I can see the forum but have not yet gotten any email or links about the challenge. I don’t have photos of most of my journeys but can find appropriate images of I do get the tutorial links etc.

The flowers are supposed to be a frame of whip cream  outside the mask.

I probably forgot to check the light my classic light has often  been from the right.

we met when his family toured the Northwest in the Fifties played at a couple of the tourist attractions and to everyone’s great amusement he said he would come find me when we grew up and marry me.  Years later in San Francisco we met in an early for! If computer date really pre internet, it was a few years after we married  before my daughter found some photos of Mike and I in my mother’s album.  The frame is one I made from scallop ed paper I had made years ago.

I really did not like my first day six I think I this one works better combined a plaid and the bohkeh effect and added a frame , its still very busy but   in a more organized way.

I have really enjoyed the love story challenges and have learned a lot about masks though Im still a rank beginner at them. I was really going to try to get through the whole challenge  without doing a food themed piece this ice cream sundae was irresistible! I did make a polka dot background  but decided to go with a kalidascope pattern I madde earlier. Cassel thank you especially for the help with using two masks .

this is way more grungy than intended  I originly took the bokeh colors from the picture  but  then went to the negative image with one layer from the original colors as it was just too gaudy. I whad made a different bokeh backgroung for a different picture  first and will probably do that one later . I still have to figure out why my dropper shortcut is not working, I useclipart graffiti from a kit called Carnaval

Im doing something wrong, I can choose the color with the dropper tool but when   shift to the brush tool it reverts to the prior color , obviously im missing a critical step

I have not managed to use a second mask for either the same or for a different photo or photo extract like in the day one template. And on day five I had wondered if I could use the mask of the Dragon and put the gold behind it. But everything kind of fused together.

I still have not figured out how to use two masks on the same image yet background is made from one of my kalidiscope-mandala overlain on a more abstract pattern made from the same image, the dragon was an old mask I had but I ended up pasting a glitter paper into the selected image rather than using it as a mask,. the mask I made with a brush of a semi abstract rose/cloud I had made and used the same brush for the  cloud “frame” grandson with me in the photo he is 11 now and going on TALL.

I still fumble repeatedly even with written directions  and watching the lesson repeatedly but it is coming along slowly

this time I just used one of my old papers and one from a kit that was use din the basic course. it looked kind of flat so I came up with a way to  fake having a drop shadow on the mask.

This was a little easier  but its not coming naturally . did they have layer groups in PSP x5 because I don’t seem to remember these procedures I did make a plaid but changed it into a pattern . this is my oldest granddaughter 9 in this picture  but about to turn 25  in real life the day before I turn 72 and the day after my youngest granadaughter turns 7.

I really had a hard time with this, and never felt like I had any control of the result .this is the first time ive tried to use a mask since  about 2010 or earlier. so basically  as soon as it started to vaguely look like a page I gave up for now its a red paper behiiind the mask and it probably looks better pink but it was not on purpose the elements are from a kit called it must be spring somewhere.now it ssaid this is a duplicate post  but I don’t see the image at all

I had put my repeat button on the left side of the layer pallete and clicked on the right side   then once I figured that out I think I double shadowed one button but mostly as the paper is dark I cant actually see all of the shadows . At least I finally realized that the move tool and the pan tool were not the same thing

I’ve registered I definitely need a refresher on masks .I’ve done the boot camp twice and am working through the basic scrap course now and even though I had old experience I have learned a lot from taking the classes.

I think I may have missed a download it was a huge bundle

I no longer recall how to do most of these things . but I think there are some similar things in the campus

At last here is my day five , I was delayed by being a bit under the weather , a gas leak that  had crews with jack hammers in the yard  for 48 hours, family drama , and my pspfreezing repeatedly, and then I just could not settle on photos or paper or etc. and started over more than once . here are a few rose quartz from my rock and crystal collections , the papers are all close up photos of crystals  and one  marble sphere  from my collection, the flower is one recolored from a script that I used to have and the ornament is a digital wire from long ago  . I AM picking up some of the short cuts finally got snap to guide to work .

I actually downsized The leaves and they are blurry ,  which fit the project I originally made them for,  which was for another seasonal fantasy theme with Mara . but I really do need to expand my embellishment range of at least become familiar enough with all the stuff I have in kits that I could find something appropro.

I am trying to put together a time line of pages  for them as they married in September. no kit though I think the leaves were made in superbladepro from a tube my butterfly photo and papers all done in psp.
