Hi Kim, I hope you enjoy your time with us all.
Thank you Karon and Val very much!
I = Incandescent light. Emitting light as a result of being heated.
Bonnie, Sue, Minka and Libera: Great Layouts! I really enjoyed looking at them and seeing how you all made them different. They all gave me ideas on how to do Sketches.
This sketch was a little hard for me to work with, but I think I got it. I am new to using sketches and I really enjoyed working with it. I used a kit called “Football Fever” by Sweet Pea Designs.
O = Orange Tree
Welcome Raymond. I love what you did with the old photo you restored. Excellent job on the scratches and the coloring. I just moved back to Michigan from a town in Georgia called McDonough. Its not far from Atlanta at all.
Sandra
Karon: Thank you for complimenting my work.
Ann: Great work on the color change.
Thank you Cheryle
I keep buying these paint spatters usually the watercolor ones and after watching the Master Class Video called “Brush Work in PSP”, I decided to try making my own. I used the colors light orange and dark red. In my brush variance pallet, I changed the hue, increased the size, and I changed my rotation. For a first attempt it did not turn out to bad. I played around with the opacity on the layers panel. I used Cassels newspapers bits for the lettering and blended it in.
If any one has any ideas on how I could have made this better please let me know. I really appreciate all the tips and ideas that have been given to me over the time I have been here.
Beautiful work every one. I am really inspired by the variety that every one does.
Corrie; Beautiful layout. I love the bg paper and the frame around it all.
Cheryl: I love what you did with the photos and template. Where did you find the template? I seem to have missed that.
Nemisis: You did a beautiful job with the blended layers. It makes your photo very stunning and unique.
Bonnie I love what you did with the really neat photos of your trees.
Art What a fascinating picture. Its amazing what nature can create.
This is a picture of a Writing Spider that we found in our garden last month. It was very big.
I took a mask made by Melo at Pixel Scrapper and used it and it landed perfectly on a bg paper from a kit called ” Faboolous Halloween” by La Galerie De Jackie and I used the embellishments in a kit called “A Bootiful Night” by Designs by Stina.
The spider web was perfect with the spider picture and mask I used.
W= Weeping Willow
Sue your layouts are beautiful and thank you for taking the time to explain how you do it. I never thought to adjust the opacity etc thanks for the tip.
Karon thank you. I love your layouts you did a wonderful job with LAB 10 Module 9.
I was watching the Master Class Video called “Paintship Christmas 4” and see where to go thru the layers menu to new mask layer and adapt my mask from there with Gaussian Blur and a grunge brush for this new and improved masks. I think all my projects would look better if I slowed down. For some reason I am feeling rushed on all that I make.
Beautiful layouts every one.
I have been trying to work with extractions. I have also been working with mask that I have been trying to create by myself. The picture of the mask is my first every and I used a rose and took the color away and resized it a few times for the white, grey and black of my mask.
I have been watching all the Master Class on “Extractions” and “Masks” from Scrapbook Campus.
Corrie I was sorry to hear about your hand. Prayers for a quick recovery. That Crayfish would scare me lol. Dont know if I would want to walk around with them in my yard.
Minka =Your home looks very peaceful. I have enjoyed the photos.
Sawnie I love what you did with all the different trees. Great Layout!
Shirley I love your layout especially the beautiful blooming tree in the middle.
Mink I love your photo. Looks very peaceful. I love how you split the photo on your layout.
Sandra
Libera and Dawn : Thank you both so much for the compliments.
Art : I love nature trails and I would really be fascinated to walk around a forest with trees that large. It is pretty interesting to see that tree growing out of a stump.
Here is my Theme of Trees. I love trees and we are getting ready to travel to north Michigan because they have the most beautiful display of fall leaves. We try to go every year.
I used Butterfly Kisses by Memory Chicks and I got my stock photos from a site called Unsplash.com.
Monique,
I have a serious problem with downloading all kinds of digital scrapbooking kits online. There are so many that are free. Over the years I actually have a 500 gigabyte hard drive full of them. I organize them by subject like birthdays, seasons, heritage or memories and boys/girls etc. I try only to keep those that I can make a full page from.
It is taking me forever to find a kit for one photo so recently I decided to delete most of my old files from years ago unless I really like them or I bought them.
This is my layout of the newspaper theme. My grandmother who was on the front page of our newspaper for being able to crochet beautiful afghan after she went blind. My Aunt would pick out the colors and she would do it all by counting the stitches.
Background by Alchimie Romantique
Newspapers by Cassel
Elements by Manuela Zimmerman
U= Unpublished or unfolded
Here is my day # 7
I know you can’t see it really well but the in the Christmas tree I put the photo of the real Christmas tree in it. The lights fit perfect but it’s hard to tell it’s there.
I got my stock photos at Pexel.com. I used Carole’s template. My elements and papers came from a kit called ” A Holly Berry Christmas” from Crazeds Creations.
Carole : Thank you so much for doing the Story Time Challenge. I really enjoyed going down memory lane. I also learned so much. It became easier and easier to write the stories as I went along. All except the cooking one lol.
To every one else: the stories and the layouts have been truly awesome. Great Job!
R= Ream (which is a quantity of paper of the same size and quality) knew the word had to look up the definition lol.
Lovely layouts every one! I didnt consider this an easy color to work but here is my page of my mom, her mother and siblings.
I used a kit called “Bit of wear and Tear” by Gilda Paterson
My story for day #6 isn’t about me. I wrote a story about my daughter and her fear of insects.
I used a kit called “Bug-a-licious” by Delicious Scraps and I used the template from Carole.
Great Stories everyone! They have been really fun to read.
Day #5
I had a hard time with this one because I had no clue what to write. My favorite food is a turkey sandwich but that seemed so boring.
I used a kit called Shabby Chic by JSS.
Day#4
I was such a tom boy growing up. I played all the sports with the boys like baseball, basketball and football but was never interested in the girl sports like gymnastics, cheer leading etc. Not quite sure why that is.
I used a kit called “Let’s Play Ball” by Pretty Ju Scraps
Here is my story.
Day #3
My story about me and my cousin getting into my dad’s homemade wine. I wish I would have learnt how to make home made wines by building my own still before he passed on. I would not have drank any of the wine or moonshine from it but I would have learned what is fast becoming a lost art.
I used a kit called “Shabby Chic” by JSS and I used Cassel’s butterfly script.
I am starting to get comfortable with the journaling and today was quite a bit easier than the previous two days. I also figured out if I typed in my story first I didn’t get the blurred results and that my story fit much better than my previous attempts.
