Another page featuring my little friends. I used the repeat script to create the row of apples. A little trivia for you. The phrase ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’ originated in Wales in 1866.
Very nice work Cindy.
Annie, your page is lovely. The Pelicans are beautiful. I like the added touch of the leaves. I actually considered adding leaves to my page, but in keeping with the time of year, I didn’t as the trees are only now showing signs of budding. The word fill works well with the layout.
I used a lot of the kit, mainly the papers. For the background paper, I used the photo in effects, and this is what it generated, after using several effects, and randomized parameters. I created and decorated the label. I used the brad factory for the square beads. Scalloped edge. it took longer to create the first line, as I did 2 sizes. Once I did that to create the square it was plain sailing, by duplicating the line of scallops I did. I’ve been quiet, due to spending more time out taking photos etc than indoors. Cheeks, and they are all named Cheeks, they are not only cheeky chappies, but they fill their cheeks with food, to take back to their burrows to store. They pinch the bird seed off the floor, which fall from the feeders when the birds are feeding. Everyone is a winner!
I don’t know if this will count. Unusual unique frames. 🙂
Great work ladies.
Cristina, I sometimes use instant effects when creating frames, the impasto effect will be something quite different to use in a frame or border in conjunction with other effects. I must give it a try. I’m not a big fan of pic to painting. Beautiful work on your latest page. I love it.Silver plated frame
Ornate frames.
Thank you Annie, your kind words alway mean a great deal to me. The bead maker is great, you’ll have a lot of fun with it, as I am. Changing them into a tube takes time.
Cristina, as always thank you, thank you ever so much for your kind comments on last night’s pages.
Cristina, apologies, I have just read your comment in April, about my page. Thank you so much, I always appreciate your comments, as in many respects we have the same style. Take care my dear friend.
Wonderful work everyone!
Annie you work is incredible. The grab bag page is sensational! I’m going to have to add it to my favourites in readiness for the next sale. Like you I’m having fun with my purchases.
Cristina, what an incredible double page you created. I see why it took a while to complete, so many techniques, and as always you put emphasis on so many small details. Well done!
So many beautiful works of art being posted.
Two projects I did this evening. For the owl page, I created a polaroid frame, used paper templates, circle text, and slipped in photo technique, which I haven’t done for ages. For the ground squirrel, I created a stripes and dots paper, and a dotted paper. Framed my handsome little boy, added word art. Instead of copy and paste into selection the whole photo into the borders, I selected a small part of the squirrels light fur, on his shoulder. The beads in the frame, is one of Carole’s tubes which I colourized to match the colour of the sliced carrots. I bought Carole’s bead maker yesterday. Of course I had to try it out.
I have had the dimensions script several years,I love it! I’ll have to post some pages in which I used that script. The plaid pattern works really well with the alpha. I love it.
I have to agree with you two too! It’s great to see the campus growing in members.
Finally got round to playing with some of the goodies I purchased in Carole’s sale. Twisted knot, heart tubes, ribbon factory, and custom brad. I framed the ground squirrel, created a colour palette from the photo, twisted vine around the knotted ribbon, threaded the hearts through holes I created, and the tag I made, scalloped the green paper.
Far to many to comment on individually. So many positively incredible pages created. I’m in awe with all the talent displayed. Well done one and all.
It’s already morning somewhere in the world. Good morning ladies and gentlemen! There’s a masterclass this weekend on effects. Art media. I use a lot of these tools to create papers, and frames. In this frame I used Charcoal, and fur. I can set my watch as to the time the ground squirrels get up and out in the morning. Here’s one of them emerging , to start it’s day, as they are only active during the day. Carole’s knotted ribbon script, confetti script and corner punch. I created the sun and word art. Have a good day everyone, no matter what you’ll be doing.
I amended the final page, by replacing the lifted corner image with the original unlifted.
Jnet, I used the lifted corner script on the first photo, but looking at it now it doesn’t look quite right, I don’t think it scripted properly. I’ll go back and try it again.
Our resident campus proof reader doesn’t miss a typo! Well done Ann! 🙂 You beat me to it, Sandra posted this page after I had scrolled through what I had missed over the past few days. I spotted it after I had posted my day 6 page. I was about to comment, but you beat me to it . By the way Ann, great work!
You are most welcome Monique. By retaining copies, and saving the pages as a PSP file, you will always be able to go back at a later date to copy and paste masks, text, and lots more into new projects, without having to start from scratch. Same goes for the grunge papers you create.
Day 6, I cheated a little, I used the Saskatchewan element which I created a long time ago. At the time it took quite a while to do, to get the beads to align on the rope correctly. As the word is a long one! 🙂 I also used the BIRD word, which I also created some time ago. Using letters and numbers are a great way to showcase lots of photos. I like to add subjects showing at least one of their eyes. I used an overlay on the background paper. I have several grunge paper templates which I have created, and they are great to add to a flat background paper.
Wonderful pages submitted by everyone, they are all inspirational, educational, and fabulous layouts. Well done ladies and gentlemen! I’ve had a couple of busy days in the saddle moving cows, so I’ll miss the two days and create day 6 later on to post.
Monique, what I do is duplicate the mask with the photo in, close one, and merge down the other before adding a shadow. That way you will always retain the original masks you created. As you have to merge the group in order to add a shadow.
I’ve had a couple of busy days. First chance to come here this morning to see so many wonderful pages. I can’t believe how busy the campus has been. I too shopped in the store I have bought so many goodies to put to good use, and save time in the process. Great works of art ladies and gentlemen. So inspirational for all of us.
Day 3, I used scenes that I take through the horses ears, of the landscape.
Annie, what interesting Tawny Owls, the info you wrote about them is fascinating. Their expressions are quite something! 🙂 I love your chicken page, such rich colours, everything about Australia is bold and brightly colourful. Well done.
Everyone is creating fabulous, interesting pages. I feel quite exhausted after my trip around the world from the comfort of my home.
That it does, my dear Annie. If we weren’t we wouldn’t get very far either in using PSP. Lol. xxx
Fantastic work everyone, every page is different, and tells a different meaningful story. Someone posted a La Crosse page, now I can’t find it. Anyway, I played La Crosse during my grammar school days. When my daughter took an interest in polocrosse in pony club, I joined in, Rachael went on to compete in that sport at an intermediate level. Those were fun years. Polocrosse is a combination of polo and lacrosse.
I also Googled it, and like you I couldn’t find an answer. I even looked it up in my nature books, which I rely on more than the WWW. Xx
Day 2. I kept in keeping with the previous pages. As the Moose is also a hoofed mammal, and the largest member of the deer family. Here are a few more of my visitors. This female antelope has her fawns in the horses field, she has done so for many years. Plenty of tall grass for the fawn to hide, and ample lush green feed.
Bonnie, thank you ever so much for your kind comment on my Moose page.
