Love the photos you used Cristina, you obviously have an eye for colour, the photos compliment the quick pages and vice versa. Beautiful.
Thank you Cristina for your lovely comment. It has been a pleasurable new journey for me, as I’m relevantly new to scrapbooking. Taking my photographs into the realms of scrapbooking. Cassel I must say you are a diligent, precise and committed teacher and user of PSP and all that is scrapbooking in the digital world. Your tutorials are detailed and easy to follow. Here, I used several tutorials from the creative scrap. translucent envelope, stitching and tag. I’ve loved all the postings, awesome work everyone! I still have a long way to go in mastering the art of creating a page, but I shall work on it, as the results are rewarding.
Sorry that it’s the last day of the challenge. All the pages have been fun, and inspiring, with endless possibilities. I used the last template to create a front cover for my ‘As seen through the horses ears’ calendar. I shall then use a photo for each month of the year. I won’t be short of templates or ideas that’s for sure. Thank you Cassel.
I look forward to opening my email each morning to see what you have sent. Your quick pages are very creative, and inspire one to delve into their photo albums. For a change I used one of the quick pages. I used 3 photos, to make one to fit into the photo slot. Used the smart selection tool, eraser tool, and a mask to blend the perch.
Did you notice that I used just a hint of the reverse shadow trick? It does subtly enhance the papers.
Using a template is definitely a good idea. One less thing to think about, the layout can then be edited as I go along to my liking. Again, I’ve extracted all the flowers and the Kingfisher from photos which I have taken. I created the bouquets, by placing the flowers in a vase with a light backdrop, then extracted the flowers (as a cluster) to be used at any time for any project. I’m enjoying the challenge.
That is cool! Now I understand what you meant. I’ve slightly over exaggerated the reverse shadow a little, I agree, it does make it more realistic, and makes the stamped photo pop, so to speak. Had to remove the shadow from the top and left side of the stamp, as it was on a separate layer for the bottom right lift, and showed through a little. I’ll be implementing that in more of my projects now. Thank you, thank you Cassel that’s another awesome trick!
Thank you ever so much for the compliments. As for the reverse shadow I don’t quite understand what you mean, or how I would go about doing a reverse shadow. Please enlighten me. Thank you Sue.
Hi Cassel, I opted for the template, which as you can see I didn’t follow to the letter. November is when the Snowy Owls migrate from the far north, and make their appearance further south, where I can take shots of them. I used several techniques, made my own postage stamp, drew my own branch, cut out the owl and promoted her to a new layer, and changed the colour of the Month I would appreciate any constructive criticism from you. What would you have done differently using the original photo, which is the owl sitting on the straw bale?
I’ve only been a Diamond member for 5 days. Already, my imagination and skills have been stretched beyond it’s normal realms of creativity. All due to watching some of the tutorials these past few evenings. As for the doilies Cassel, well you really have excelled yourself, they are positively delightful. They compliment any layout, whether it’s an indoor activity or outdoor. I shall never look at another doily again in the same way, when I use them for serving plated delicacies. I shall be including at least one of them or may be all three to my wish list, meanwhile I shall make my own using your tutorial, which I’ve already glanced at.
Orbital Sander.
Yes I am a philatelist, since I was a child. I collected only British stamps and the Commonwealth. When my children were born I started a collection for each of them and we are still collecting. British Presentation Packs. You must take it up again, it’s a wonderful hobby. Introduce the grandchildren to stamp collecting, and one day they will thank you for it.
I bought some goodies yesterday, and I must say I’m delighted with them all. I had the lifted photo script on my wish list for a while, and just had to try it out last night with the freebie Alphas. You are most generous Cassel I use the stamp scripts a lot. These are not elaborate pieces of work, but effective.
Thank you Cristina and Cassel, I’m relatively new to the world of scrapbooking, but not PSP. Thanks to Cassel’s tutorials and store, I’ve expanded my graphic skills, incorporating my nature photos into a whole new dimension.
I submitted a scrapbook page as requested, chuffed to bits that it was selected for the gallery.
Thank you Dianne for your very kind words. It was Nell’s colour that inspired me to use the colours I did, and it went from there. I must admit the best views in the world in my opinion is between my Meg and Nell’s ears.
I recently bought the gold chain tubes. With summer on it’s way out I was looking back on some pics I took last year when we had a short Indian summer. And came up with this page. I like the use of the gold chains connecting the tags to the main photo.
Fantastic Judy! I particularly like the out of bounds flower one. I’m currently working on making a of set bird flash cards, like the one I posted. Categorizing bird of prey, finches, and warblers.
Lawnmower, leaf blower.
Thank you Dianne and Cassel for your kind comments on my merged photos.
I used a selection of flowers from my garden, using many techniques, like out of bounds, which I’m addicted to. Used Cassel lifted script, and freebies. To adorn my flowers.
Judy, your gardening post is absolutely delightful! I downloaded the free flash cards, and after a little thought, I used the photo of the Mountain Blue bird I took a few days ago to use as an example of a word which I have used quite often. Along with it’s meaning. Very apt I thought for the Mountain Bluebird. Cerulean.
I know the presentation was all about perspective, but Cassel did use the mask tool. These are two which I did quite some time ago, merging two photos together using the mask tool. In the fledged Robins photo, unless you look closely you can’t see where the two photos were merged together.
Botanical (Gardens), Botany
Labour: Labour pains, going into labour.
Hi Judy, I love your choice of colours in both pages you posted. Very bold, makes a statement. Very nice indeed. Watched the presentation over a cup of tea this evening, and thought I’d implement some of the techniques used to make this page. Using all my own photos again. (I think I’m getting the hang of this scrapbooking lark! hahaha.) Used one of the 12 templates Cassel gave the link too. Used the folded edge script from Cassel, and a free kit I found online.
Kicking. Both of mine kicked and kicked during pregnancy.
Using all my own photos, Cassel scripts, a Cassel freebe, and several tools in PSP this is what I came up with. To adorn winged predators large and small.
Thank you Dianne for you lovely comments. They are very much appreciated. I’m an amateur nature photographer. I’m not new to PSP, but I am new to the world of Scrap booking, found Cassell purely by chance. So have been incorporating scrap booking into my cards, and other projects.
Watched your presentation last weekend, used 2 of the templates, and 2 scripts, lifted photo, and ghost date to create two very different pages. Thank you.
