I have already changed the title on my own full sized layout but think posting the same layout three times with minor changes would be way too.much. I did not use a kit   I made the paper and the scalloped edge a while back though I added texture now and turned  the scallop.hanky into a ribbon, the  round  elements are a brush I made on the fly, from the v rake brush  with rotation and color and step variances to make it wheel, the beads are a single ball  on a transparent background used as a pattern with a  brush with a scatter variance and color variance based off your snow variance settings, sorry to go.on so.long.

I decided to use the kit which is probably the first time ive done a layout entirely from a kit, I enjoyed the layout and the tips and tricks but will probably remake this with different colors and elements I would  have redone things for more contrast but was running out of time. I have really enjoyed the bootcamp and it has been a very effective refresher and inspiration.

I did not have photos of my parents and grandparents that went well together so  extracted the colors from their clothes for the papers. My daughter in the photo,  now age 44 had asked me to do something for her  so I let this one do double duty. the butterfly is a preset shape the flowers were from a group  mega kit and just say AC , May 2004

My difficulties were not related to the actual tutorial,  I made my papers on the fly with layer s and blends and then got unexpected effects when adding the drop shadows, plus the photos were so dark that there was not much detail to bring out  I did use a glitter but added an overlay to modify the color so.it may not be obvious.  Base paper was.made from a digital.painting called unicorn barf, plus a pink .tile  and a plain  violet textured paper .my daughter is  often called purple girl which explains the color choices.. I used a smudge painted flower, a buttonized  dingbat for the flourish and a gold peacock motif I had previously made with a preset shape ,The peacock is the motif of the Goddess Hera and as such  an ancient emblem .of marriage

Yes I’m pretty sure I did mess up.The resizing  though I could claim. The kid looks weird I’m astigmatic enough that I don’t always catch distortions and unlike paintings you can’t pass off a photo club as artistic license , Thanks for telling me about font thing. I’m still working on issues with text but  pretty sure I’ll get the hang of it eventually. Do you have tuts on.making elements ,?  I’m very short on cute and decorative motifs such as those birds, though I could probably create some from shapes  or ding bats or, if I were not still.having my weird issue with brushes , brushes.

I had done about  80 percent when I changed my mind about the photo and replaced the dog with my grandson at age one .I also forgot to make sure I could see the whole page  so some off my placements ended up being a tad off. . I had more difficulty with the text than I expected . the ribbon and flower are from a  kit called wild things from 2004 and the papers are mine the base paper was from a hummie tutorial called tea stains  if I recall correctly. I wanted to ask a bout current usable  font viewers too as I have thousands of fonts,  especially dingbats, but don’t want to load them all into windows fonts.

I started out with a completely different photo then just kind of improvised the papers and elements and even a tube mostly from stuff id made about a decade ago , but I tried not to stray so far from the tutorial that it would be unrecognizable. me my two oldest girls and two kids who  borrowed us a parents for a while

Hi I am Peggy Im trying to relearn digital scrapbooking after about a decade off with mostly no access to computers . Ive forgotten a lot and am dealing with a vastly changed technology.  for now I’m sticking to dark grey work space and lighter image background, brush variances is my favorite palette but I have not yet firmed up the best set up for me. I miss the materials rainbow picker as shown in the demo mine does not have the outer rainbow  edge. one issue im having is that  this particular computer  has a high resoloution and everything is quite small for my  old eyes.
