This is my 2nd incorporating the suggestion you made, Cassel.  However, I still wanted to bring the eye up to the top right corner as well, so I removed the glitter tube, copied the flower several times with an adjustment in the size, and grouped 3 in the bottom left corner and one in the top right corner.  I think I concentrated more in this scrapbook, and have learned a lot.

Thanks – I really am enjoying all the ideas each participant has.

Thanks a lot Carole.  My daughter-in-law, Laurie, said that the glitter tube I used to kind of tie the bottom left corner with the top right corner just wasn’t right.  I like your idea to cluster the flowers in the bottom left corner instead.

On another note, I am not the only one interested in the “Simple” set of filters.  I am still working on trying to get a handle on it.  I feel sure that somewhere there must be an *.exe maybe that has the missing *.dll’s.  Anyway, I have a support question in Corel addressing it.  When I get an answer, if it solves the problem, I will let you know so you can get it to all who ask about it.  One thing I notice, is that EukaEuka’s use of it in the last project does not have the same effect it had in the first project!!!

I am late in getting up this morning as I was really stressed out yesterday trying to get a handle on it.  So – my Busy Bees project will have to wait a bit.

Love all of you and am really impressed with everyone’s project!

Finally ready with the 3 picture project (not the BusyBees).  The colors for the various papers and the glitter pattern were not working out for me so I experimented with changing colors and this is the result.  Also used glitter in the “tube”.  I am not completely happy with the final result as it seems to be lacking something.  But here it is anyway.

Joan, loved your 3 photos of gardens and that gives me inspiration for my project.  Thanks.

Love seeing all the work you all are doing.  I’m still a rookie at this, but was inspired by Euka Euka and DiGregor who used photos for the background instead of paper.  So, I made another copy of Laurie and the State Park and came up with this.  I will still have to do my new project, but that is on the wait list.

Sorry – That was Euka Euka, not Eula Eula.  And she said the filter she used was a simple “4 way average filter”.  Where is that located?  Also with the 2nd project I had thought about using a landscape picture as the background and I see that Lynda DiGregor has done hers that way very effectively.  Really love to see the way everyone expresses their creativity in doing these projects!  Thank you, Carole.

OK, I am ready to post my 2nd project.  I redid it a number of times before being satisfied with it.  I love looking at every ones work.  Really marvelous. Eula Eula has done a number of things I would like to know how to do – especially her 1st one.  Eula, you used your picture as the background, but it is like the picture is behind a veil and barely recognizable as the same picture.  Also, it appears you used the boards of the building as the rectangular strip.  Really an amazing picture.  In my 2nd project, I experimented with changing the complete color in order to get the dark brown strip.  As a matter of fact, I had experimented with changing a gold strip to brown and had to delete it.  However, the materials palette kept the foreground and background of what I was trying to do so when I brought in the new rectangular layer (which was also a golden hue) something I did changed it to the dark brown I was looking for!!! I couldn’t find any flowers to use that appealed to me.  The gold leaf was good for keeping the color I wanted and so I duplicated it and resized copies of it and turned them different directions. The red heart and the gold bow I got from a pizza freebie kit.  I am really amazed and love what everyone is doing.  Really enjoying this bootcamp.

                    Hi, Carole and friends!

Yes I went back to Sammy and Charlie this morning and added shadows, changed the font of the date.  I really had trouble getting that rectangle to go horizontal! played with giving shadow to the text but that didn’t look right.  I had to keep your tutorial up and refer back to it frequently both yesterday and today.  I am playing around with where to put the projects and where to put scrapbooking tools.  I decided to make new folders under Corel Paint Shop Pro main heading since I have several copies of PSP as I almost always get the upgrade in Ultimate.  You had mentioned in one of your pdf books that PSP 7 or 8 is better at getting an old colored photo which is faded with time to “smarten up” and look like new.  For some reason I had a problem with finding drop shadow until I went over your tutorial this morning.  Love how you teach.

OK – I had a lot of fun with this one.

OK – I did learn more this time, although I had to keep the tutorial up and go over the transfer part more than once.  However, I did better than the last bootcamp as I added a tablecloth this time.  Couldn’t figure out how to do a napkin so I left that off.  I did remember how to turn the handle of the cup to the right which is what I did last time.  I had a problem with the tablecloth, but did manage it at the last.  Whew!!  So here is my result.

These are 2 of the ones I selected to work with.  They are my great grandchildren.

Trying again.  For some reason I have trouble really understanding layers even though in Video Studio I understand Overlays which are like layers in PSP.  I have several pictures that I will use and I was attempting to do one on 3/29/20 a spring day in Memphis, TN with 3 or 4 snaps of the beautiful flowers that were blooming that day.  And then there is a picture of 2 of my great grandchildren that was so cute.  I did do a scrapbook page of them sometime in the past 2 years and I believe it was after my last bootcamp.  It turned out pretty good.  Maybe I will use it and do something different with them this time.

Hi, I use PSP to work on photos before bringing them in to Visual Studio.  This is one sample I used in preparing a video for my daughter-in-law’s 50th birthday.  It is the opening to a play we did.  I used a photo of a castle and changed the color picture to a spooky black & white.  I cut out a little red dragon from a picture of dragons we had used to decorate the house. The red dragon comes in from the top and moves across the castle to exit the video at the left middle.  I will upload a pic from the video since the website doesn’t accept movies.

OK, now I have created the sandwich on a plate and saved it as a jpeg.  Thanks for showing me how to combine to png layered files by untabbing in Window.  attached is my sandwich on a plate.

I am brand new to this blog.  I am not sure if this is where I say Hi – although this is Day 3, I am just on Day 1.  I have used PSP before so my set up is the default one.  I have not changed my preferences, but I may change to medium or light grey background.
