can’t really provide much input from their side of things, but this version seems to be geared toward that aspect. I’ll have to practice some more to get beyond amateur.
I know they say simple minds, simple pleasures. I’m living proof of that! I just had to share another experiment that I learned from Carole. I watched the Brush Variance tutorials 1 and 2 and I learned how to make CHEESE!! I’m a happy camper now!
Hello to all my friends at the Scrapbook Campus! I’m so sorry to have been away so long. I upgraded my PSP to 2020 and I’ve been having to make some adjustments to the way I work. I was doing okay until Windows got a major update and it knocked everything out of whack for a while on my machine. I still can’t get Pic To Painting to work on my computer but I’m very impressed with the results you guys are getting. I played around with some filters that I have and somewhat created the effect. I’m happy with it anyway!
Outstanding work all of you! Now I want to go to the beach and eat ice cream until I pop!
Oh what fun! Bonnie, I love that cow bench. I need one like that. Libera the delicious looking letters are fantastic.
I had a lot of fun creating ice cream cones. The only problem is I keep having to stop and eat ice cream!
Lynda, I love your Springfield no kit scrap page! It really tells a story.
Annie, you are priceless! We’re all getting a good art education because of you. Thank you for featuring the wonderful artist.
I’ve finally managed to work my way through the Lab for now. Of course there are still so many tutorials left to explore. I really am so thankful that someone (Carole) took the time to make all of them. I thought I would upload one of my checklist pages to show some of my creations. I’m such a methodical worker. Someday I dream of being a freeform worker LOL!
I seem to have missed a lot of stuff! I’ve been busy going through the tutorials and I haven’t checked in for a few days. I see Superfan Annie has continued to inspire me with your wonderful creations. Thank you for sharing the information about Tia Boon Sim. Trish I just love those textures! They are so detailed. Lynda, I’m always awed by your creative spin on the tutorials. I’m still not comfortable with the Master Classes. I think I need to learn more before I tackle them. I did manage to kind of create a no kit scrap from several tutorials that I could do. One was the Photo Booth Frame, another the Hand Doodle Frame, scalloped border, button 1 and button 2.
Annie I love your stained glass looking flowers! Excellent work on them!
Lynda all of your no kit scraps are just fantastic! You definitely have mastered that master class!
Lynda, I really love your panorama! That’s beautiful. I’ve never attempted a panorama. If I increase my skills a little I might attempt it sometime in the future.
Superfan Annie I adore your work too! You are so fast. I can’t keep up with you!!
I’ve been splitting my time between learning more and processing garden vegetables. I spent all day today making salsa that I’m going to force on anyone that comes through front door.
My PSP seems to be fighting me on some of the tutorials. Sometimes I can’t make the selections as shown in the tutes and changing my Brush Variance almost locks down the application. Just small glitches, but really annoying. Anyway, I’m still learning and that’s what counts. I still love the software!
Trish that image is precious! I see why you wanted to feature it. I’m thoroughly impressed with your frame. It’s fantastic!
I got a little sidetracked playing around with the Zig Zag script that Carole created. It’s so amazing! It even worked on a cutout ribbon and one with a crocheted lace border. My favorite part is just watcing it work all on its own.
I found a couple of not so great photos of my uncooperative dog. I decided to do a small page just so I could use them. Animals are soooooo difficult to photograph.
Last, but not least, I learned a new gardening trick! It’s seems I have a poacher in the garden and it’s getting my tomatoes. I’ve encountered it twice now. Both times it came running towards me. I learned really quickly how to outrun him!
