Wise Words Day 4 and quite far from the beach I would say. In Central Otago NZ we have beautiful Autumn colours. Arrowtown is a historical village with Queenstown close by. It is an hours drive from where I live ad I can say there is a picture around every corner in all seasons, but Autumn has the most vivid colours. It is so unusual to see sucn quiet streets with no tourists.
Day 3 Project (Crib) I was having issues and couldn’t do the journal text as Carole did with the selection. I didn’t have mine on a template so maybe that was why. I have done it before but that was before and not now, so I have just gone on my own tangent and did as I knew how. Some days things just don’t fall in to place, and this was one of them.
Annie, Thanks for your remarks, and it is good to see your happy face again. Keep safe and well.
Alicia, you will love New Zealand but I guess your visit will be delayed until we are out of lock down and I am not sure when our borders are going to open. Our government have ordered very strict rules and I don’t think overseas travel will happen in the close future. Let me know when this time comes and how far south you are planning to visit, we may be able to meet
Cheers Shirley
Wise words day 2. It is pretty busy, but I was quite pleased with how the text worked out. I foraged through my stash for the papers and elements
Day 1 in Wise words challenge. This little guy popped up on my fb page and gave me the inspiration for my page. I scrounged the elements from png guru and UIHere free elements except for the butterfly and the paper came from my stash . I used the same text as Carole and boy what a job I had doing this.
Thought I would showcase one of my cakes. What a lot of mucking around when you are not following a tutorial. I don’t think I did the cake justice. I won champion in the show with this one. It was a challenge making the flame lily from sugar paste but was even more special when I came across the real thing on one of our cruises in the pacific.
Annie, I wondered where you sipped away to. Here’s hoping you will be pain free soon xx
I love these colours, so soft and whimsical.
All signed up thanks.
This is a photo of my friend I decided to work it into a scrap page. I used Gaussian blur on the baubles and did the brush mask effect for one of the photos. I put the sprays together and saved them as tubes. Using the perspective option gave an interesting effect. My friend was amazed she said “How did you do that” I think having such a nice photo made it easy to put some of my favourite colours together.
Michele, go to unsplash and get some photos from there.
It was fun, this was my first official day in lock down so it was a good way to spend some time, maybe we could do another photo while we are waiting for more participants. What do you think. But for now I am off to bed.
Hi Minka, I love what you did with my photo, you are a queen. How did you guess I have a fishing family. We have a fishing cottage at one of the the locations where Lord of the rings was filmed. I live only an hours drive from Queenstown and there she is, the Earnslaw Lady of the lake.
I hope you like what I have done with your photo. You mentioned the word bright, so that is what you get. I must go now and check out Carole’s presentation
Hi Minka here is my photo for you.I thought I would send you water too. This is the bridge that brings you over the river and into our town. I live in a pretty little town of 4000 population in New Zealand. Queensland is in Australia which is our sister country. You can do whatever you like with the photo. It was taken by a local photographer who shares her photos, she has a knack of capturing some special scenes.
I would like to have a team mate
Poster #4
You are such a happy person Annie.
No I haven’t got those old papers Carole, We were at a close friends 65th birthday and then I saw these 3 old guys deep in concentration over this article, I have no idea what it was, but it must have been relevant to them. The one sitting was her ex. all good friends. Sadly my friend who was my junior bridesmaid passed away last year 5 yrs on from this photo. I thought you would like my sun in he o position. Its a kiwi thing lol
My last project in this bootcamp. As usual it has been fun.
Yes Carole it is in the kit. It is cool.
Project for day 8 busy bees. I have used the papers and a couple of elements from the eyeinspire download and because they had a steampunk flavour I have used a photo of my steampunk enthusiast friend. I dipped into my stash of “Scrapping designs Steampunk Junction by Nik”for some more elements and alpha’s.
Thanks Lynda for that information. that gives me something to think on. There will be lots more than 3 bases to cover with the selections though. I am hoping Carole will do an update webinar on selections.
Replace add and remove are my biggest nightmare, I am so confused with those I need to know more.
Hi, Here is my project for day 6/7
have used rush ranch papers and elements except for my country’s map of course.
What an unexpected fun day meeting up with friends at Oamaru on the Otago coast. There they have a Historic Precinct with old whitestone buildings, some are retail some are like museums. They are the Steam Punk, and penny Farthings capital of NZ. There is also a penguin colony. So much to see.Keep working on it Jackie, this is a good start. Well done
Clever you Annie. I’m coming for tea.
Hello folks, My day 4/5 did turn out to be a camping adventure when these 3 guys came for breakfast. The horse almost had his head in the caravan window for the invite. I love the donkeys expression, and the horse is looking after the black sheep. I have used 2 photos as they tell the story. I used 2 papers from the suggested freebie and everything else is also from Antebellim Press including the spray I made from her flowers. The dog is my daughters. I made the tubes of her when she was a puppy. I probably would have issues attempting that now! lol.
Hello, My day three. “New” This is a photo of my Gt. Grandson I played around with some years ago. I have used some elements from Ginger scraps and some from Rush Ranch.
Well done
Annie, you are welcome anytime. We can share a bloom together.
