Ann, I did see a script called “Stray Pixel Catcher” in the store. Maybe that’s the one you are looking for.
Happy Birthday Carole! I hope you have a wonderful happy day!
I was worried about that Carole (losing my settings). I’ll see how it goes. I thought something was up because when I open PSP it always has some kind of advertising for PSP then I get the happy lady logo (they are using for 2022). I used to have to close that first. Now it comes up and it’s blank (no advertising but the box is there, blank) and I can’t close it using the “X” in the corners. I was able to check the don’t show this box and get it closed somehow and haven’t had it come up again. That started a few weeks ago so I think something is unhappy. Also, fibre optic is coming to my neighborhood and there is work trucks and linemen around working. We haven’t noticed a disruption but you never know. I never uninstalled 2021 so I can use that in the interm if I need to. 2022 really lags even to just click save as, there is a 4-5 second wait time, it used to come up immediately. Small things like that. It auto saves way too often, I need to learn if I can make it save less often or have it so I prompt the save. I did get on Digital Scrapbook and downloaded some water droplets and will play around with them on the layout. What I did was made a selection of the background paper with the water stains on it, turned it upside down and stuck it on the bottom. ?
That’s great news. I did it over a year ago and was thinking of doing it again.
Project 5 Day 11. Sumi on the ironing board. No iron on the board, I had gone to get it and came back to find her and her sister Saya on the ironing board. I took advantage of the photo op. The papers and elements are all Digital Scrapbook. the font is a windows font (Gills Sans Ultra Bold and Gill Sans MT). The “O” is Sumi’s eye…and Yup, it’s kinda creepy. Seemed like a good idea at the time. The flower is two flowers layered on top of each other and then merged. the title is from the blue rounded rectangle. I’m not really a fan of crooked frames, I cant seem to make it look okay or part of the picture is cropped off which makes me a bit nutty. I used Hue/Saturation to changed the color.
I had real issue’s with the text tool today, I’m assuming I did something I didn’t know I did. After I clicked apply and I have the 8 pick nodes around it, it would not resize at all, I could pull the corner node (set to scale) and it would just snap back to its original size. I did notice something the tools option bar was odd looking. I had to change the vectors to a raster to use the pick nodes to change size. I have being getting odd issues with PSP 2022 ultimate and it’s really lagging a lot. I think I might go back to 2021 ultimate and keep 2022 for it’s ai tools in case I need them.
Here is my Day 9 project 4. I’m not real happy with it yet. PSP was acting weird tonight and when I saved it as a jpg the ‘l’ and the ‘e’ in ‘Blue” changed colors to a darker yellow-red. They were like the ‘a’ in ‘jay’. And it’s only the -600 resized version that is like that, the large jpg has the lighter colors in the letters. I wanted to add water drops as scatter but Digital Scrapbook was down for maintenance. I tried lots of elements but have yet to find one I liked.
I really enjoyed the pages I got to see tonight. Beautiful work from everyone.

Ann, (75504) the paint to target tool is cool. It took me awhile to find it. I have been trying to figure out how to change a color without losing the texture.
I have uploaded two of my projects for Day 7. The difference is the background paper, one a tone, one a tint of green. It sure changes the “feel”, one low key and muted, the other bright and cheery. Everything else is the same and yet side-by-side they look different (eg. the yellow flower looks brighter in the tint background. Even the blue, the plaid and the butterfly look different, yet they are all the same). The photo’s are mine (my cat girlz, Sumi and Saya, not long after adoption 3 yrs ago, Sumi’s tummy is still bare from her spaying). Title font is Adellia Heart and the quote font is Mykilove both from Creative Fabrica. The papers and elements from Digital Scrapbook.
Mary, your gradient is beautiful. Tints and light tones are so yummy!
Pirrko, that is stunning background gradient. Great for portraits!
Playing with Gradients. Yellow to Green, Yellow to Red, Magenta to Blue with 6 total stops on each one. The two end Hues are 100 % strength while the 4 stops between are the hues that take you from one side to the other. Then I added a texture effect to them to play around with. These are quite bright as I was playing with pure hues and not tints, shades or tones which would make them less YOWZA on the eyes. If I have time tomorrow I will try doing it from a photo. This is fun to play with.
Pirrko, I really like your pages. the texture on your background paper/papers is really interesting and makes it look like a painting.
Sandy, I was just like you. I had PSP for about 3 years and almost gave up on it until I came across the Bootcamp and thought I’d try one more time. I’m almost a year into learning PSP. You will get there, and this is the best place to be. You will get help from everyone. And I have never seen a question/issue that Carole couldn’t answer. I am looking forward to seeing your pages.
Here is my page for Day 5 Project 2. I did two colors as I am trying to use lighter/brighter colors and I always go dark. This is one of my cat girlz Saya, pronounced Si-ah. The papers and elements are from Digital Scrapbook. The drop shadow on the black cat has a reduced opacity so it would show up. I used a drop shadow on the paw print as if it was a thick paper as it looks like a button on a cover weight paper and would cast a shadow accordingly. the paw print came with it’s own shadow. The title font is Nomaden (Creative Fabrica), and green one has an inner bevel and a bit more of a drop shadow as it looks like it’s a thicker puffy letter. I didn’t shadow the paw prints on the bottom border because it’s meant to be ink, a nod to my other cat girl Sumi who seems to appear from nowhere when we paint, resulting in a painted black cat. I am leaning toward the green background. I will have to go back and fix the end ‘A’ as there is a spacing issue that I meant to fix and forgot.
Really nice pages from everyone. Inspirational and motivating for me. ?
Alan what sweet picture, baby lambs, it doesnt get much cuter than that.
Linda, I hope everything is going well and your hubby is well rested (as one can be after a procedure – I’ve had back surgery so I get it about not sleeping in the hospital). I’m blown away you could make a layout while being there.
Pirkko, Wowzers! that’s are beautiful sunrise and layout. I love how the sun is shining through your yellow strip. Very cool.
I agree with Mary, Nel (#75198) and Susanne (#75213) have beautiful layouts.
Here is mine. Papers, trees and snowflake scatter are from Digital Scrapbook. Little fox from Creative Fabrica. Photo is mine. Fonts are Loving Austin (from Creative Fabrica) and Segoe Print (windows font).
Ann, I love you plate, I’m going to have to learn how to cut my sandwich…I am supposed to be civilized after all ?.
I added the fox cause he is cute and the right color and why not? I hope I got the shadowing right on him, didn’t make sense to have it below him as he’s supposed to be laying on the frame.
This page is fabulous. I like the explanation of what each section (creative scrap, masterclass, Lab etc) is and how you would use it. Initially I thought I’d just be using the masterclasses and creative scrap, but seeing Mary go through the Labs is quite inspiring. I should have been doing that in the beginning because I didnt really know how to “start”. That’s also why I love the workshop approach.

Thank you Carole. I just downloaded it and will read it soon as I finish trolling the forums….hahaha, that sounds so shifty.
Mary, I love seeing your layouts on the Labs. what a great way to learn about PSP.
Trish…OUTSTANDING! I love abstracts and have started to move that way in my photography.
Sue, I simply love corvids. Especially Magpies, which are new to me since moving to Alberta. We have a winter family that comes everyday (I have bird feeders), spring we have a crow couple and the magpies toe-the-line when they (crow couple) are in residence. Although they are cheeky and do push the limits. They are all back in the yard, crows and magpies in late summer as I have 3 bird baths out. It is so interesting to hear about your Magpies you had.
Thank you. I get downloads from Creative Fabrica and Digital Scrapbook and there is often a variety of files. like svg, eps, ai. I dont even know what to do with them. Some come with brushes but I cant seem to discern what the brush is and how to load them. Are tubes and brushes also Vectors. You don’t have to answer this, if you make a workshop I will learn from them. Vectors are complex in all the tasks they can do and I think it’s a powerful skill (to understand) to have in my arsenal.
Pirkko. that’s the kind of bread I love, I could live on bread and cheese.
Alan, Yummy sandwich. Is that eggs I see? I’ve never had coleslaw on a sandwich before but that sounds yummy. I like your tablecloth.
Here is my table. I made a club sammy for my hubby. Added chicken meat too and some extra pickles ( he doesn’t like them, so I’ll get to eat them…that’s why I added more ?). Coffee is the order of the day…it’s still morning, he likes it black. I bought a table cloth from Creative Fabrica for the table (okay, by “bought” I really mean FREE!). He’s upstairs eating it right now, and he even noticed the table cloth.
Him: Is this a new table cloth
Me: oh no, we’ve had it for months
That’s how it goes when I buy something and try and sneak it into the house without him noticing…it’s a running joke. He doesn’t care if I buy stuff, and well, I don’t buy stuff that often.
Cant wait to see all the participants yummy tables.

That’s exciting about making workshops from master classes. I’d love to see a project based in depth class on Vectors, all the things you can do with them. What tools to use, how to use them and the settings to use. And when you’d want to create something as a vector. Also some general information about vectors; the different file extensions, are they all the same, can any be use with PSP. And what the heck is a svg file. I have watched one vector master class and it’s really interesting. I really like the project based workshop approach. they have really helped me improve. thank you.
PSP set to open in the Edit workspace, with dark workspace and medium background. Layers palette, scripts palette and materials open. I’m using the materials palette from 2022 version. I like the classic look better and I think it’s easier to use, but I like the sliders in 2022 when I want a specific RGB or CMY Hue (especially for an upcoming project where i want very specific Hues). I work untabbed. It looks pretty much like Ann’s workspace. Like Ann this is also my 5th time through. Still learning from watching the videos and reading the comments of the participants.
I’m back for more bootcamping! I might do this moody winter stormy scene. I dont really have a theme so I might choose by picking a folder from my photo’s and pick the one I like the most. Yikes!
BTW, where is everyone?
I was inspired by Trish’s gradients and I had just watched the gradient master class. then I read Carole’s post about gradients. I figured it was a sign to give it a try. It’s a 3 color gradient with Cyan – K – Blue. And it’s the first time I used the Texture Effects. It was fun. I’m glad to have learned how to make my own gradients.
Ann, it’s really nice to see both layouts. The eagle stands out more with the changes.
Lynda, OMG! those foxes are awesome. We have them here (in Alberta) but I think I’m the only one in the province who hasnt seen one yet.?
Sue, I love the meadowlark. Another one I’ve never seen. You have interesting birds in Sask. My friend is in Scotland right now and sent me a photo of an English Robin (is that right?). They are so delicate looking compared the ones we get here (which I haven’t seen yet either).
Rene, beautiful H layout. I like your write up, it give real life to this important field in your town. Too bad they had to change the name, the history with it’s original name has so much more meaning and feeling to it. There’s nothing “homey” about a corporation name.
I really love that Trish. After a not so great night at work, what an inspiring image to come home and see. Beautiful gradients!
Michele! Holy WOW!
E – Everyone….in my family (all 4 siblings) are all adopted.
Overboard gave me a laugh. I love the overlays Trish. I have to say my favorite is the Oversee-Peek-a-Boo one, very cool.
Wow Mary, they are wildly different. Hard to imagine them coming from one square. Ann, that is a beautiful FB header.
