Hi Carole,
I currently live near Orlando, FL. However, I will be moving to Dawsonville, GA some time next Fall
Here is my day 7
I have learned so much! Thank you, Carole for being a great teacher! I have been inspired by all the fabulous and creative people who have shared their creations!
Day 6…my nephew Alfred and I on the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster at Walt Diney World’s Hollywood Studios in 2011. We were in the second row, so I put the text over the two people in front of us to help draw the eye to us. He is now preparing to graduate from college…how the time flies
Finally finished 5, although I think I did the leaf brush wrong, ha ha. Clay and Cody were my best loves…they passed one year apart almost to the day in 2009 and 2010. Cody at the ripe old age of 15, he was a rescue dog and he had the sweetest spirit. Clay, we raised from a 6 week old pup passed the following year at the age of 12. I miss them.
Such beautiful works! I am sooo behind! Very busy yesterday and most of today. I have started day 5 and hope to finish tonight. Having a hard time with the brushes as masks part…I don’t seem to have any that fit my subject. I’ll have to look for some.
Day 4
My maternal Grandmother when she was in her late teens, early 20’s. Isn’t she beautiful?
I didn’t put any shadow on the flowers because they have an illustrative look to them, not real.
I just wanted it to look very soft and ethereal.
I must say I’m really enjoying everyone’s creativity…and I’m loving the background manipulations I’m learning too!
Here is my day 3
Here’s my day 2. I used my own flower and text.
Wow, so many pretty layouts! Lots of inspiration out there!
I also used just what came in the downloads.
Thank you Annie and Lynda. My Mom was barely 20 in that pic. It was her engagement photo. I’m very excited to put my family’s cookbook together…I know they will love it!
While making my Mom’s stuffing recipe for Thanksgiving, I was inspired. I created this tribute page for her and then it occurred to me …. Im going to scan all the recipes my Mom sent me and create a cookbook for my siblings. I’ll start that after the holidays and aim for it to be a Christmas gift next year.
Karon, it is a small world. Great work on your calendar. I love that you used family for the pics. Northern GA is beautiful and I can’t wait to live there.
Raymond, nice to meet you as well!
Carole, we are very near to Dahlonega, GA. Close to both the NC, SC, and TN
Carole, I love that you have the Florida state of mind! I miss the seasons, yes even the snow…
The pictures for January are from when I lived in Rhode Island. We are not staying in Florida forever, we are building a house in the north Georgia mountains…I will have seasons again although the snow will not be more than 3 or 4 inches at most and only last a short time.
Yes, Stump Pass is my March picture. I live about 2 hrs away, but I love it there. I have a friend who lives in Englewood and when I visit, we always go to the beach! I have found shark teeth and I make jewelry with them.
Minka, I just saw your pages and I also am in Florida…you posted a pic of my favorite beach Stump Pass!
Congratulations to everyone for such beautiful work!
I do not usually post, but I thought I would join this challenge and share.
I am still working on it, but here are the first four months. All photos are mine.
Sorry for the duplicate Januarey…I mistakenly hit it twice…:)
We live in Florida near Orlando. Luckily all we got was some wind and rain. The eye of the storm stayed far enough off shore to spare us the worst of it.
Last one!
Thank you Carole for being such a great teacher. I have greatly enjoyed learning new tricks and seeing all of the beautiful work you ladies do! I created the corner diamond and heart blocks as my day 7 block lesson and tried to make my shadows the right size for each element. The picture is 18yrs old…my husband, his son, me, my brother-in-law at our local Renaissance Fair…And next…
I’m catching up after a few busy days!
Hi all,
I’m a day behind and I know it’s busy, but I love the outdoors and camping! For me, it’s about everything beautiful around me.Yes Carole, I am the baby in this picture. I was born in Feb of 1961, but I should have put summer of 62, since I think I was already walking in that picture.
My Mom and me….
