This is one of my projects when I first started Bootcamp. I learnt a lot about using layers, adding background papers and using the selection tool. I  enjoyed all the classes. Meet Leo, one of my fur-kids. Please keep him in your prayers, he is going to have an Ultrasound done tomorrow to see what is going on, as he has not been feeling well for the past few weeks. Thank you Carole and everyone here.

For Day 5, I am sharing a project I decided to do a few weeks ago using what learnt so far in Bootcamp, Love Story Challenge, and the Master Classes. I wanted to create something special for husband and my 58th wedding anniversary. I am still new to scrapbooking, so this may not be perfect, but I had fun creating it. The  papers, elements, and inserts are  from Digi Dewi’s Bundle “True Love” at Pixel Scrapper. I also used some items from my PSP Tube collections and added the Font ChaseCallas. Then I  applied the helpful tips from Bootcamp and Carole’s Master Classes and duplicated and converted the text vector layers into rasters, so I could apply drop shadows. Thank you,  Carole and everyone here for giving me the inspiration to do this.

Here is my project from Love Story Challenge Day 3. I learnt more about using masks and also about duplicating vector text layer and turning the copy into a raster layer, so I could use effects.on text like drop shadow, etc.

This was my very first project after I joined the Campus and I loved every minute of it. I learnt how to use so many PSP tools that I never knew I had. Thank you Carole and everyone here at the Campus.

I had fun with Cassel’s foliage frames and enlisted the help of one of my fur-kids for the finishing touches. I resized it, but as it in a rectangular shape, I am not sure if it will upload correctly.

Playing with Carole’s Circle Doodle Script and having a great time.  I love all of her scripts.  I am still learning more about PSP every day, thanks to all of the Tutorials and Master Classes. Is this the right place to show what I have been working on?

Here  is the last project for day 11 at the Bootcamp. I thoroughly enjoyed all the training and  finding new ways to use my PSP program. For this project I downloaded papers, button, and frame from Pixel Scrappers. The photograph showcases Leo again who loves to concentrate on watching his territory. Thank you, Carole for these awesome tutorials and for explaining everything so well. I learned how to use the magic fill, using the guides to make sure the pictures are all the same size, the shortcut to copy and paste and to repeat the shadow steps with control Y. I thought the pinking edge with the diamond shape was amazing, I will need to play with that some more. I also liked the way you taught us how to merge down the 4 squares. I have learned so much in a short time and am looking forward to learning some more. When working on this last project, I tried to use the method of selecting the rectangle for placing the text on the page and as I had just a few lines I could not get it to look good, so I just centered it. I will play with that some more. Also, thanks to everyone for posting your beautiful work here, you inspired me.

Finished Day 9 Project 4 Busy Bees. It took me a while to get the Selection Borders done, but it was fun and I found a new way to add borders. I used papers from Pixel Scrappers Gina Jones, Jessica Dunn and Marissa Lerin. I made the brown background by using the dropper tool to find the right shade. The bees and flower scatters are from Pixel Scrappers  Janet Kemp, and the letter B is from clip-art I had.  The flower pictures are from my backyard. I loved the diamond edge border around one of the rectangles. That is amazing and I know I will use that method a lot. Thank you Carole for showing us how to do that.

Just finished Day 7 Project 3 – Friendship. I used free items from Pixel Scrapper. Plaid paper and flower bouquet from Jessica Dunn, gold scroll from Janet Kemp, small pink and green flower from Marissa Lerin. The pictures, gold heart, and gold brown glitter are from my files and I made the green and tan background by using the dropper to come close to the colors of the plaid. The thing I found hard to do was adding the glitter after selecting the rectangle. I added a new layer but somehow ended up putting half of the glitter on another layer. Found that out later and had to redo everything.

I learnt a lot about drop shadows. I used to apply the same shadow to everything and never realized that there are so many interesting options. I enjoy looking at all the completed projects. Everyone is doing such a great job.

I liked the Adventure Park so much, I decided to visit with the Zebras for a while. Used papers, button and small felt Zebra from Pixel Scrappers. I love this workshop and have learnt to use many shortcuts.

I just finished Bootcamp Day 5 Adventure Park and had a lot of fun with it. I really like the Control Y command, it saves a lot of time. I used the brown paper from Pixel Scrapper Papers, Earthday, and as it looked too dark for the background, I brightened it up a bit and then used the original for one of the rectangles. Used some of the green  color of the trees in the picture for the second rectangle and  added the green flower from the Sonya Stover kit mentioned in the tutorial. I did not want to add birds, what if the lions got hungry? So I added the small baby lion which is looking for a home.  I  just had a little problem with the rotating tool. At first it rotated all my layers, so I went to free rotate and there a dialog box showed up where one could select all layers or not. Doesn’t the regular rotating option also have a that dialog box? If so how can I activate it, as mine does not show up, only in the Free rotate tool option. Thank you. Wishing everyone a very nice weekend!

Thank you Carole. I downloaded the free cat alphabet way back in 2002 as individual gif graphics. I only have them in CAPS and I can’t  remember where I found them. I just named them acat bcat ccat, etc. I just checked online under Cat alphabet and there are a lot of nice ones there, but I did not see the exact same ones I have.  If you like, I can send them to you.

Here is my finished project for Day 3. I do not have any kits yet, so I made my own backgrounds. I downloaded some free graphics like the hearts and some scatters from PixelScrapper.  Luckily I do have some great little helpers who pose for pictures and like to keep me company while I play with PSP. I am enjoying Bootcamp a lot and learn something new every day. Thank you Carole for making this possible for all of us.

I had a lot of fun with the layers. When I moved the layers over to the plate in my PSP X9, they moved there easily and then I noticed they were all titled raster layer 1, 2…. So, I renamed them, bread, lettuce, etc. as on the original. It made it easier to find the layer I wanted when editing. Of course, I also got hungry for just such a sandwich. Thank you for a great tutorial about layers., one can really do a lot with them.
