x = xeriscape
I live in a drought area so we tend to think in terms of reducing water use—my mother was a great believer in organic gardening and xeriscape. There may be a better water word starting with x but it’s the only one that came to mind for me.
u = umbrella…..in California, by the beach or by the pool, an umbrella is a helpful accessory to water play.
Sheila…I see nothing wrong with looking up words. My spelling is none the best, so I look them up all the time.
s = stream
The Master Class on ribbons was very good…made my little effort very humble by comparison. I had posted this in the Pinterest PSP Scrapbook Showcase but I sure can’t see it now (maybe I need to check back when I’m not so tired). Anyway, it is still in on my 2016 board: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/353391901992820409/ . Not really important one way or the other.
o = ocean
m = marine life
Oooops….the Master Class is on Sunday, of course. I knew that. Unfortunately I can’t edit my post. For some reason, I am off a day. Have been that way all week. Don’t know why. Class on Sunday. I will be there. Really.
i = irrigation
g = geyser
C = cruise
I think I will let into my
y = yard
the rest of my little
z = zoo
of pets. Happy last of May!!!
Running out of time, so I’ll toss in another.
W= winsome, warm, wiggly
Not all pets are carnivores so, in addition to your cat, there are other pets who are vegetarians (bunnies, for example) so I think vegetarian works. We used to have a cat that dug up carrots to eat them and another that liked cooked broccoli. You just never know. I was thinking veterinarian, with whom I’m having quite a close relationship lately. Sigh.
u = unique (every pet, even siblings, is unlike any other)
t = treats
My dogs and cats have been rescues too. They are the best…..so….
s = save (they saved me)
o = old timer (my Bella is 14 years old…but the older pets have a lot of life left in them).
Marlene…that’s a great way to use these techniques. What fun!
L = love, lively, lick, lap (and my cat Larry)
k = kibble
j = jump (often for joy)
Wow…that’s a challenge. Is there any chance this cat will allow himself to be vacuumed? My brother had a Maine Coon cat (well, at least he claimed it was) and it had very thick fur that was hard to brush, but the cat loved to be vacuumed and that sucked out the loose hair before it got to the matting stage. I know not all cats enjoy this process but I had to ask.
I don’t know if this would work, but I just heard about the LICKI Brush for cat grooming, but I don’t think there is anyway I could keep my cat laughing himself to death if I tried it: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1046165765/licki-brush-lick-your-cat
In honor of your kitty:
F = furry
Docile…? Hmmm, never met my cat.
E = exercise
B = brush
Y = Yorkie (Yorkshire terrier)
v = Vizsla
https://www.dogbreedinfo.com/vizsla.htm — isn’t the color lovely?
t is for terrier (though I did know someone who kept a tarantula as a pet)
p = pigeon (though, in these parts, pot-bellied pigs are very popular as pets)
L = llama or lamb
I agree…people did lovely work (and gave me more than a few ideas). Best of luck!
