Hold on masterclass.  Paperclip.  I used the Pattern filled  shape tutorial for the word Robin,  overlay and texture from  a tutorial, and of course the  corner punches which I absolutely adore  using.  I’ve been working on Xmas cards, which I think   has come through in this project in the  colour scheme. But then  robins signify Xmas, along with red berries.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Thank you Annie.   I’m not a scrapbooker, and many know I like to keep my projects quite minimal.   I love scrolling through looking at all the projects. There is so much talent.</p>

September tut/tech challenge paperclip. More than one tutorial used in this page. Notebook edge, cutout effect (effects, 3D effects), Paint splatter, with a slight shadow, which I remember from one of the masterclasses a long time ago. Ruled paper, notebook paper with lifted corner and of course the paperclip.

Cassel’s freebie doily which I colourized using the paint brush technique, vector tube beads around photo, Cassel  corner punches. The papers I  created myself, along with the word frames and silhouette.

Carole, a preset would might be better than a script, saying that once I had written the text, the steps I used were few and simple,  2 guide  lines, and  the perspective tool.   Unless a script or presets would give more options like  wavy text tapering into the distance, to give perspective.  Now that would take more time to create manually.

I’m so pleased that I inspired you to  get into the Christmas spirit, even it was only to get it out of your system, until nearer the festive season Trish.   You made a beautiful festive  card.

Mask maker script, flower punch, character map, seamless tiling for the background paper, using the masked photo, effects, distortion effects, twirl, buttonize. For the text, I used the selection tool, promote to a new layer, in order to  make the letter B stand out. I read the quote online, and thought seeing as we are now in September and winter is looming around  the corner, it inspired me to  use a photo I took of a Blue Jay, around this time last year.

Michele, thank you yet again for your  kind comment.  I have been using the maskmaker script , with the photo mask script.  As I’ve said, I bought them quite some time ago, and only just started using them, as I like to make my own masks.  x

I  wrote the text on two separate layers, converted them to raster layers. I used the same size font for  both.   Pulled down a guide line, placed both text on  the guide line.  Using the perspective tool,  I narrowed the  one end.  I pulled down another guide line, and placed it above the  other guide line.  Using the perspective tool again I narrowed the letter L, until it sat on the top guide line, matching the  n in Sask.  The largest letters sat on the bottom guide line and the narrowest letters sat on the top guide line.

A script would be  such a time saver.  Although it was tedious, the end result was worth it.

Would you say it’s too early to be making Christmas cards?  I don’t. 🙂  The days are  getting noticeably   shorter. And I have  lots of cards to make.  Here’s one that  I will be printing, and posting, others will be sent via  email.

Here’s my day 6. I used the paper crease tutorial, to divide the  background. Changed all  the letters to red, used the picture tube script to create a neat rope. I stayed with the mask technique to place the photos inside the date and word. Character map was used on the heading, lifted photo tutorial. Instead of creating a grunge effect I created an overlay.  Placing the beads took the longest time to do.  Rotating, and then erasing either side for the rope to thread through, shadowing.

Day 5 of the double take challenge. I didn’t have to do much to create this page. I used the sky for the background paper at the bottom and added a subtle blinds texture. Perspective for the text. I didn’t have to crop the main photo as I took a panoramic shot of a section of the lake. In excess of 11 million water birds congregate here during the spring and then again in the autumn, en route to and from their breeding grounds. The framed photos are just a few of the species that can be seen there.

I bought the maskmaker script and the photomask script quite some ago, this evening I tried them out for the first time. I had to watch the maskmaker tutorial first. Both scripts are awesome, I will be using them a lot more. In this project I used a tutorial from the campus blog, for the text. Object, turn text to curves, as character shapes. I used both scripts, and merged them together. The background frame I used the brush variance tool to erase a large portion of the original photo, blur, flood filled a new layer white placed it below the frame, merged both layers, added a texture, merged the masked groups, and copied and paste. I selected only the image, and buttonized.

Here is day 4.  Again I used a sky photo, which had a hint of  red, from the sunset.  After many random  clicks, the kaleidoscope delivered  another lovely background paper.   Text on a path, lifted corner. Gem stones from picture tubes. A plaque  created using 3 tutorials from Cassels.

Thank you Carole.  It’s hard to beleive that I started out with a photo of blue sky with some white clouds.  I use the effects tools a lot.  I clicked and clicked  on the random button, in the Kaleidoscope, until I found what I was looking for.  I agree those tools in PSP create some truly unique background papers.  I used the mirror tool too, so that they would  fit perfectly in the  centre.  I used  a brush, I tried to use one of  your lace tubes, but the magic wand wouldn’t pick up  every detail, so I used a brush I had. It’s a photoshop brush, from https://myphotoshopbrushes.com/brushes/. I made a mask out of it.    I find that  brushes or masks make a subtle divide.  Perhaps you could make some  lace brushes for the store.  I’d buy them.    x

Libera, thank you for you lovely comment.  You are going to have to wait a few days, to see the bird word much, much  bigger.  🙂  I have plans for it.

Shutterpixi, thank you for your encouraging comment.  I have a high standard to maintain, phew!  I hope I can  deliver. 🙂

Dave, really good job on your magnolia page. Keep up the good work.

Day two of the challenge.   For the background I  used a  sky photo which I took,  played with the opacity, and kaleidoscope.  Mirror, so that the  two background paged matched. I did the same with the  second page of photos., to achieve a sort of pyramid effect.
