I love making all the papers and elements but struggle with composition, how to put it all together, elements, colours etc and make it look good. Are there any guidelines. Also, I get bamboozled by all the jargon surrounding copyrights. What are they saying in layman’s terms and how do you credit someones work properly. It has been argued by other forums that you can only put one copyright per piece of completed compilation of work but have to acknowledge others artwork too (who also have a CR to their work), so I get confused as to how to work out who has the overall CR. A minefield I know but surely I can’t be the only one with these concerns with CR.

I have had a think about this Cassel and I don’t think its so much as what inspires as more of what stops you from creating. Lack of confidence in producing something worthy has been a big stopper in the past and even though I love to have a go, confidence issues still lurk.
Also, because of complicating copyright issues using images from anywhere apart from my own, I shy away from those and use as much of my own creations as possible, as the CR ones can restrict what you use and do with their complicated TOU.
Learning how to make things, brushes, masks, shapes, backgrounds etc is what inspires me as I can use these without fear and the ideas spring into my little head. I really love your monthly seminars Cassell and have learnt so much. Thank you.
I have no idea what progressives, scraplifts, white spaces are but would have a go at them all the same.
Also, knowing what skills people have and are willing to share might be a useful tool to tap into.
Sorry this is long winded.

Here’s how I did it.
I made some feathered blended images for the background paper. The images had a border made from the font Ruritania one from Cassels seminars, using a vector shape, text on curve and altering the Kerning as needed to make it fit. The S was done by creating an Alfa from Cassel’s seminar monogramming and tubes added. I used the feathering and brightness contrast technique on it to make it a bit more rounded.
I have enjoyed doing these.

Thank you Eileen, I think there are some great pages here too. I love to have a go at making things with PSP and hope this will be the start of some fun challenges. Cassel’s seminars are just great and I have learnt so much from her.

I forgot to say what I did.
I made some flair buttons, a paper clip and some ghost writing. The shells and flip flop tubes came with my PSP.

Here it is. took me a few goes to get it posted but yipee, done it.
I made a grunged background with a stitch technique from a master class. Made a rolled paper, ribbon, and ghost shadow text from this weekends visual tuts. I edged my own images and stuck them with a brad.

Hi everyone, here is my first try.
I made a background and grunged it a bit and tried the folded paper technique. I used a ribbon I made from Cassels tut and made it more crossgrain than sheer.
I used my own photos and gave them a white border and stuck them with a shiny type brad. I also used the Ghost Shadow technique, another of Cassels instructional tut.

I like them all but I think 1 is best for me as it is easily identifiable with Scrap Booking via the Campus. Not sure of the size but maybe needs enlarging to get maximum visual impact.
I would willingly share the zipped file plugin Simple I have but don’t know how to place it here. Can someone tell me how to go about it. Thanks, Sheila x
.
Yipee, there here. Thought PB was having a hissy fit.

Hi Cassell. I have far too many plugins that I probably will never use but you know what its like, you just got to have whats available especially if its free. I have done a simple frame with a corner tube top left. To get the placement of the other 3 right I used the plugin Simple, top left mirror and hey ho, they all get done for you. The other one was a challenge image and I used plugin VM Natural, Sparkle before animating it. I like Filters Unlimited a lot because you can play with loads of them before or if you settle on one for your project. I have KPT collection but really need to get to grips with it.
Hope you can see them ok. Sheila H
