Thank you Annie for your kind words. Your page is lovely. You have so many brightly coloured birds in your part of the world
Beautiful pages being submitted, I looking forward to seeing more.
Thank you I have it now.
Carole, I retrieved the files from dropbox, but they were the templates from 2016 challenge. Which I have. I will have to download winzip7 in order to open the files from the French site.
Carole, I don’t have Dropbox, so I tried to download it, I found the preview of the template, but no download button, Perhaps I had to sign up, which I didn’t do. If possible would you be able to send it me via email, if not it’s OK. I downloaded the previous ones from the very first love story challenge. I’ve had a new laptop since.
Very nice Minka, I can’t wait to get out on the water with my kayak. At the moment the lake is frozen, 18 inches thick. We can now drive across it.
We are in another deep freeze, -37c with a wind chill of -52c, with blowing snow across the landscape. Needless to say the school busses are not running. I failed to locate and download the template, so I used a photoshop template from a previous challenge. I used a heart font for the heart butterflies.
Thank you Annie, I did. I used the dimensions 2 script. It’s such a fun script.
Thank you Val for your kind comment.
It’s St Dwynwen’s Day on the 26th Jan, the Welsh equivalent to St Valentines Day. Which has been around since the 11 hundreds. Playing with ideas with fonts and text. With some added extractions and promoted to new layers.
Thank you Michele. I can only endorse the comment on the new members, looking through the boot camp projects, the work submitted is incredibly professional. Of course Carole must take credit for her approach to her tutoring techniques.
Thank you Annie, for your very kind comment. You are always so kind and supportive.
Thank you Karon for your kind words, they are always appreciated.
A simple layout.
I used one of Carole’s corner punches, lace tube for the frame, mitred corner script and her fanned photo script.
I used a mask to extract the flower, creating a soft edge. Background layer, merged down. Created a simple frame .
Carole’s lace tube for the butterfly frame, used the mitred corner script to create the frame. Word art. The flower frame is a brush, again more word art, blend modes on the background papers. I use colours from the photos in the background papers, textures.
I used one of my photos, mask and watercolour brushes.
Victorian/vintage.
I see the campus is a hive of activity with wonderful, creative pages. Great work to you all, to many to compliment individually. I’ve been working on this year’s ecards. A little different to my usual style of work. Of course they are in my pending file for now, until closer to the date of sending, when I might make adjustments. For now each card has the basic layout. Vintage designs.
I’d like to thank you for your very kind comments on my pages. I appreciate it, and it means a lot to me, coming from fellow PSPers. I scroll through the pages on here, and I’m awe at the talent, which oozes through in the pages you all create. Well done all of you, you should be very proud of what you create.
Being creative while watching the snow blow outside. Roll on Spring, Many of these little birds choose to stay, rather than migrate to warmer climes. Weighing less than an ounce, they are hardy. One of my favourite shots.
I’m on a roll with my bird pages. Let me introduce you to this little beauty. Nice and warm wrapped up in a down filled jacket. I love Carole’s corner and edge punches. The edge punches are a little time consuming to create, but well with it.
Thank you so much Annie. You are always so kind with your comments.
Beautiful layouts Lynda, I am a great fan of the out of bounds technique. It gives a professional touch to any layout. I use it in some way or another in the majority of my layouts.
Lynda, did you go doolally creating those doodles, which are fabulous by the way! lol Everyone has been so busy creating wonderful diverse pages, it’s always a pleasure to scroll through the pages.
Here’s another texture project.
It would appear that I have missed several comments on pages, which I posted in December. I do apologize for responding. Thank you Val for your very kind comment on my Blue Jay page. Corrie, that is how I acquire my supplies from the store, I add them to my wish list, and purchase periodically. Mind you I have been accumulating supplies for quite some time.
A little project I created using a macro shot of a Flax. I did it for the textures challenge in the maniac FB group. I’m anxiously waiting for winter to give way to Spring, but I know that isn’t going to happen any time soon.
Great page Minka, Osprey are also known as the fish eagle, you must a large body of water close by, with plenty of fish. I like your layout.
Again, so many beautiful pages created. Annie I love to use the blend modes, and your page is prefect. The pages submitted after the masterclass are ever so clever and imaginative.
Raymond, if you are referring to the last image, you have done a superb job, I wouldn’t have known you added the lady in the white dress unless you said. You have toned down her overall colour to match the photo. You could try using the fade correction under adjust, colour. To lift the colours in the photo a little. I would also remove the decorations behind , they are a bit of a distraction. Leave the red curtain, as it gives balance to the red tablecloth.
My dearest Annie, your comments on my work means a great deal to me, also very much appreciated. They help encourage me to aspire to create better pages. When I need to extract a building or a tea cup, which has definite sides I will use either the magic wand or eraser. When it comes to feathers and fur I do like to use a mask, plus the fact that I can always go back to the page and edit the mask, something you can not do when you use the eraser tool, or magic wand. The font used for the word Spring is called Storyteller. The majority of my pages are not scrapbook layouts, but I do like to incorporate all that Carole has taught me through her element tutorials. I coloured the word using 2 brush techniques, lock transparency, and paint behind. As for the Chickadees, they are my winter visitors, and become quite tame, they have on occasion taken feed out of my hand. I’m waiting patiently for the migratory birds to return, as come spring their songs will break the winter silence. And then there are the insects, I love macro photography, particularly shooting insects. Start playing with something different, and you’ll create your own distinctive style. I’ve closed PSP for tonight, but I’ll send you the names of the other fonts tomorrow. I used 2 fonts for the word believe. One tip when creating word art, use lots of guides, horizontal and vertical. Enjoy the rest of your day, I’m off to bed now.
Sorting through some of 2020 photos for this year’s cards and calendars. When I looked at this one I noticed a bud, which isn’t unusual, but then this quote came to mind, which I thought was quite apt. Had a bit of fun playing with the word Spring, colouring it in etc. I can’t wait to hear the songs of returning migratory birds. The shortest day has been so it’s all up hill from here on. If anyone would like the word SPRING, I have posted it in the facebook page, in the file as a png. Used a mask to lighten the right side to make the text easier to read. Word art.
My first layout in 2021. Snowflakes merged with the frame is a font. Perspective. Extracted the other Blue Jay by using a mask. Winter flowers by creative fabrica. You don’t have to be young to catch snowflakes on the tongue, I still do it!
